A bit of a hidden gem this, met some colleagues here before an event and would never have known it existed! Great setting with a nice outdoor area, friendly staff and a good quality, reasonably priced breakfast - what more do you need?

There are many experiences I have embarked on in my life: Hiking Mt Everest, navigating the Amazon River and fighting for my life in Iraq. Yet no experience compares to this Cafe. The specials on this menu are delightful! An incredibly well-trained ensemble of staff looked after me with five star service; Hats off to Alex who served me incredibly well! I’m returning to my home in Bagdad tomorrow, but will be flying back next week to come to this cafe - UNFORGETTABLE!

We went in for lunch and a cuppa on Wednesday 12 June. My husband had a baked potato with additions, and said what he got was very good. It was a very big potato and they were generous with the beans and cheese. I had the chicken pie, but sadly, it was awful. Pastry was good, but the chicken and the sauce within the pie were both completely tasteless. I got a leaf of cabbage, which looked as if it was 100 years old (a slight exaggeration there!), and green beans, three of which were about the same age as the cabbage, and the remainder were very undercooked. The one redeeming feature was a jug of gravy: without that I would only have eaten the pastry. As it was, I only ate the pastry and the potatoes with the help of the gravy. We did not complain at the time, because the cafe was full, and I don't like to make a fuss in front of other customers. But we probably will not visit again, which is a pity as his half of the meal was good, but mine was the worst meal I have had for a very long time. Very disappointing: I left hungry, and it turned out to be an expensive non-meal for £15.00.

Nice cafe off the main drag. Popular with bikers. Lovely outdoor seating with a pond and ducks and chookens wandering around. A pleasant inside decor with many talking points. The full English was alright, nothing outstanding. My scrambled eggs were swimming in water, and I didn't bother with most of them. And my bacon had no flavour other than the pepper I put on. Thank goodness for the toast!

The blackberry scones were superb didn’t need jam just cream, well worth having. The Tuna Panini’s were well presented and nice. Plenty of choice between hot and cold food. Easy to Park especially during weekdays when children at school. The cafe is also licensed and takes bookings for functions. This picture of a lovely duck that’s resides at the lake there.

Nine of our classic motorbike club stopped for our bikers' Brunch fry-up on a Sunday morning. It's a lovely quiet spot which isn't obvious, being towards the back of a small industrial estate, but it's alongside a tree-lined lake, ducks, geese and a peacock and plenty of parking and outdoor and shaded seating on the lawned area, excellently prepared and presented food, quick service and good value too. Clean and functional inside and friendly folk. The main lunch menu looked great as well.

Never had a bad meal. The staff are cheerful, friendly and very helpful. Lots of choice on the daily specials board plus the normal menu. The setting of this cafe is lovely with a duck pond and plenty of outside as well as indoor tables. We are always greeted in an open friendly manner, the young lad serving us was good at his job, if a little shy, but he worked well under the watchful eye of the delightful owner. The other staff are just as nice, to be greeted with beaming smiles and natural cheerfulness is rare in this day and age when everyone seems to be either in a hurry or plugged in to some sort of electronic device. If you want a good well cooked food in a friendly, clean cafe give Happy Days a try.If you want posh nosh and posh service ( and pay for it !) then it’s not for you but you will miss out on a great “little gem”

We were passing by and decided not to: instead we turned into the entrance on the spur of the moment to give this Cafe a try as we had never been before but had heard it was "quite good". Parking is round the back in a rather muddled industrial area but it is not a problem, it's just a very short walk. We were immediately welcomed on entering, and told to choose wherever we wanted to sit down. We were intrigued by the life size figure of The King plus his guitar, but soon realised that the whole Cafe is a tribute to Elvis, with photos and memorabilia on every wall. Husband chose a full English, although it was mid-day, and I had the liver and bacon. His looked good when it came and he said that it was indeed good. My liver and bacon came with lots of gravy - an essential as far as I am concerned! - with mash but sadly, very over-cooked beans, broccoli, carrots and Brussels sprouts. But the gravy, liver and bacon were well-cooked and flavourful. They need to chuck out the silly teapot I had, with the spout lower than the top, which meant it dribbled everywhere - one of my pet peeves!. I noticed that other people got better pots with longer spouts, so they do have sensible teapots! The staff were very friendly, and I would think we will return. It has a welcoming atmosphere, and for a quick and well-priced meal without pretentions, it is almost spot on. Would have given them their five "stars" had the veggies not been so soggy.

We visited for breakfast on Sunday 31 July. Unfortunately it wasn't a great breakfast. We both had the set breakfast which included tea/coffee and toast. To be fair, some of the things we didn't like are down to personal choice for example: I like my sausage cooked for longer and my husbands egg was over cooked. However, the ambience is lovely; eating outside overlooking the lake is very relaxing. As another review stated, the tables were not cleared away at all. I was told in a rather surly way that it was baked yesterday. So much for customer service. Anyway, cafes serving cakes that bad - based yesterday or not - should be rather ashamed. Packet mix used for the cheese scones; my teeth were grating with the bicarbonate in the mix. This is a cafe to avoid.
