Happy House Chinese Takeaway in Reigate and Banstead

We always have a good experience with this takeaway. Food always ready very fast and very tasty. The salt and pepper chips are my favorite along with the curry ribs. The quantity of food is very generous for the price and I am becoming a regular customer here!

Ordered with them and had to call after 1 hour to see how long it might take for the food to arrive to be told they hadn’t even started cooking it. Food arrived cold. Probably won’t order again.

Singapore noodles way too spicy the last 2 times I ordered it. Won't be getting it again. Straight in the bin sadly. Shame as quality of the meats is good.

Had take away delivered this eve, not at all as tasty as we usually get, very disappointed.

If you don not order how many item they whant they not going to take your order! I am really disappointed

Previously ordered on 2nd January and took 1.5 hours to arrive. Ordered again today and took nearly 2 hours to arrive and all of the food was freezing cold!

Me and my partner ordered from here for the first time and we loved the food . It was greasy and it was hot we very much enjoyed are food , definitely order from there again .

Please stop serving old food. It is very obvious you even re-serve cooked rice from the day before or from the freezer. We can tell the food is not fresh AT ALL. Very disappointing.

A long black hair was mixed into one of our dishes yesterday. Shame. No hair nets and obviously poor hygiene.

Need to get yourself a better delivery driver, like one that speaks English. Gave full address over the phone when I ordered, including postcode. How could you get it so wrong? All the driver had to do was Google the place and it would of lead him straight to me. Instead he trys calling with very little English and text me with a completely different postcode than what I just spelt out on the phone. Sorry the food came back but after 10 minutes of messing around with the delivery I wasn't prepared to eat cold food.

I ordered salt and pepper chips but they obviously didn't know how to season them properly. The Singapore rice was really dry and the curry sauce was so thick it just stayed in one blob on my plate. I'll be going back to my usual place, I wouldn't recommend .

So called at 18.31 and spent 45 pound for for food at 19:31 I rang them up driver has just left I then rang again at 20:02 still can’t get hold of the driver and was promised that the manager would ring me back to sort something out I called again at half 8 and the manager was cooking for me again I then called at 20:41 and told them on the phone that I’m still waiting long day at work kids had school in the morning and there still waiting for there dinner starving and keep having the phone put down on us I would avoid this place as much as possible seems they have a habit of stealing peoples money and not delivering there food!!!

Ordered £45 worth of food waited 2 hours and called the restaurant but could not get a straight answer about where our food was or how long it would be apart from the delivery driver had left 45 minutes ago. Staff there didn’t seem to care and just kept on fobbing me off. The food eventually arrived with food missing and last but not least the fortune inside the cookie was the worst I’ve ever had !

We ordered our order, clarified the order, an item turns up that we didnt want nor order. We phone back and are told she read back the order which she did and she also admitted we asked for mild salt and chilli squid , as of course no one asks for mild chips. Rude and utterly unhelpful, and I'm told I'm giving her a hard time as I didn't want to pay chips I didn't ask for , I ask to speak to someone above and im told the owner doesn't speak English and there is no manager. The ribs are salty , the chicken dry and the rest greasy , I'd give this horror show 0 stars had that been an option...

Waited for 2 hours for a delivery on valentine's day, never turned up. When i called they said they would check with the driver, never called back. Then they said it was busy. My wife was concerned they might spit in the food so i decided to go down there to get a refund. Caught the delivery driver on his way out, he confirmed he had no deliveries for my address, when i went in the said it was on its way, until i challenged them. They apparently processed the refund transaction but gave me the merchant copy, i had to record them on video confirming they would refund the payment if it didn't go through. Ruined our valentine's and in a furious state. No food, don't know if the refund went through or not. Never again!!!! (Happy house = unhappy customer) If you looking for a good chinese near Redhill i recommend Phoenix's, solid service and great food and we have been using them for years. (just happens that they are closed today, just my luck!)

We got a nice takeaway from happy house and we were happy 😃😃🤪i would give them 3.5 overall nice vegetarian options we got mix veg chow mien,tofu dishes and egg rice and veggie pancakes which are mini spring rolls 😬 the food was good quantity wise also sufficient for two ppl i would have given 4 stars but sweet and sour was all sweet and no sour at all which was bit disappointing other than that i found everything right.

Used to be good, but it has gone really downhill, won’t be ordering from them again.

Not even 1 star….came in and one guy was very rude and I just wanted to ask for one thing in the menu…. Horrible Be more respectful with people

This place has been given 1 star for effort. Ordered a chicken curry. What I got was a container of thick brown paste with the worst chicken I've ever tasted. It was dry and unpleasant in everyway. It was so bad I threw it away Avoid going here

Good old Chinese takeaway in Redhill

By far the best Chinese takeaway in the area! Wonton soup, chicken and kind prawn sweet and sour balls, special chow main and rice, ribs omg everything was sooo nice!

