Absolutely shambolic, had to give 1 star for food wouldn’t allow me to put zero as ordered food and never received it so couldn’t actually criticise it. Phoned up was told the manager would speak to me turns out he wasn’t there. Apparently helping with deliveries, probably the reason I never received my food. 3 hours later still nothing all the other 1 star reviews are correct. They are con artists asked for refund didn’t get it back. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Wish I had read reveiws before ordering.

Chinese I always have here and so nice

STAY CLEAR! Food disgusting! Inedible, tasted of extremely strong vile chemicals and totally inedible! They left a family, including the elderly and chronically ill disabled children, plus adults vomiting and in excruciating pain for more than 24 hours, and didn't even have the decency to provide a refund! Stay away and save yourself the horrific pain and discomfort of extreme food poisoning!

DO NOT USE! We had a chinese last night. The sweet and sour sauce we poured over our meal was laced with chemicals. Our food was all inedible and 2 of us were sick. After holsing for 40 mins rhey offered a free sauce next time. We said that it had been poured all over our food. They said thry wpuld 'try' to refund but we expect that never happened. We are xontscting the FSA and Coincil and have kept the sauce. food poisoning and use of chemicals to harm customers is not ok. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Great fresh food, and great customer service!

Gravy is flavourless. Curry is strong and nice. Enjoyed noodles and rice too. Salt and pepper mushrooms are hit and miss. Calm down with the MSG. It was painfully "salty" last time.

Placed an order through just eat and it took 3 hours to deliver. Restaurant refused refund NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN

Worst chinese I've ever had curry sauce was way to hot the egg fried rice was just boiled rice with scrambled egg the chip were old the chicken was hard in the chicken balls 😫 the only half decent thing was the prawn crackers never again

Ordered tonight was awful. The noodles where so plain could tell the rice had been microwaved as had a awful smell & was all stuck together. Was unable to even eat this. Just not good at all!! Would recommend to shut down and new ownership take over. Not a nice place!

This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted not only that, but it was some of the worst food period, that I have ever tasted. I ordered 6 DISHES NONE were eatable. if you're looking to eat grey sludge i can recommend.

I can’t rate the food as it’s been over 2 hours since placing the order. No updates from the restaurant. Would expect more staff on a Saturday to meet increased demand, not fewer!

Always consistently good food, great delivery service too. We’ve been ordering from here for a couple of years now and always enjoy it. Really can’t say that about other Chinese take sways around here

Awful service. Ordered via Ubereats at around 6.40 with an estimated delivery time of 7.15-7.35pm. No food by gone 8 so I started calling and the phone just wasn't answered. After 7 attempts someone answered. They apologised for the phone ringing out all the time saying they were 'really busy' and said they had no control over delivery times as that's down to the drivers. I asked why bother putting a time on the order then and they had no answer. They then said my food was ready and just waiting to be picked up and that would probably take another 20 minutes! It's now gone 9pm & my food hasn't arrived so presumably will now have been sitting around for over 45 mins. I said this really wasn't good enough & they had nothing much to say. Will not be using again. Absolutely useless (wish I'd read other reviews before ordering, seems a common issue).

For your own benefit, Do not believe the just eat stars/reviews. Ordered via just eat at 7:00pm and had a delivery time of 8:25pm to 8:45pm. Fine. Received a just eat notification that food was delivered at 9:15pm, not the case. Immediately called the shop and requested an update. Phoned the shop and was immediately put on hold for 10 minutes, while on hold I could hear members of public demanding refunds in the shop for waiting too long. Finally the gentleman explained a further 30 minutes until delivery (taking me to 10:00pm) and the notification on just eat was a mistake. DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY!

2 hours late with delivery, ended up going down to see if we were actually going to get it as they don't answer the phone. Sadly I wasn't the only 1 on speaking to another customer in there. Good ok, but nothing special had kind of gone past the point of being hungry by then anyway!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! Ordered on Just Eat and two hours later I had had enough so I went to the shop. Was met but a man who had no idea what was happening with order all over the place! There was people coming in and out all complaining! He did not have my order and said it would be 5 minutes. 10 minutes later I demanded a refund and walked out! Some poor people had been waiting over 3 hours!

Due to the long wait we were really hungry by the time the food arrived this was the worst Chinese food ever paid £12 for a quarter of duck completely dry....duck sauce horrible, banana fritter worse ever tasted......it was 15 mins past the late time which was already a long wait time, was very expensive and a waste of money.

