Hank's Burger in Lewisham

We waited 40 minutes for simple burger and fries, hardly an apology from the staff. And there was only a small handful of customers, absolutely no reason to take that long. Only waited for it to come as we were starving. Food itself was ok, definitely not worth the price or the wait. No music, no ambiance, uncomfortable seating. We ran out the moment we took our last bite rather than stay another second there.

This place misses the mark by a country mile. Dinner for 2, including 2 taco dishes, 1 chicken wings and 2 drinks, £34. The Tacos were so small, I would call them canapes, literally 1 prawn in each, and about the circumference of a coffee mug. Chicken wings were also tiny. We literally got up after eating here and went straight to another restaurant for some actual dinner.... very disappointing. For me, street food is about comforting portions at good prices, and great tastes. This place misses on all of the above.

When in or around Deptford in South East London do not miss the opportunity to test out this gorgeous little gem! Fantastic burgers, sourced from top quality beef (these guys focus on quality products!) atmosphere and service not to be missed!!! Find it next to Deptford railway station, under the arches in deptford market yard....

Ordered two types of wings and cheeseburger tacos and haloumi fries. Wings were quite tasteless (9 quid for 10 tiny wings was way too much), cheeseburger tacos were nice but tiny (5 quid for 2 canapés), haloumi fries way too dry. Nice staff though, friendly, but 3 out of 5 is fair.

The team at Hanks are always really friendly when you visit. On top of that they make great burgers. Definitely try the fish burger!

Right next to the station, if you are looking for a tasty burger, this is the place to go. They have a modest, small selection but they are always made to perfection. They have a small indoor area and a couple of tables in front of the arch so the place is more likely designed for food on the go but the taste of the burger is what really counts.Since our first time in July we have been back here on a few occasion and will definitely come back again. I find it difficult to find good burgers in London and this small gem is definitely one of the places I can recommend if you are after value for money kind of tasty burgers. The drink selection is not for us but afterall, it`s all about the burgers.

Another hidden Gem in Deptford and worth a visit wherever you are. The Burgers at Hanks is probably one of the best you will taste - juicy, tasty and succulent. The menu is simple and uncomplicated with a a choice of traditional beef patties, chicken, fish and vegan with fries. Service and staff are great, enjoyed our visit here and will back again soon.

This is a great spot for burgers in Deptford market yard which has a few restaurants, bars, and a Saturday food market. In summer it's nice to sit outside. We had the Big Cheese burger each, with cajan fries to share. For my taste, the fries were extremely salty - too much so, but the burger was nice with a nice Brioche bun. Lovely beer options too! Fairly priced and worth visiting if in the area.

The best burgers in deptford, juicy and cooked to perfection and the chips are to die for. My partner likes the fish burgers, she says they are sublime. Be careful to check when you ask for something in the burger to be removed, I've been here many times and I don't like cheese and they have forgotten every time so I have had to send it back,although they were very polite and apologetic.
