I didn't had a reservation and decided to dine in there on the spot. Thought they would refuse but didn't. Took few mins and managed to get a seat for me. Ordered their special fried rice and crispy curd dessert. The food was way too good especially the dessert. Loved it

We loved it! Great staff and management: really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is lovely, the food is great and the robot from Rocky IV is awesome! Highly recommended.

If I could give no stars I would! Should of been delivered at 5pm despite nermous phone calls arrived 45mins late everything was cold, the chips had sweated so much in the bag it fell to bits trying to get it out, the egg fried rice was so greasy it as uneatable both main dishes stone cold we asked for no onions as im allegric to them...however they put them in after asking not to be cooked within the dish. People on the phone didn't have a clue nor could they get hold of their driver, he basically stood there and laughed and didn't have a clue either!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS TAKEAWAY. TERRIABLE SERVICE AND FOOD Update: it's just made my wife violently sick!

Very good Chinese restaurant, lots of Chinese families eating here too, great service, great food and not over pricey either. Open from lunchtime onwards.

Really delicious. Friendly staff and delicious food. None of that sugary gloopey sauce so many English places do. This tasted fresh and wholesome. Really recommended

Having lived in China, we found this restaurant authentic, even if not the most "high class". The Hot pot was very good and the service was very helpful, quick and friendly. Would recommend it to any one wanting traditional chinese cuisine.

We had hotpot here today with a pork broth base and a spicy hotpot base. It was delicious! This was our second time visiting the restaurant, and we even came to York specifically to enjoy this hotpot again. Honestly, it's one of the best hotpot experiences in the UK, where you can truly taste authentic Asian flavors. The wide variety of options makes me feel like I'm eating back in my home country.

The establishment provided an excellent experience, with courteous and hospitable staff. The only reason for the four-star rating in the atmosphere category is that our visit occurred during the transition period between lunch and dinner service. Fully recommend.

I passed by with my mother to eat, traveling thousands of miles from Hunan, and it will definitely satisfy the Chinese stomach. Had lunch here a few days ago, very tasty and great environment. They serve the dishes with a robot which is quite cute.

Dinner was amazing. Buffet was generous. Staff incredibly accommodating and happy to offer suggestions and advice for a novel way of eating.

Good food at a very reasonable price. A large variety of choices. There are a couple items of in stock but it doesn't matter. Come with an empty stomach and finish roughly 10 dishes. Very friendly waitresses are helping here. I wonder why is not busy here. Fresh minced prawns and vegetables. Btw the music is a bit too loud 😳😂.

Tried the stirfried seafood udon with black pepper sauce and I cannot have enough of it. Very tasty, thanks to the friendly staffs, Leah and the manager. Wonderful seevice as always and I like the hot plate that kept my food hot throughout the meal time!

The grilled fish is the freshest I have ever eaten in the UK. It tastes delicious and has a large portion. The service staff is very friendly. Highly recommend to everyone to eat Looking forward to dining again next time😋

Lovely little chinese, as with other comments don't be put off by the outside. Went on a Monday so very quite. Food was quick, but nice.

Quick and communicative service, cozy atmosphere, great choice of food and dipping sauces. Staff said that they were fully booked out for the hotpot, but turns out they weren’t fully booked at all later in the evening. Felt misleading but was still a satisfying dine in experience.

We usually go to this place for hot pot and was surprised as we walked in as it has been renovate it looks lovely all the staff were very friendly and greeted you at the door. the food was great it’s great value for your money all fresh our at the table we had a Lovley time the staff went the extra mile to make it easier for my child to eat and drink so I’m grateful we will definitely be back again Only complaint was the cordial for my child’s drink was too strong so it was abit sour so just add less cordial

Went in for AYCE hotpot last night and enjoyed a nice meal. Lots of variety and soup bases to choose from. May try their dishes next time.

Fabulous dining experience for lunch... Great value set meal we will visit again. Very friendly and hospitable staff. The robot was an added bonus. Huge hot plate to keep your food hot. 5* soup, seaweed, pork belly, Kung pao chicken, fried rice and salt and pepper ribs all fabulous. Large portions as well. We will definitely be going back.

A very good restaurant, the food tastes very authentic. I ordered the Sichuan hotpot, which tastes like domestic food. The service is also very good. The manager is from Shanxi. He is warm and hospitable. It is very cordial to chat with us in Chinese. Their Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine are both good and cost-effective. The location is right in the city center, not far from the Cathedral and Shambles Street. It is highly recommended!