Delivery was right on time but food was pretty dreadful. Pork was too fatty, there was no real flavour to anything and I had to throw away all the sesame prawn toast as I could smell it was off as soon as I opened the bag, tried tasting it and it had a wierd vinegarry taste so I wasn't taking any chances.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese I've ever had, undercooked batter on the chicken balls, no taste with the chow mein and the chips were stone cold which surprised me as I picked my order up 5 minutes before they said it would be ready. Will definitely be taking my custom elsewhere....

This is my go to place for well over 15 years...and never had a bad word to say about it ... Today I ordered mine and my family's favourites ... Happiness inn special chow mein...which had nothing special about it ... There was no mushrooms or sweet corn no beef and 3 little prawns instead of king prawns ... Shredded chicken and pork instead of the usual chunks of meat... it seemed to me that they had taken a plain chow mein and jus added shredded chicken and pork ...The bbq spare ribs were in a oily sauce and extremely tough... The sweet and sour chicken balls were half decent if it hadn't been fort the metallic tasting sauce... And the duck in plum sauce tasted more like a surgery syrup ... Sad to say it's really put us off as a family and won't be coming bk any time soon

Gravy has zero flavour. Bbq sauce tastes like normal gravy (but a little flavourless). Fried rice and chow mein very nice (depending on day).

Well the place needs a good clean we got chicken with pineapple the chicken was rubbery got chips with that which were cold wont go there again.

Food quality is on and off some days is OK and sometimes it can be a bit oily but the flaver is still nice and the price is decent.

Absolutely shocking. Don’t waste you’re money!

The rice was small brown hard obviously burnt. The chow mein looked and tasted old and re heated. The curry sauce was like water even though I stirred it to try give it some life. I have had meals from here before and it's been passable but this meal was a total waste of money and went into the bin. I'll try else where next time .

Mediocre food not helped by wait time. We ordered from here 18:54, with arrival being over 2 hours after. Not only were our moods ruined because of the wait time, we were missing a dish. We rang to get that rectified and were offered to either have it sent now or have "a note by the till" for the next time we ordered. When ordering from new places, trade-offs are common however choosing to order from here was more to sacrifice than trade-off. We will not be ordering from here again and neither should you. Save not just your money but also your time.

Tastless and unappealing. Egg fried rice was a dirty brown colour and tasted of burnt oil. Plenty of chicken in my chicken and cashew but it had been boiled and was rubbery and tasteless. The sauce tasted very oily. Although soft the best parts of the meal were the cashews and water chestnuts. Threw about 80% of the meal away, it was awful.

We have had food from Happiness Inn many times over the years, ordered direct and via Just Eat. The food is always freshly cooked, hot and tasty. The drivers are always friendly and polite. Absolutely top place and worth 10/10 on all fronts.

I can not comment on how good or probably bad the food tasted so after constant calling after 4 hours our food turns up and surprise surprise cold!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could, ordered food for delivery told 1 hour for delivery, 3 hours later and still no food! Tried calling and calling no asner, 4 hours later we decided to go down there because they are due to close soon and we still haven't had a delivery they hadn't even started cooking our food! Wouldn't even give one star! Woke the whole house up at nearly 11pm 3 hours after they delivered the food, trying to charge us for ribs we didn't even receive, the order was placed and paid through just eat, called to order ribs told we had to pay by cash, didn't arrive, so we didn't pay food was cold and took over an hour after order so couldn't be bothered to chase food we didn't pay for to get more cold food, women drive came close while shouting repeat to the person on the phone with no mask on had to shut door. Absolutely disgusting customer service and putting lives at risk. Last time I order from there.

Don't order if you want on time food the Uber app says food is on its way. 1 hour later still no food. Call the shop to be told still not left the shop. Blamed Uber. Really. Our order been cancelled due to the driver wasn’t able to find the address.... even if I sent him 3 sms with instructions to use the address in navigation, not the post code.... He just make a quick call, told me can’t find the address, been quite rude and just cancelled our order.... Re-order again.... call them a couple of times... spoke with a lady who doesn’t know what’s going on.... and... now just sitting and waiting to receive our food... Just don’t waste your time and order from somewhere else....

Ordered in uber eats. 30mins after arrival time we phoned it took us 10 minutes not to get a busy tone. When we did get through the person was rude and confused. Couldn't confirm when it would be and told us to cancel or refuse. We had to make alternative arrangements as we had 3 tired hungry kids. When the delivery eventually arrived the poor guy hadn't been warned. We politely refused the delivery. Now the fight to get our money back.

