Good food at excellent prices. Meal deals are great, food is served hot and freshly cooked. Now accepting card as well as cash. Magazines to read and stools to sit on while you wait.

The chips weren’t nice and then when we asked for more cheese on the chips they made the excuse that they had no cheese left

First time here and was not disappointed!! Fair prices, great service and great portions & food. Ordered large cod and chips, kids nuggets meal, chicken burger and 2 battered sausages everything was so fresh. Not a bad thing to say about any part of the order. Would recommend!!!!

Sausage in batter and small chips, surely got to be nice and easy. It was terrible, Appalling anemic dry chips.. must of just been sitting there in the shop just curling up. Most awful sausage in batter. Soggy batter and the sausage tasted flipping awful, definitely sat in the oven for far too long and probably re-heated. First time at this place, definitely wont be going back. No ‘off day’ excuses as this is a chip shop and the menu isn’t that extensive so they should get the basics right all the time, especially the chips!!!

Avoid. Food is awful undercooked pasty chips. Sausage tastes like tesco basic. Savaloy was ok. The best thing was throwing it in the bin to be honest

You need to order like pretty much when they open, because if you’re feeling hungry around 8pm, they have nothing left. A fish and chip shop that runs out of fish 😂

Fish is ok. Decent portion size, but nothing to write home about. The real disappointment for me was the chips - pale, mushy, undercooked. A proper let-down. As this establishment fails to deliver on a fundamental basic, I cannot recommend it. And even though it's my closest fish and chip shop, I won't be returning.

Amazing service. Massive OAP portion.for £5.50 We ordered 11 OAP meals . All fresh and hot Definitely going back there . This is now our new chip shop for our monthly chipshop day Our residents were extremely happy and complimented the good food

Admittedly Huss may not be the most popular fish but it’s my favourite. I always have it by the sea and have probably been spoilt. The rather strange fish I got here was flat like plaice. It did have the Huss bone but there was v v minimal fish. The batter was ok but nothing more. The chips (enormous portion) were v anaemia looking and just frankly not nice. I don’t often eat out takeaway food and this is the reason why ! Never again.

First time I came fish and chips were good. Came this evening and horrendous! Fish batter was like rubber not crispy at all chips soggy, sons burger bun hard, nuggets ok. They must bulk cook them leave all day under hot plate or reheat as evening food terrible but day time is ok.

This place on a Friday night makes you feel like you are coming home. My kids Rachel and Sally adore how they make them feel so welcome. Wonderful asset to the community!

Fish and chips were so good. The fish was large, very fresh, both fish and chips were crispy and hot. Will most certainly stop there again.

Food is good but there is no consistency in quality I'm afraid. Sometimes fish batter is nice and crisp sometimes soaked in oil. I would recommend it as I am coming back myself :) the place has lovely staff and it's very clean.

I am a regular visitor and have always found the fish and chips freshly cooked, the service polite and cheerful and the premises clean. The pensioners portion is adequate and a reasonable price.

Terrible.... I peeled the batter off my battered sausage as it was so rubbery and not at all crispy. Saveloy tasted watery and chips for barely crispy. hadn't been back for about 3 years but I thought I would give it another go ....never again...

An underated chippy. Great chips and quick service (unlike another local seller). Give them a try.

Have been going here for 2 years but have found in the last few months it has been going down hill. Went 3 Saturdays ago and the Fish and Chips were in-edible, the Chips were hard and shrivelled like they were 2 days old and re- heated, the Fish was hard and dry as if it were as old as the Chips. It's a shame as was really nice at first. I will not be going back.

I phoned and ordered 2 OAP portions of fish and chips and 1 medium cod. 10 minutes before the given time, I arrived to collect our lunch. The lady was most apologetic that it wasn't ready but said she was aiming for 1 o'clock. The portions were very generous considering they were for OAPs. The batter was crisp, the fish was tasty, the chips were perfect and the service was excellent.

Crispy batter sausage. Well not crispy more soggy than a wet sponge. Sausage well more meat in a ham salad. And the chips well they where made out of potatos. That's about it.

Just had Fish and Chips from Dovers Green Fish Bar, the Chips were hard dry and like they had been cooked days ago and re-heated. The Fish was hard and full of oil, probably cooked the same day as the Chips. It was the worst Fish and Chips I've had in all my 65yrs. Never going back!

Staff are friendly.a wide range of food.parking can be a task.

If this is your idea of tasty fish and chips. . You really need to get out more.. I just bought sausage and chips.. Sausagecwas ok well to be honest you can't really mess that up.. Chips.. OMG diabolical oily and just unsightly.. When do the owners change the oil.. Its supposed to be every fourth day.. If you don't change the oil then the chips have a tendency to soak up the oil instead of getting cooked..

The fish I ordered was cooked to order. The batter was limp and yellow. I was expecting fluffy bubbly golden crisp batter, but no it was flimsy yellow and not crisp. Must of changed hands as last time i went was a couple of years back. Any one know of a good fish and chip shop in the area.

I placed a big order for a party I was hosting. The people were really nice and friendly and, despite the size of the order, the food was ready on time, really hot, great portions and really tasty.

Great staff and fantastic cod and chip deal for senior citizens.

We have lived in the area for almost 6 years & tried this place out back then & were disappointed so didn't come back for about 5 years. I'm glad we gave it another go because it's now turned out to be a pretty good local chippy. As with any places it can be a bit hit & miss, but it's definitely more hit than miss!

Izzy and I used to come here regularly as we were always assured of a good meal. A few years ago there was a change of ownership and we stopped coming here but thought we would give it a go... mistake. The battered sausages were rubbery and I think a were making a come-back, the chips were only average and the fish was just ok. Nothing to write home about I'm afraid but at least it was better than the Fish n Chips I had in Minneapolis last fall.
