The food was fabulous and the staff was great but we went early so not many people in but definitely going again

I come here regularly with my husband and 3 children. Service from the girls is always 5*’s! Today’s meal was lovely, food is priced great and super yummy! (I recommend having starter nachos as they’re cooked fresh and made with proper tortillas which is bonus!) Lisha, Nina and Heather served us today, absolutely lovely ladies, thank you to all the staff for everything you do to provide us with an amazing place to have a meal!

Well what can I say, met up with brother and his wife, I had a breakfast I had to go and get my classes to see if anything was on the plate very poor, 1 sausage hard and cold, bacon under cocked and tuff, B Beans tastless and cold, egg good and hash browns ok, I have seen a kiddies meal with more on a plate, very very poor. brother and wife were not happy ether, beef you could not even cut it with a stake knife.

Popped in on Friday for a bogof burger deal. Burgers arrived quickly and were spot on,as was the service from lisa, charlie, Heather and leah. All the Christmas decs are up and looking very festive. We will definitely be returning soon. Great work everyon!

The steak was not very well cooked and chewy. The chicken was hard and the crumble was very hot with warm custard and frozen berries.....

I have visited here when staying in Norfolk, staff gave a fantastic service and food was lovely and hot. Would definitely visit again on my next visit.

Went to the half moon pub with friends today we was served by Charlie she was welcoming and had a smile, we will be back again soon

We were impressed with the Half Moon last night. It was quiet Thursday evening so there was a chilled atmosphere. We ordered 2 starters - corn and garlic mushrooms and 2 specials - jerk chicken and lamb kofta plus fish fingers and veg for our 2 yr old. We were served by Leah, who was super friendly and efficient. Deals are on on weekdays and today was starter or dessert for £1 with a special main meal which is great value for money. The specials were huge and everything was tasty. Even our 2 yr old wolfed down most of her meal! We didn't have room for dessert but we've had the candy mania dessert before and enjoyed sharing it between us because it's massive! We had a great night!

Had a lovely meal here with my sister-in-law and her two kids, it's a great place to grab a cheap bite to eat with kids. Heather, our waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Booked a table for 19 of us for my mums birthday. Everything was perfect from bar staff, ordering our food to speed of service and the quality of food was perfect. All staff very helpful and friendly especially Heather who served us. Thabks very much for great experience.

Second time here. Nice food. Drinks taste good too. Only thing is both times the tables were sticky.

Simply great service from the ladies

This was the first time I have visited the half moon and I have to say overall it was a disappointing experience. The wait for the food was about an hour and when it came the burger was like cardboard. The sauce had congealed and was cold. The toilets need to be destroyed and rebuilt as they were beyond hope. I won't be coming back for food.

Great Monday to Friday 241 deal. Pie is excellent. Needs a revamp though.

This is a Hungry Horse chain pub. I did however, have a pleasant meal here. Me and a mate were here for Cobra Warrior 2024. We were staying locally and the host recommended the Half Moon. My mate was paying and we selected two meals off the £6 menu. With drinks added it came to just under £20. Considering the price of the food, it was surprisingly good. I had fish, chips and beans and really enjoyed it. Fish was very nice too. The chips were a bit of a weak link. A mix of fries and thick chunky ones, they could have been warmer and a bit fresher. Apart from that, all was well. Value food that was good value.

This is the WORST restaurant/pub I have ever been to. Awful service, it took 20 mins for our drinks to come out and 30 mins later only one of our meals arrived leaving other people without their food for another 20 mins. When confronted about the missing meals the staff tried to say we only ordered one main. After a long winded debate over the order, they finally brought out the other mains. Barely apologetic and very unprofessional staff, blaming each other for the mistake. Of all the places I’ve eaten this is by a mile the worst. unless you want to wait 20 mins for a half Pint of coke avoid this place.

The food was OK ish But it was a hot day and we was told they only had one parasol for eating outside

Never go again said they let dogs in put us in the games room felt like a second class person there was smoking out side door was open you smelt the smoke waited about 1 hour for food never again

Charlie is one of a kind, she made our afternoon. Food good but always served better with a smile. Well done Charlie.

Food took over an hour to come out and it was not worth the cost... so so.... not worth the wait.

