Hamilton's in Southend-on-Sea

Lovely family run ice cream parlour. Was lovely to have a chat with the owner who was so friendly and knowledgeable. Also was lovely meeting their lovely dog. Doughnuts, to die for!

My son and I popped by whilst on a walk along the seafront. We have passed here many times but have never been in. We had 2 waffle cone ice creams. Both had 2 scoops, 1 chocolate and 1 cherry, both came with a flake. Reasonably priced. My son couldn’t finish his ice cream. Next time I will get him a small tub or a small cone. They do smaller cones but my sons eyes were bigger than his belly .. We sat at the outside table area in the fresh air. Inside Hamilton’s it is very clean and tidy along with very friendly staff. Ladies also popped out to wipe and clean down tables, even tho no one had sat at them whilst we had been there. I thought that was a good idea, due to traffic dust and sand. We will 100 % visit again, to try other flavours of ice cream, so many delicious flavours to enjoy.

We have stopped at Hamiltons multiple times over the months since discovering this gem. The ice cream is excellent and they offer some fantastic and well prepared donuts. Donuts are lovely. My like girl loves her chocolate ice cream and eats it all up. They many other favours to offer many different options. Well recommended on a day out

Gelato accettabile, soprattutto il caramello salato, che di salato ha poco o nulla. Ma quello che mi preme sottolineare è la maleducazione con cui siamo stati trattati. La banconista ha sbattuto 2 volte il gelato sul bancone e poi parlava a bassa voce mentre ci serviva.

Firstly, there's a lot of ice cream parlours in Southend, but non had the variety of Hamilton's! 24 flavours made it difficult to choose, but we managed it! 1 scoop is £1.70, so great value! I had the toffee flavour and my wife had the white chocolate, both were good choices!

There are plenty of different choices at Hamilton's and it's nice to have something different than Rossi scoop ice cream! The parlour was easy to miss, but they've just refurbed with a new front. It stands out a lot more than it used to. Would recommend to anyone who wants great value ice cream.

My husband had seen that these ice-creams were recommended so we set off along the seafront to look for this place. We completely missed it! You need to look out for the Happidrome Arcade and nestled under the awning is this tiny shop. Was it worth it? Yes it was lovely. Salted Caramel, Candyfloss, Raspberry Pavlova, Cookies and Cream and a coffee. Ice-cream was lovely and coffee pronounced really good by said husband (and he is a bit of a connoisseur!)

Delicious Ice Creams, Friendly Staff, Classic Rossi's and fantastic atmosphere! A must visit in Southend On Sea.