Not pleased with the service and food received today! Ordered at 5:30 and the food arrived at 8 despite Uber Eats saying it would arrive between 6:30. When the food arrived, it was barely warm! £2 for a tiny pot of satay sauce, £4 for a small tub of seaweed (where you get a bigger tub for cheaper elsewhere). Don’t waste your time and money ordering from here unless you like cold food.

Delivered on time but has to be the worst Chinese I have ever eaten every thing was brown and greasy and tasteless and expensive.

We tried this chinese first time a few weeks ago and all commented on how nice the food was. Quick collection time and the staff were very polite and friendly, especially the counter girl. Have ordered again since and will use again.

Ordered and waited over 2 and half hours for it to not turn up.kept being told it was on its way and with the driver.

Placed an order through Uber eats at 1800 on Friday evening, estimated delivery time was 18.55 - 19.15 I hadn’t received my order by 20.15 so I phoned the restaurant on continuous call back, a total of 200 times, their phone was constantly engaged I got through once and the phone rung off. Uber contacted me at 21.00 asking me to rate my order, which I replied I hadn’t received it, although the Uber app was stating that I had received it at 18.57??? I then had a knock on my door at 21.40 with my order, the girl said “that I didn’t need to accept it as it was late” something which I never intended doing as it was so late and I had made alternative arrangements. I am still waiting for a response from Uber with regards to a refund. I understand that you may have had problems or could’ve been short staffed, but at least keep customers updated or at least answer your phone. Very poor service, I shall not order from here again!

Made an order at 6pm they said it will be at 7:05pm , writing this review at 8:44 pm and still nothing , tried to contact 14 times , nobody responded, no updates nothing , OMG... i demand my refund!!!

Always loved this takeaway. However, first time since lockdown we’ve ordered so we’re looking forward to it immensely. Placed the order and was advised 1 hour which I take with a pinch of anyway! 2 hours later, delivery is made with a main dish missing. I called and was asked if I’d like another but I’d have to wait (it’s already 8.30pm) or it can be held as ‘credit’ on my mobile number next time I call. No apology at all (which in my book would have gone a long way) from the young lady and I’ve opted for the credit although I have little confidence they‘lol remember me in another 3 months. Food when arrived was hot and even though I asked for an uptodate menu to be included, it wasn’t! Ho hum!!

First order and very impressed with the quality of the food

I ordered a meal through Uber Eats. After waiting 40 minutes my order was cancelled by Happiness Inn. I rang them and they confirmed that they cancelled this order as they didn’t have my correct address- despite us getting meals from them before!- I have contacted Uber but they refuse to refund me as they claimed I cancelled the order - complete rubbish!

Turned up in good time and was edible is the most I can say positive for this review. Food was bland and in short supply. The ribs were bitesize, fatty and with next to no meat. Won't be ordering from here again.

Was very happy with our meal this evening. Everything tasted lovely. I had vegetables in satay sauce, which was quite spicy... just how I like it! Mushroom chow mein was good too. My partner's chicken curry was the best Chinese curry he's had. Will definitely order from here again!

New owners- lost loyal customers! Been ordering from here for over 16 years- but last month we were served chicken balls with raw chicken in them, the bbq sauce was black and watery and smelt like tar! I called to complain but was told the manager was too busy to speak to me so to phone back later when it was more convenient for him!!!! We returned the food for a refund- won’t return here again even if it was free!

Last few times including tonight we have tried to order for nearly an hour and its constantly busy and when u go in no one is on the phone they have forgotten to hang up properly

Boyfriend had prawn balls and prawn chow mein last night. Since 4am this morning he has been throwing up and not got off the toilet. Will not be eating from here again!! Not nice for him or me cleaning it off the floor early hours of the morning. Food was also so greasy and re-cooked

Food looks and tastes how it should be

Our go-to local Chinese takeaway. Decent kung po chicken and chips, yummy chicken satay skewers and their curry sauce is top notch. Friendly staff. They only take cash and you can't order via Just Eat, but it doesn't matter because its worth the extra effort!

Great, quick service with a wide selection on the menu which is all cooked to perfection with affordable prices. I have been here on a number of occasions and can certainly say that this is the nicest Chinese takeaway within Sittingbourne. The staff are always welcoming and friendly no matter how big or small the order. Comfortable seating is available while you wait and all food is cooked fresh.