Too much oil spoiling the food. Not the usual standard from this otherwise great takeaway.

I’ve tried nearly all the Chinese takeaways in Redhill and Happy House is hands down the best. Chinese takeaway is my fav so that’s high praise from me! Huge portions and great service. I won’t ever use another Chinese takeaway while I’m living in Redhill

Just ordered from here. Very friendly lady who took my order over the phone and got all the details right as requested. The gentleman who delivered was so quick and smiley. Food arrived nice and hot, all dishes tasted lovely. I will definitely order from here again. Thank you happy house!!

Friendly young lady took our phone order and was extremely helpful in helping us choose our dishes. Food was very good quality and excellent value for money. Seasoning on all the dishes was perfect and we would highly recommend this takeaway, it's the best in the area!

Best spring rolls I've had in a long time

They cook veg dishes in non veg pans. Found pork in my veg dish.

The noodle dish was incorrect, despite confirming twice. Sweet-and-sour chicken balls were tough as old boots, tasted like they had been cooked more than once, as did the Crispy shredded chilli beef, which was too tough to eat. I have not needed to complain about any takeaway food for a very long time; however, on this occasion I felt it was necessary to provide them with some honest feedback. Yet, my comments were greeted by laughter from the manager.

Got 3 veggie dishes here on a whim, everything was prepared very quickly and was very tasty

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway for a long way around. We've been exploring the menu and so far everything is excellent. What really makes it though is they are such lovely people and give you a level of care that I would expect in a good restaurant more than a takeaway. They even offered to take the food to my car for me when I was holding a struggling baby. You can't get that sort of treatment in many places. 5 star hygiene too.

There are three chinese restaurants closer to me than this one and I don't own a car, they would deliver of course but I always make the walk. They look after you in there and they have a positive outlook. Best Chinese in Redhill or Reigate.

The mussels tasted funny and the food generally didnt taste very fresh. I wont buy again.

Food was cold. Egg fried rice had barely any egg!! If you squinted you could just about see it. House curry hadn't been stirred, they just dumped the sauce on top of the meat. From this experience I wouldn't recommend them.

Clean place, would be nice if the lady takings orders give you all her attention instead of multitasking of answering other calls, the food itself is average.

This is the first review I've written on Google but after last night's meal from Happy House I feel its only right. We have been ordering from them for a few years now and rarely have any issues. Last nights meal was the best so far. Prompt delivery, generous portions and the food smelt and tasted amazing. My favourite Chinese by a mile, would 100% recommend.

I've been eating food from here for 10 years. Never once been disappointed. Best chinese take away for miles! Keep it up guys!!

We ordered chicken with noodle with spicy sauce, but was so dry without any sauce with little vege. My friend ask for some extra sauce and they gave soya sauce in small cup with some rude Chinese gesticulation. No recommend.

Be careful with there prices. they add a pound here or there. I gave them a order that for weeks and weeks it was £14.80 every time it was delivered. Then one day i was in the shop and it was £12.80.The menu said it was an extra pound because the order was under £15.00 when delivered. the menu said it would be an extra pound if delivered over 3 miles away. I live 1/2 a mile from the shop so the extra pound should not count. so really the delivered orders should only cost £13.80 i pointed this out to them, they couldn't give a reply other than trying to give me prawn crackers free of charge. because i complained they have now taken my delivery details off there computer and making it difficult to order from them

I have ordered delivery over the phone and popped in to collect from the happy house. The food is yummy food and they had a very clean kitchen! They have English speaking delivery drivers and counter staff too, so it was really easy to order and I got my takeaway within 45 minutes!!

Just ordered take away after a long day. Mentioned 3 times no peppers. Guess what? My container is full of peppers!! Stay away if you want to enjoy your dinner!

Pork fried rice, roast pork on bean shoots and sweet and sour chicken. Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted.

Use this takeaway occasionally. Food quality is inconsistent. It used to be much better. Tonight’s food has left me feeling very sick. Arrived lukewarm - we’re only 5 mins drive from them. The batter of the prawn balls was grey inside! The bean sprouts in the pancake rolls were so wilted and slimy that I wondered if they had been frozen. Both ends of the pancake roll were brown, soggy with oil and tasted burnt. The chow mein was really nice and had fresh ingredients, as did the meat dishes - although the sauces of those were gluey-thick. Was left desperately thirsty after eating as if it were too salty.

Service was cheerful enough, the food and the price were average (except the pancake roll which was really quite horrible) so I doubt I'll go there again. They do deliver though (rare for a Chinese in my experience).

Personally, worst service ever... don’t recommend it. Me and my friends ordered food by phone for a few times, and the staff shouted at us when we nicely told them the price in the menu is not right, I understand they don’t own the website but it is unfair how they shouted at us when we were being so polite, I swear.

Reasonably priced with an online menu and fast delivery. You can pay by card over the phone. And if you like prawn toast as your starter they give you lots!
