Munchy Box! There is Salt & Pepper then there is inedible! So much salt you can’t eat this don’t bother wasting your money!

The customer service over a telephone call this evening was extremely poor . I cancelled an order this evening due to this . This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and unfortunately I will not be returning. I feel it’s my duty to report this not only for the next unfortunate customer but to the owner who is lost a customer and a bad reflection on the business and I don’t expect this is the first time .

This Chinese changes hands, ownership regularly and has been done by environmental health a few times. Go a bit further into Kirkham to be spoilt by 2 far better options.

First time getting this tonight. We ordered a munchy box. Absolutely brilliant, bargain to loads of food and to top it off it was here 25 mins early. Will definitely be back

Pork fried rice was the best I've had in a while, plenty of choice for every palate, I just fancied something light this time round.

Very polite staff ordered for first time yesterday collected after 20 mins food was hot and tasted amazing , ordered a munchy box and a chicken curry which was one of the best I have ever had (and I’ve had lots ! ) highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back 😀

Took an age to come. Well worth the wait though. It has to be the best Chinese we have had In a long time. Food was plentiful, tasty and piping hot. I only marked it down due to the long wait.

Wanted to charge me more than the price on the menu and was very unfriendly when I questioned it. Only a small amount but was the principle. Eventually was told it was for the bag but it was a munchie box and didn't have a bag, so was then told it was for the box!. Anyway, the main criticism is the food. Wanted a salt and pepper munchie box, all I got was food that must have had a full salt container poured all over it. Inedible! Trying to finish it off would have finished me off.

Still the same owners under a different name. I only found this out when I ordered food because I thought it was under new management. The guy(who was very professional and polite) forgot to put the phone down and I heard the lady who owns it shouting at him for taking my order because previously I complained. What a joke!!!

I don't no if this take away has recently changed hands but the quality of the food and delivery time has improved massively. Well worth another try if you have previously wrote it off. This was previously a 1 start review.

Easily the best Chinese we have had. Food was amazing, and was ready for collection on time. Staff were so friendly. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

The gentleman on the phone is always so lovely. Clear and precise to make sure there aren't any misunderstandings, the food is always spot on and we order different things each time. Best Chinese we've had and top trumps the other ones in the area by a mile.

I had the salt and pepper box. It had so much seasoning on it that the food wasn't edible.

Great food. Shame they do not know how to run a business effectively. If you are busy, hire more staff for the demand instead of making people wait over 2 hours, or simply stop taking orders until you have caught up. Lack of payment options seems to be an issue as well. I would give 5 stars if service was better and run more efficient.

Fantastic service and very welcome. Food is on another level and would recommend. Only downside is payment methods. They don't seem to like card payments.

first time ordering from this place, and last !!! this cafe is called The New Fortune. The portions are very small, just dough in the shrimp dumplings. for £ 26 at East Ocean in Kirkham the whole family would eat.

Literally the WORST take away I’ve ever eaten, it ended up in the bin.... service wasn’t great and they are always late when delivering and always forget items, we tried it one more time and collected It ourselves to avoid this issue but as mentioned the meal went in the bin. Don’t bother try else where...

We came upon this place on a Saturday evening, we ate in the restaurant. The food was amazing we had the buffet choice B for two but shared it with our son. There was plenty of food and it all tasted lovely. It was all piping hot and had a lovely taste. Plenty of choice. The waitresses couldn’t do enough they were polite and helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. We would highly recommend they do take away as well as dine worth a try.

Ordered a set menu for 2 people 16.50 each with a delivery charge, no problem, but when it came no duck, no free prawn crackers, no chips, all for 37.50 very expensive set menu. Food very good but will not be returning.

This is the only time I have gone out of my comfort zone? Usually I stick to one meal and never dare try anything else... i.e. I always have chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce separate, with egg fried rice... until I was tempted by so many different choices... I tried chicken and sweet corn soup, because all Chinese seem to have a selection of soup... it was quite nice. Then I tried seaweed, I was not sure what I was expecting, but it certainly not what I thought it was, it was fantastic, I just couldn’t stop eating it, and getting it all down my top because it kept falling off my fork, ha ha. Then I tried the pineapple fritter, (pineapple in batter in syrup) they were absolutely beautiful... Great for those with a sweet tooth, they do banana fritter too, but I don’t like bananas so I won’t be trying that... Then I tried Supreme Combination, which is a mixed starter, I thought well this way I can try different food. It had, BBQ rib, skewered chicken fillet in satay sauce, mini spring roll, sesame prawn toast, crispy wonton, seaweed and sweet and sour sauce... I loved it, but if I had to say I wouldn’t have again It would be the crispy wontons, I wouldn’t say I didn’t like them just not my taste... it was the BBQ ribs that I just loved they were amazing... So the next time I tried BBQ ribs with golden syrup, oh my lord it was beautiful, I’m definitely addicted to them... I then ventured to the spare ribs with sauce... I nearly got sweet and sour sauce, but no I wanted to try something different... so I picked sweet and chilli, thinking with it being sweet it wouldn’t be too hot... !!! They were hot !!! Well I should say spicy!!! They blew my head off... I couldn’t eat them... but out of everything I have tried I have chosen the right food... I give this Chinese a ten out of ten... it’s been an amazing adventure of the taste buds!!! I’m hoping to venture out and eat in the restaurant and see what it is like there... I’m going now to order something tasty again... x x x

Food was ok but the portion size for £50.00 was absolutely disappointing. I would not recommend having a set menu as you could save money buying individually.