My grand daughter and I decided on this restaurant on a whim while in York for a few days, without knowing about the great exerience awaiting us. We had the hot pot, chose the stock and the raw ingredients and had a wonderful time. The service was attentive but not overwhelming and I would recommend this to anyone else looking for a differeny

Brilliant food, the all you can eat hotpot buffet is great for people with a bigger appetite. Would definitely recommend that. Easy access and plenty room for push chairs or wheel chairs. And the Maitre De/ head waiter was so good and friendly. We'll definitely eat here again when next in York.

First time here, and had a great time. Waiter was very friendly and helpful and explained everything to us. We chose the Hot Pot menu from a choice of three, Hot Pot and Barbecue, Traditional Chinese, and standard Chinese takeaway style menu. The traditional menu looked very interesting with some unusual dishes on it, and will probably give it a go next time we visit, although some guidance will be needed! The food was excellent, as was the service, can’t rate it highly enough. Recommended.

the atmosphere is really good. 5 star! The service is really good. 5 star! however, the food is... expensive and not really tasty. Maybe I had a high expectation? It is really expensive and the amount of food is only a little bit. Well, in general, it is a good place to hang out. But, i would not give it a 5 star for food quality. I am just making honest and fair comments here.

Before leaving York, I had a buffet hot pot here. The food was great and the service was great. The beef and mutton rolls and freshly cut portions were both generous and tender, and the seafood was also very fresh.

Found this lovely little place after we did a ghost tour in York, before heading back to our hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful, nice relaxed atmosphere and the food was amazing. Best we've had for a while. 100% recommend.

It's very unpalatable. The ingredients are not fresh. The ingredients are very cheap. The tomato pot tastes like tomato sauce. The beef rolls just taste like minced meat. Will the store eat them themselves? The shrimp paste is also scattered. It tastes like gnocchi.

The catering is very delicious and fresh. We can eat all we can. Today is my dad’s birthday. I think it’s great value for money and I will definitely come back next time. I think the hand-cut beef and shrimp sliders here are very delicious. You should try them when you come here!

1. We booked here as the carousel table looks fun as well as the robots as they advised. Turned out there’s NO carousel table at all, and the robots were turned off as a display in the corner. False advertisement to start with. 2. We ordered buffet £30/person, staff didn’t mention there’s £3 sauce charge until we found out on the bill. 3. There’s one dish which was very rubbery and flavourless so me and my friend ended up not eating. In stead of asking us how the food was, the manager rudely picked the leftover out of the pot and ‘educated’ us that because there’s food left in the pot, they would charge it for £5… Two of us ordered 10 dishes and each dish was £4.8, in total it was cheaper than £60 and you dare charge extra for something we didn’t enjoy eating ? Extremely rude, arrogant and stupid manager, plus false advertising, lack of honesty and manners, good luck with the business! ! !

The stir fried dry pot was totally overpriced. Almost £20 for the base which only came with a little bit of chicken and vegetable. The extra was also pricey considering the quantity. It was supposed to be a stir fried dish but turned out to be immersed in chilli oil. Very disappointed.

Deserves a good review as it was simple, authentic, fuss free, speedy service and delicious. Great with kids. We didn't do the hotpot buffet (would if the whole party were adults) and we ordered so many items and for 2 adults and 2 kids we paid £60 with soft drinks, so it's good value.

Went here a while ago with a friend for their birthday, it was our first time trying hot pot and the experience was great! We got around 4 small plates of food, water and glutinous rice cakes and the order roughly came up to £40 for the three of us! Really great experience and well worth looking into :)

There is a barbecue hot pot buffet marked at 29.9. The barbecue is directly prepared meat. The taste is not good. There is a KTV ordering wall in the restaurant, which is quite good.

A store that I don’t want to give even one star to! The store owner is extremely indifferent and treats foreigners and Chinese alike! Waited 40 minutes for a grilled fish! I have been deliberately avoiding your sight. Isn’t it good for me to treat my compatriots like this? Four foreigners with the same seat came later than us and finished their meal and left. We haven’t even been served yet! It’s really awesome! Wish you a prosperous business

I can not rate this highly enough! The hot pot was wonderful, the menu choice good, the food quality excellent, cleanliness fantastic and service absolutely wonderful. We had no idea how the hot pot worked and one member of our party had a low spice tolerance but the staff were really wonderful, explaining clearly and answering all our questions, and we had quite a few. All this would have been enough to warrant this review but then you add robot servers and food on conveyer belts and it just made the experience even better! Honestly, if you are looking for a unique eating experience in York then I can not recommend this place highly enough.
