It’s a shame I can’t give a 0 rating as they would not answer the phone and has very bad customer service don’t go

We ordered salt and pepper CHICKEN as part of our order, got home and they had gave us salt and pepper chips instead of chicken. We rang up to explain that some of our order was wrong only to be greeted by a very confrontational woman who basically stated we were the ones in the wrong and that “chicken and chips were two completely different things” I had stated yes they are two completely different things so was unsure how she got our order wrong, again this woman told us that we were wrong. After 5 minutes on the phone explaining to the woman we had received an incorrect order and the woman arguing that we were the ones in the wrong, we went down the shop to ask for our money back from the salt and pepper chips as we didn’t order them and already had ordered a bag of chips, again this woman was very confrontational and argumentative, I stated she was making a big deal out of something which just really wasn’t a big deal it was literally just chips, this woman proceeded to say “it was in fact a big deal because we had ordered the salt and pepper chips” (which we hadn’t). I stated “what happened to the customer is always right” and she very sarcastically laughed at us. No apology for getting our order wrong and no apology for being confrontational and arguing with a paying customer. Very unprofessional service and staff member very very rude.

I ordered my meal (chicken and king prawn curry with boiled rice + a large curry sauce and a extra portion of pineapple) The other things ordered were ok. when i got home and opened my meal I noticed there was no chicken or pineapple.At first they argued saying the meal was right but later admitted the order was wrong. The manageress told my wife she would take 10% off my next order to compensate. This doesn't cover the missing food so I asked for the manageress Hanna to phone me back but they refused.

I was in the shop to collect my food and saw the kitchen staff or owner come out shouting at the poor counter girls and slammed the kitchen door. That’s horrible. Feel sorry for the counter girls. Their food is tasty but after witnessing how the staffs been treated I don’t think I will want to go back. They need to treat staff better because they work hard in the front non stop.

Awful slimy food..I had a house special and have had stomach cramps and the rest since eating their food. Horrendous metal taste. Just awful

Waited 2 hours to get some of the worst Chinese take away we have ever eaten. I am actually shocked after hearing this was the best in Sunderland at how bad the food was. Greasy and slimy is what you get. I’d avoid this like the plague.

The food here is of a very high standard but make sure you order early otherwise due to its popularity you,ll have a long wait'

Although a little more expensive that other takeaways, it is well worth the little extra. Food is good.

Best in Sunderland. Never fails to deliver lush, tasty food. Staff are friendly.Cannot fault.Tried other Chinese Takeaways but all fall short of Happy Valley....

Could not recommend ‘Happy Valley ‘ enough. Staff are very helpful and happy to order to your requirements and food is delicious. It does get very busy both in the shop and on telephone especially at weekends but certainly worth waiting for! You won’t regret it!

Happy Valley Chinese has got to be one of the top 10 in and around Sunderland!! If you haven’t tried it you would be a fool not too 😜

Tried this place during our usual visit to friends but our regular place was closed. Very pleasantly surprised. Brilliant food. They seemed busy but we now know why.

Love this take away, think we've tried everything on the menu. Special chow mien is the best I've ever had. Friendly staff and fabulous delivery drivers

It's been awhile since we had a takeaway meal from Happy Valley but the food was excellent as always ordered on phone and collected 45mins later good value to cartons filled to the top

I've been going here for years and it's one of the best chinese takeaways I've had. The food is always great, portions are generous and service is always great. You to wait a little bit longer at weekends but it's always worth the wait.

La comida es realmente bonita desde aquí. Teníamos un pollo al curry y carne chow principal. Un montón de carne los platos. Arroz frito es muy agradable también. La única cosa que les falló esta vez eran las patatas fritas. No eran tan bonitas como normal, un montón de termina. En general realmente buena comida merece la pena una visita. Pluss que proporcionan. Los conductores son siempre muy agradable.

We can Not fault this take away at all. The food,service and even delivery drivers are top notch. I have tried many Chinese take away in sunderland and always come back to happy valley. Try the special Chow Mein you won't regret it.

The best Chinese takeaway food in sunderland always has been. Not a massive menu like many other takeaways but I think this is why there food is so good, the food that is on there menu is always to the very best quality and taste.

Wrong order delivered .Been using these for 37 yrs and rang to say this and was told " that's wot you ordered" terrible customer service. They shud know my usual order. Very disappointed.

We order from happy valley a lot. The food is good especially the beef curry. The delivery drivers are always chatty and pleasent when they drop off your food
