What a wonderful find, having just walked from Polperro and feeling very much in need of refreshment. The queue reflected the popularity of the cafe, and the wait was worth it. We feasted on delicious home-made pasty, soup and a sandwich. Even our dog got in on the act with a yummy doggy ice cream. What impressed us most was the fully recyclable containers and cutlery that were used, without compromising on hygiene or protection from any greedy seagulls who might have given it a go, but seemed to know it wasn’t worth it. No waste, and plenty of taste. Thank you.

I have visited many times as a holidaymaker AND a local resident and the food and service is second to none.My personal favourite is a bacon bap...packed with bacon, real butter, dash of white pepper.mmmm...They even left the tea bag in for me as I like it strong. They just provided 3 days of free music over the Looe Weekender,a marquee and Gazebos for the comfort of the customers.Great food, face painting for the kids and a banging chilli. Tea,coffee, cold drinks,Ice creams ( all year round!) Hot and cold food and a great view of Looe Island. Service and prices are second to none...no old eyewash about preferential treatment for locals, all are welcome.Always busy up there as it is very popular and open all day without fail 364 days a year. In the world of good, reasonably priced take away food in Looe...long may it reign.

We visited the Hannafore kiosk yesterday as 2 families, we ordered several items, one of which was a ham and cheese baguette which my autistic daughter wanted - we took it down to the beach to eat only for her to complaint that it tasted funny, so I tried it and it tasted strongly of fish and there was also red onion in it. This obviously meant they’d clearly used the same prep area for meat and fish. Having owned a restaurant before I know how this breaches food safety rules. Incidentally my daughter had an upset tummy yesterday evening as well to add insult to injury having only had toast for breakfast and we live locally. No symptoms prior to the baguette so it couldn’t have been anything else as we are locals and didn’t eat anywhere else and she’s 18 and does open uni at home with no symptoms prior to the baguette. She ate about a third of it because she was hungry but kept saying it tasted disgusting so I asked if she wanted anything else and she said no but we decided to let them know in case they had a new member of staff and they weren’t trained in food safety in case someone in the future could be allergic to fish which thankfully my daughter isn’t. My husband spoke to the owner Gina who became very defensive and rude. My husband is a mild mannered gentle middle aged man and she didn’t even hear my husband out before biting his head off saying “I’m sorry there was a little bit of onion in your roll” (without acknowledging the fish at all) very sarcastically and just made him another roll. The silly thing is we didn’t even want another roll or even our money back as I like supporting local businesses and my daughter wasn’t hungry after that as it completely put her off. We were only telling them in case one of the staff didn’t know about cross contamination of fish and meat as lots of people have severe allergies and there could have been a serious incident but she didn’t even have the manners or decency to hear him out. The appalling way she responded to my husband was completely unprofessional and unnecessary, he’s also autistic and didn’t know how to respond so he just took the new roll and left very upset without saying anything else. We live locally and had brought close family friends down telling them what a great place it was and that they do music and theme days but I will never return to eat there again after this. Not because of the food mix up but because of how rude and sarcastic she was. We didn’t even get a proper apology other than the sarcastic one as when I went to talk to Jocelyn after my husband returned upset she wouldn’t even acknowledge it merely saying Gina had left, and also didn’t apologise even after I explained this was a potential health risk and an unacceptable way to speak to customers. A nicer lady with short dark hair that I didn’t recognise then stepped in asking me for my number saying that Gina the owner would call, needless to say she hasn’t. After reading the replies to the other complaints on Google (not Tripadvisor) I can understand why. She mentions to another customer about going up to talk to her but if our experience is anything to go by her rude response isn’t worth the upset it’ll cause as she clearly won’t accept any constructive advice and her sarcastic responses are prohibitive to conversation. And she is incredibly rude in her responses to others who dare to complain. We didn’t want a new roll nor did we want money back. We just wanted to let her know about the cross contamination but the way she responded was appalling and I can see by the responses to other people’s reviews on Google how aggressive she is to them too. She’ll always have business from the tourists but if this is how she treats locals word will soon get round and eventually she’s going to end up being sued by someone if they don’t follow food hygiene rules and someone has a full on anaphylactic reaction because of their sloppiness. I hope they take note and ensure all their staff are trained for the future and they ensure they use in date food as I can’t explain why else my daughter would have a funny tummy especially as the roll tasted fishy and horrible. 3 years ago on goggle someone complained that a girl who made him an ice cream took cash and didn’t wash hands in between, we all know cash harbours a vast amount of bacteria so why aren’t they wearing disposable gloves for hygiene? Not impressed at all, your customers deserve better, we didn’t want anything else and were only letting you know so you could ensure everyone was food prepping safely and you responded so rudely as seems to be your norm given the awful responses in Google. Mistakes happen in every business so we wanted to let you know so you had the opportunity to ensure it wouldn’t happen again, we didn’t want anything else and didn’t ask for a refund, but we were met with rudeness and sarcasm, we certainly won’t be recommending especially after the stomach upset and aggressiveness on top.