No complaints about the food, waitresses polite and helpful. Not impressed with the scruffy attire of the owners, also tips were blatantly taken off waitress and kept for themselves

***Avoid*** everything is far too salty and so expensive and literally the worst Chinese ive ever had! I binned the lot and ended up having cereal instead!!!

Been for a meal several times and always enjoyed it but tonight had the worst takeaway ever. Got the completely wrong meal and when they replaced it the food was awful really disappointed

Very disappointed,asked if still serving food just after their closing time & accepted us in(6)to eat in only to be served part cooked/frozen food starters then be told Chef going home so no main meals,member of the group phoned the manager,was served chips and 1portion of Sweet & Sour chicken.Payed an agreed bill then left,Not to return.

We recently had a banquet delivered for over 20 people. The food was delivered on time, was more than generous and was cooked perfectly. I will always recommend the new fortune. They are brilliant. 10/10 to the chef.

Actually upsetting to put as 3 usually don't have a problem with orders but lately they been the wrong thing that's been ordered then when call to rectify the problem u get argued with hung up on numerous times to the point where they think it's acceptable to just cut people off while talking say bye and click phone down poor customer service. .... hopefully will go back to how used to be few month ago

Decent takeaway and staff are really friendly, especially Phillipa. I have never eaten in here but the food is good when we get takeaway so can't imagine it being bad. They also deliver!

Went for our sons 18th birthday and the service was excellent and we even got a chopstick lesson. It was perfect food and we highly recommend to sit in and eat.

I booked this restaurant for a surprise meal for my partners 30th. They made us feel very welcome everyone had plenty of room at the table. All the bills came correctly as people were splitting it. The food was fabulous and more than enough for everyone. Defiantly be returning

Ordered last night food came in 15 mins COLD is an understatement, vegetable spring rolls tasted vile like they had used stale veg, beef chow main was ineadable. Will not be ordering again...... prices have gone up massively

Prices have gone by 15% the place is empty and the meals don't taste as nice. Would not recommend any more.

Food quality has gone down, service has slipped. Been going years, but we will probably find somewhere else to eat. Not good value anymore. The spare ribs are a joke, exorbitant price and no meat. Did not get what we ordered in two occasions. When pointed out to waitress, request to correct ignored. Take my advice, this place is no longer good.

We've had takeaway from here a few times and it's always been good. Thought we'd try and eat in tonight for a change. They do an all you can eat menu on Sunday-Thursday. We enjoyed all of it. Staff were very friendly and my 3 year old announced the BBQ spare ribs were delicious 😊

Very disappointed. Did stop using after bad experience a couple of years ago. Told that they had improved so tried again. We ordered tonight and collected 3 miles away. When my husband arrive he verbally checked order. And was told all was there. When he arrived home only 1 soup. I telephoned and told we could collect 2 more no apology!! Husband went and collected still no apology!!! Very disappointed 'Sorry about mistake costs nothing' but helps goodwill.

Just ordered food to be delivered and asked to pay by bank card, was told can you not get cash and said no. Very rude woman said ok will phone you back in 20 minutes and when she does she is very very rude, have never been spoken to like this before when ordering food if they want customers to order from them again then I suggest she changes her attitude or get someone to answer the phone who doesn't make you feel that you they are put out by taking payment details when they clearly state you can pay by card.

Ordered a takeaway, 2 chicken curry with rice, curry was full of onion very little chicken, spare ribs there was nothing on on them just bone with what looked like breadcrumbs on, chicken & chips, chips were hard & dry the chicken it looked & tasted like it had been fried a number of times, it was very dry & very hard. We've had a number of takeaways from here but this really was disgusting. I did phone to say how disappointed we were only to be told she would have a word with him in the kitchen. I think we will give it a miss in future!!😣😣😣😣

Wow WoW. Just tried this takeaway as we are new to the area. Read some of the reviews and thought we would give it ago. Was not looking forward to the food at all but being from Chinese heritage myself I was pleasantly surprised this is the best takeaway in the area from Kirkham Freckleton and Wesham. Some of the reviews said the food was greasy and tasteless well we ordered chicken sweet and sour with boiled rice. King Prawn Foo Young with chips. The prawns were very fresh and juicy not rubbery and the sweet and sour just to die for. Well worth the money.

Absolute rubbish, will not use ever again. Noodles dripping in grease, one order wrong and one order full of unchewable fat and to make matters worse it turned up 45 minutes late

I went to the new good fortune house last night, I got 3 different take a ways, when I got home we shared them, they all tasted the same, they were bland, I will never get anything from there again, they say under new management, when I went last night it was the same people, staff very nice but I wanted nice food not nice chit chat.
