Happy Choice in Derby

What we ordered was completely different from what was delivered. Have had dinner from here before but this time completely wrong. Shame as they were my favourite local.

Wow! This is one of the best Chinese meals I have ever had. From the initial order the process was smooth and ready within 15 minutes, all the meals were delicious and would highly recommend.

The food that I ordered was not a lot but ment alot to me I ordered a chow main, chicken curry with chips, duck and a can of soda. All I can say I enjoyed every single second of eating it and the person at the counter was really nice so I gave her a tip.

Collected Singapore noodles and duck - served promptly good sized portions and tasty meals. They also have a very good hygiene rating unlike some of their competitors.

Usually a good takeaway but the last 3 times we’ve ordered have been terrible. Unreliable delivery service and terrible phone manners!! The food we couldn’t fault until recently as we’ve always been regular customers but I’m sure changes have been made. we will definitely not be ordering from them or recommending them again.

Litrally love it ! It’s the only Chinese me and my family order from , never once had a problem with the food or service the woman who answers the phone is so lovely, would deffo recommend ordering from here it’s 10/10 x

So Christmas eve I fancied somthing quick to eat as I had loads to do at home before I went over to my dads ready for Christmas day. It took over an hour and a half for the food to get here, I called them up after an hour and they said we will sort it out now. I ordered 1 crispy beef and 1 vegetable fried rice. Then I get the delivery to find out its not even what I ordered, they left me with about 6 different things And with me being allergic to nuts I didnt know if any of this food I was dumped with had any nuts in. me being really hungry and very late as it is, I ate some of the chicken and some of the ribs and tasted the noodles. Come to Christmas day I wake up at 6am in the morning and couldn't stop throwing up. I was back and forth to the toilet untill 3pm in the afternoon and spent the rest of the day asleep in bed. So I will definitely not be going back. I understand it could of been busy on Christmas eve but its no excuse.

A colleague recommended this place to me after I was caught complaining about the lack of good Chinese in Derby. My goodness am I happy to have found this place. Myself and my partner shared the Thai chilli chicken and tofu with black bean sauce - both were amazing. Rice and spring rolls also good. I’ve found my new go-to Chinese in Derby. We ordered a takeaway to have with friends and quite enjoyed it. A little greasy but that's par for the course with Chinese cuisine.

Had a Chinese takeaway with friends last night which was delivered for only £1 which we all thought was brilliant We had the set meal for 4 which was absolutely amazing.The quality of all of the food was fantastic and the amount was incredible.....the service was great especially as it was a Saturday night at 8 pm......l can't praise this takeaway enough. It is without doubt the best takeaway l have had.......our friends agreed it was for them. Can't wait for the next one.

I will keep this really simple... our meal from here was very, very good!! As in the title, hot, tasty and full of flavour! The sweet and sour pork balls were amazing! Will definitely have a take away from here again 👍🏼

We ordered a meal For two and must say my Singapore curry and special rice was rleally nice and very hot but lovely ,my partner had sweet and sour chicken with plain boiled rice and you get free prawn crackers .lovely

Was told about this Chinese takeaway by my daughter to which herself & partner have used before. Fantastic menu to which we had chicken curry , fried rice, pancake rolls, honey ribs, & prawn crackers to which were hot & very tasty especially the ribs .

I had come back from a really enjoyable holiday in Portugal and decided to order a take away. It was delivered with an apology from the driver that he had been sent to the wrong address . it was stone cold. I phoned to complain and was told that if I could return it then they would do something about it. No brainer I had it delivered so I didn't have to get the car out. Very disappointed.

All in all, a decent meal. The chips, rice, beef curry, chicken curry, king prawns, were all good, as were the fried bananas for dessert, which were great! The vegetable samosas were small fried samosas, bite size, that I probably wouldn't order again, otherwise we all enjoyed the meal. By the way, we ordered online and asked for delivery. Food arrived quickly and after giving the driver a generous tip he actually came back from the car saying he'd counted the money and we'd overpaid. Honest guy. We hadn't, that was his tip, and he was most appreciative.

I ordered a Chicken Chow Mein from Happy Choice this Saturday night, and I was very disappointed with my food. Not only did it arrive late and we had to chase up the order, but there was very little chicken in my meal. It was 90% noodles and the rest onion, with barely any meat at all. Would not recommend and unlikely to be ordering from here again.

got 2 set meals, one sweet and sour pork balls and one crispy chilli beef - pork was black and gross and crispy chilli beef i would recommend renaming as flaming soft beef, rank! also took an hour and 15 minutes to deliver!!! :-(

We ordered our food, they said it would take an hour and a half, we rang after a two hour wait and they hadn't even processed the order. Very angry, hungry, disappointed people. Would we use again....no way. Didn't even sound bothered

Good value takeaway always prompt delivery. Good range of set meals and wide range of starters. Tasty meal every time. Mixed meat curry a good meal wide range of rice options

called in last Saturday for a quick family takeaway. we picked a set menu dinner and asked if we could substitute an item or another on the menu. we were charged a £1 extra to change,..but then we spotted the menu difference was only 20p. we asked for the change but it wasn't possible so we gave in, but do you really need to overcharge?. other customers were arguing about who ordered first but got served after. the food was actually OK and in good quantity, but who needs the hassle. not such a happy choice!
