Happy Sundaes in Newark and Sherwood

I popped in the Happy Sundaes on Thursday after seeing a advert in the Free Newark Magazine. I had a Crepe with Lemon and Sugar and a cup of tea. The Crepe was delicious and red hot. Soaked in Lemon and Sugar. I will definitely be back . A.C

Lovely,friendly welcome.Very dog friendly too.Food amazing,good value for money.Generally all day breakfasts and items,ice creams,coffee and cakes. Very clean.You are made to feel like you dont have to leave.We were so relaxed we almost forgot to leave.The owner spoke to us about how he came about the cafe and what changes he made.Intersting.We had to full breakfasts and 2 coffees for just £10

Not sure what I needed more. A delicious coffee. Or a little help juggling a baby and toddler. All 3 members of staff went above and beyond. Not because it was necessary, just to be nice. We will definitely be back.

Visiting family last weekend they advised me to go here, what a lovely little place. The kids absolutely loved there desserts. Will be returning again next time I'm in Newark.

Popped in with some friends for a coffee and cake. Was lovely. Staff were super friendly and very attentive.

Happy Sundaes never fails to impress. The ice cream and food is fabulous, the staff are wonderful with the children which makes us come back time and time again. We’ve sampled many of the ice creams, and have recently tried the afternoon tea for both adults and children- it was lovely! Would highly recommend! The breakfasts are also definitely worth a try as well.

I went here today after seeing their pictures online to try their coffee and cake deal. I was expecting an array of scrummy looking cakes and cheesecakes. Nope. The only cake there, was a chocolate fudge cake, so I chose that, thinking it would be homemade. Instead it was the usual mass produced type, with a synthetic tasting gungy filling and dry cake. I didn’t eat it. The server came to clear the table and asked if I wanted to take it home, I said, no thanks as it wasn’t nice. She just said oh, in a disinterested way. No offer of a replacement, partial refund or 2nd drink. There were scones and a couple of flat looking fridge slices too. The americano was lovely but there are many other cafes in town providing far better cakes, scones etc and far better attitudes! Ok if you just want an ice cream but I wouldn’t give them any of my money again.

Had a great meal deal, toastie, cake and a drink for £6 I also tried the ice cream a few days ago and it’s gorgeous
