The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are also very helpful as well. Hallam Restaurant is on the carpark at Sandwell Hospital. It is always clean and tidy.

Within walking distance from where me and my fiance live. It's also on the 16a bus route. You get off the 16A bus on Hallam Street and just walk to the hospital carpark where you will find the restaurant.

I dropped in here after a hospital visit in the summer, and have kept coming back(!) There's a selection of meals, different each day at lunchtime, and a limited selection of dinners (starting at the oddly early time of 4:30). The portion sizes are often LARGE, with food struggling to stay on the plate. And it's cheap; like, really cheap. In several dozen meals here, I've only paid more than a fiver, once. The staff are loud but efficient and friendly. A pity about the annoying large TV screens which blast out brain-dead daytime TV, whether you want it or not. But it's the food that matters, and the value here is top.

Pros: - Great breakfast selection (5 items for £2.80 or £2.50 for staff). - Fresh salad bar for lunch. - Made to order sandwich and baguette bar for lunch ("Crumbles sandwich bar"). - A range of hot and cold dishes to eat in or take-away. - Themed days. I happened to go when it was a Caribbean the day; the curried goat with rice and peas were really tasty! - Takes cash or card. Cons: - Can't really fault this place.

This community pub is the perfect place for a nice family meal or to go for a few drinks with your friends! Over the past 12 months there have been so many changes .. all for the best! The kids area has made such a difference to the local children in the community and has brought so many new families to The Gospel Oak. It is so blatantly obvious how much love and attention has gone into the place since new management took over and even food standards have increased! Personally the steak deal is such good value for money.. steak meal and a drink for £10?! Honestly cannot fault this place.. staff are so friendly and attentive. 100% recommend!!

Had to throw most of the order away, one pizza was so saturated with salt it made two of us eating it, throw up! Wish we’d not bothered, clearly something went wrong with the order when it was being prepared, and we suffered as a result. First time anything like this has ever happened with Valentinos - most disappointed
