Hamptons, everyones favourite chippy in Evesham in Wychavon

One of the best chippy we had. Very tasty, the chips aren’t saggy at all, the fish is well cooked but doesn’t fall apart and It's crispy. Served to take away in a nice box, which makes a big difference as none of the food sticks to old-fashioned paper wrapping. Bargain regarding the price. Parking is very spacious in front of the entry. We are not local but wish we were.. Highly recommend it. Thank you xx

Under new ownership, the food is tasty, portions smaller especially meat comparing to what it used to be, customer service is neutral almost all of them are young lads I don't care they don't need to smile at me, good atmosphere overall.

EDIT: revised review due to new ownership. Ordered on Deliveroo, the usual order of chips, mushy peas etc. The app did not say the chips were BATTERED! They may be nice for people who can eat batter, but I can't. Mushy peas were nice but I couldn't eat the chips and had to cook my own at home instead. I don't think even if I could eat batter that I would want to eat so much of it. So just letting those of you who are intolerant to gluten know that you cannot eat the chips, they are made with wheat. The gluten free night was brilliant last time and it was just as good tonight. Honestly the curry sauce is fantastic, the best I've ever tasted. The batter is lovely, it's light and tasty and my non GF husband loves it too. Can't wait for another GF night ☺️

Chips were mainly crisps, the fish was non existent in the batter and the kids sausage and chips were cold . Wasn’t aware of the new ownership, won’t be going again.

Delicious chips- you have to try them to believe them. Fish lovely and fresh. Donna meat and sausage tasty too. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be going back!

I have never ever seen chips that look like this. You substitute battered chips as chicken nuggets and forgot the fish ??? What is going on ???

The food is absolutely killer and the new battered chips are golden, crispy and dance on the tongue. The atmosphere was also friendly so I will definitely be coming back

Today we had lovely golden brown, crispy chips. None of those horrible soggy anemic chips usually served in a chip shop. Well done Hampton chippy, we will be back. Kebab was good too 😆

Didn’t even get a chance to experience this chip shop, after googling Gluten Free fish and chips and Hampton coming out at the top my husband phoned and was met with a rude and disinterested response and told they don’t do gluten free chips. What a shame…. So we shall take our custom elsewhere! As if it’s not hard enough being coeliac.

There was a young boy and a girl both blonde who was serving me and they spat in my food and proceeded to tell me my mom looks like a spanner. I then told these youngsters there language was not appropriate but they still proceeded to give me the middle finger and swear aggressively towards me. Fair play to the blonde woman though as she did have a nice pair of jugs!

Easy to order ahead. Ready when arrived. Unwrapped when home (5) mins the batter was all soggy and stuck to the paper, tried to revive in the airfryer but as not enough batter left on the fish was a waste of time. The fish was lovely so not all negative.

Terrible quality fish. In my opinion defrosted quickly as it was just mush. Batter too thick so it hadn't cooked through, nor got crispy. They must spend a fortune on cooking oil as most of it was in the takeaway box oozing from the fish. Chips undercooked by a considerable amount. Curry sauce looked like old radiator water.

Awful, had a small order for 4 people and forgot our chicken nuggets and had to go back, chips were raw in the middle and all mush

Very poor, the chips tasted like they were boiled in fat, really awful after taste and after the first bite of sausage that went in the bin as a piece of bone was found,. Not the best, wouldn't recommend

Looking for somewhere to stop along the A46 as a freak hail storm hit a few weeks back. Not the best chippy I've ever had. (Better chips by the coast) but isn't far out of the way to get some food.

Portion sizes and ridiculously small for the price and on this occasion the food was very over cooked

17£ for a chicken kebab &chips .chips dry & shrivelled up and the was more tomato’s on it than the was chicken what a waste of money 😡

Lovely chips and the fish was gorgeous however a lot smaller portions than other places in Evesham, £12.50 for a "large" cod and chips came with less chips others do in their small, not a huge fish either but as I say, tasted lovely so 3 stars from me.

Chips was disgusting, looked like left overs from lunch time and re-cooked. I would have returned them, if i lived closer

I can honestly say this was the worst MINI fish and chip meal I've ever had and it cost £8.50! The chips were so hard and tough you couldn't stick a fork in them. They had obviously been warmed up from lunch time, the peas were cold and the fish wasn't nice either. I have heard such fantastic reviews so disappointed doesn't come close

For long time it was my best takeaway place ,but last 5 week in row serv uncooked donner ,look like thay don't care anymore about food just focused on number of selling

Fish is really lovely but chips are a variable, sometimes good others not so much. Hoping it's just the current situation and things will become back on the high standard, we've been told to expect from Hampton Chippy. Lovely food I would recommend to anyone who wants a juicey piece of fish.

Very disappointed, chips were horrible the batter on the fish was hard. My husband had a kabab which was overcooked. I have felt sick all night since eating it. Most of it ended up being thrown away. Although impressed with the covid measures that had been put in place.

Was pleasantly surprised by their well thought out, contactless service. Order and payment was made through the door and our food and drink was given through a hinged hatch. Food was great as usual. Will definitely be coming here again.

Well am staying and working in the area and this place has just reopened after lockdown so as I don't know my way around I've given it ago . 1st I was really impressed with the way there doing it though the door ' the staff were friendly and polite and my tea of battered sausage and chips was excellent. Will definitely be going back again most of the week. 😀

Down from Wales visiting family... Fancied a chip supper and as we have been disappointed by other chip shops and kebab shops in area thought we would give Hampton Chippy a try... So glad we did.. I couldn't finish the kebab as so big... Fish was excellent crispy batter and large flakes of cod... To many chips and the dogs loved the sausage... Excellent service great prices 10 out of 10 definitely recommend and will use again when in area

Best fish & chips in town, lovely crisp batter, beautiful flavoured cod and good sized portions for those with a healthy appetite. There's usually a queue on Fridays/Saturdays as they're very popular so allow time but we'll worth the wait. I did almost knock a star off though as when I got home on Friday I only had 1 portion of chips instead of 2 but that's unusual and they were exceptionally busy so that would've been mean! Keep up the good work guys/girls, you've got it right

I heard alot of reviews on hampton chippy, so my husband and i tried it out, was not disappointed. Great portions with great prices. Curry sauce was bloody lovely.

Came here after evesham fishing festival! Great chippy highly recommended Had a deep fried battered spud! Somewhat of a novelty for us Wiltshire folk! hahaha it did have a name but i forget it!