We stopped here after a walk on the beach having read the glowing reviews in TA. First thoughts were that they’re doing something right as there was a long queue. Despite this, service was relatively quick and the staff work like trojans to keep customers fed and watered. There is a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, hot meals and cakes that should cover all tastes. Our cakes were delicious, the downside was that the cappuccino was average, basically a milky coffee with a smidge of froth on top. Would I return? Definitely when in the area

Just had to write a review after being bowled over by their lunch bowls! My daughter had a nacho bowl, full of chilli, nachos, cheese, salsa and fresh avocado. She loved it. I went for the Texas BBQ bowl; a base of skin-on wedges, topped with a very very generous heap of the tastiest and most tender pulled pork, a load of fresh peppery coleslaw, a pile of mozzarella cheese and salsa. It's the tastiest dish I've eaten in a very long time! Packed with flavour, put together beautifully (save some wedges to mop up the tasty juice at the end) and a joyfully serendipitous discovery. Was everything great? Food, yes! Coffee, hmmm a touch thin, but I'm finding that around a here. Seriously, try these bowls!

Stopped off here on our way home after a week in Looe and not having been 'round the corner' to Hannafore. The kiosk is great - outdoor seating only but a brilliant view over to Looe Island. We just had coffees and shared an excellent apple danish pastry - what a treat. The ladies are friendly. They were doing a good trade, great place to stop on a dog walk, or if it's a bit damp you can sit in your car or get something to take away. Highly recommend!

We visit hannafore regularly and cannot fault the kiosk. I have found them to serve the best pasty I’ve had for a long time, full of flavour and packed with meat. Our children always love an ice cream and we appreciate the smaller toddler size option especially when buying for four kids! Also lots of flavours to try. The menu is always so inviting with lots to try. Service always fab and quick. Lots of tables but these do get busy, of course because it’s such a great place to enjoy the views! I’m sure we’ll continue to visit many more times.

Food was very reasonably priced and our order was a lot less than it would have cost elsewhere. The cakes were lush and the savoury scones were divine. Love the fact the kids hot chocolate was priced according really refreshing to see a business not ripping off kids! For all the above reasons we would DEFINATELY support his business again. Loved it!

Free road side parking adjacent to kiosk. Fabulous comprehensive menu from traditional pasties, crab sandwiches, cream teas, ice creams, cakes to more modern Mediterranean options based on wraps and salads. Incredible level of produce from such a small kitchen. Very busy at peak times but worth the wait. Ideal location for a long walk along the concrete promenade below. Free parking is a massive bonus compared to other rip off locations. A calm area looking out onto St. George’s Island and the Atlantic beyond. We are so privileged to have the kiosk so near our home. It is far more than an ice cream kiosk - although the ice creams are the best in the area as well anyway. Proper, local hot pasties, superb chicken and root vegetable hot soup, big selection of paninis, sandwiches, BLT, cakes and flapjack and much much more that we choose from frequently. So pleased that it is now open all year round and even today when it was unusally wet and very stormy weather all day long. Looking forward to the special pork rolls with apple sauce again over Christmas like we had there last year. A very highly recommended place for all whether you sit there on the chairs and tables provided or just stroll along the front and sit on the seats there or just eat in your car admiring the best view in Cornwall.

Wright's Ice cream kiosk in the centre of Polperro village may not be a posh parlour but the ice cream is very authentic. We spent a gorgeous day wandering along the seafront and what better way to end the day than enjoying a sandwich and a drink and this lovely kiosk/ cafe. The food was great and the view absolutely fantastic. One of the nicest places along this part of the coast.

Good selection of local ice cream, which you can enjoy whilst taking in the views. The staff are friendly, as are most locals.

We only stopped for a quick sandwich but it was a hell of a good one! The view over the rocks and out onto Looe Island was stunning and the misty weather made it look otherworldly. We grabbed a cheeky ice cream (which was also delicious) and headed onto the beach to explore! A must visit for quick snacks and yummy ice creams!

The Ice cream was superb and the staff chatty and friendly. The kiosk was clean and well looked after. We would definitely go back for more as it is ideally positioned for our holiday rental.

We called in for take away ice creams when our friends were visiting, so tried 4 different flavours and everyone said theirs was excellent. I had the stem ginger and crave more, so will definitely call in again next time we pass.

Lovely little cafe, pleasant lady owner. Nice hot coffee, but the cones are to die for. have one with clotted cream and a flake mmmmm. Just so fattening or i would have one every day

This ice cream counter/take away coffee shop is pretty much opposite the tennis club in East Looe. I cannot remmber the exact brand, but the ice creams were 'local local' (ie not Kelly's) and all the better for it. I had the stem ginger and it was excellent. The prices were fairly standard, I think around £1.80 for a medium. Recommended.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