Good cheap pub grub. Steak a little over cooked in the mixed grill. If it was just a steak meal id of sent it back but other than that all okay. Chicken can be hit and miss at times if its dry or not. Great service and people with friends, family or eve out

There have been issues over the last few years which caused me to drop my rating at one point to 2 stars. A fair amount of it was due to the pandemic, a high level of staff and even management turnover, as well as some awful supply chain issues. They clawed their way back up to 4 stars by the start of 2024 by putting in a lot of effort, both in the kitchen and front of house. Update April 2024: New management and running smoother. New, competent staff are being trained and management is supportive. Back up to 5 stars.

We have been to the Half Moon in Mildenhall 4 times now for food & drink, and the staff are always pleasant, food is excellant and reasonably priced. 10 out of 10 & 5 Stars!! A nice place to bring friends.

Loved this place when we used to come here years ago on the way home from France, we stayed at the CC site at the end of the road and visited every year without fail. Unfortunately we made an effort to return and were extremely disappointed. It's a shadow of what it was and looks grubby and unkempt. The last 9 years haven't been kind.

Really enjoyed the Full Monty The kids' food was plain (mash potatoes were dry and tasted like they were instant. ) They ordered chocolate and strawberry milk, which came boxed. The chips were excellent! Was a bit confusing coming in for the first time, as we didn't know to say ourselves... and the waitress took a minute to even acknowledge us. When she finally did, she told us we could order by using the app, or some to the counter and place or order. Overall, it was well priced, we were happy with our meal, but the service could have been better... additionally, coming in on Monday, where it is advertised that kids eat for £1, it would have been nice if the waitress told us that's only when ordering specific food from the regular menu. 3 kids meals and one adult entree with a pitcher of lemonade ran us £40. Not bad.

Got recommended this place by my daughter. Beautiful little town and fantastic hospitality including waitresses Alicia Kelly and Charlie. Couldn’t have hoped for better service drinks poured fresh with smile. Food came out nice and perfectly presented . Steak was cooked beautifully. Would definitely recommend

Popped in the half moon before work. The lovely waitress Charlie welcomed me with me a with a smile and served me with no time to waste. The food was plentiful and delightful. I left a tip and got wished a farewell journey to work. Much better visit than last time.

Had a very nice meal at the Half Moon tonight. The service was excellent and food came out quickly. Huge improvement and a big shout out to the girls who were working tonight.

Come 2 weeks ago food was lovely come today absloute discusting corn was terrible had to change it sweet potatos had to bring fresh ones thought this place had changed won't be coming back such a shame..

Terrible, so disappointed ☹️. Party of four all ordered burgers. Waited at least 40 minutes, when food finally arrived everything, apart from fries,was so overcooked/burnt. (Even burger buns were burnt) We were not asked during meal if all was ok , or when plates were collected. Guess they knew by the amount we had to leave that it wasn't good. Other people only received half their order, another couple waited so long they had to take their dinner with them because they had to go back to work. In total only about10 diners there. If the chef spent more time in the kitchen rather than chatting at the bar things might have been better.

Alisha who served us was very nice, friendly and helpful. The gammon was not very hot that's why I gave 2 4s. I didn't want to send it back because we stopped there on the way home and we still had a 2hr drive. I will go there again I will just ask the waitress to make sure that the food is hot for me.

Think it's just got new managers, and it's so much better, went there with the wife and kids and it was a great atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.👍👍. Thanks and see you again soon.

*update* owner said 4 weeks ago to contact them and still no response! If I could give 0 I would. We ordered a breakfast and wrap. This took 45 minutes even though the restaurant was empty. When we asked how much longer it would be, the one waitress serving was rude and replied ‘very soon’. I felt sorry for her as she seemed to be the only one serving. When the food did arrive, they got one order wrong and didnt offer to rectify this once we mentioned it. I’m not sure what seasoning is on the chips either but it wasn’t salt and pepper. It was so awful we had to ask for a refund, which was given rudely with no apology. What a waste of an hour! For my first experience here, it will definitely be the last. I do not recommend.

We love going to Half Moon. It's got tons of menu options, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. Plus, parking is easy, which is always a bonus! Not too far from the house, and very casual and welcoming.

Good food very helpful staff, dog friendly, even ask if you would like water for the dog 🐕. Good pint of beer ipa so my hubby says. We are on holiday and have been in numerous times, even the locals are friendly. And I must also say the toilets were very clean. Thanks to all the staff see you next year.

Good old-fashioned service with a smile where nothing was too much trouble. I asked if the Football could be shown on the TV whilst I was having dinner & the lovely girl at the bar came out & sorted it for me without any fuss. Then the dinner itself well what can I say...absolutely delicious along with the dessert which was amazing. Superb experience, I would highly recommend this Pub to anyone!
