Fantastic food and dog friendly too 🙂

I have to say this is one of the best finds I have had recently . The food was amazing, we had the halloumi to start and then i had the lamb salad and it was unbelievable. Service from young gentleman fantastic and very helpful. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. Very well priced also keep up the amazing work 👏

Having previously eaten lunch in the restaurant, my wife and I decided to get a takeaway one night and get the kids to try some. We had one of the best meals we've had in a long time! So tasty! I've got to admit though, I begrudge paying restaurant prices when I'm getting a takeaway, I think a discount would be reasonable.

We stopped because as we passed along the sidewalk we saw some dishes that spoke for themselves. And we went to listen to them. Eating at the tables on the sidewalk with the sun making the atmosphere warmer, the service super friendly and with recommendations on the dishes, a totally recommendable experience. The dishes, of incredible flavor. I would return a thousand times more.

Visited on a busy Sunday afternoon. We were lucky to get a table, so glad we did as the food was outstanding. Packed full of flavour with some interesting dishes. The meatballs and Halloumi fries were delicious. We will definitely be back.

We booked in for lunch at midday. They were not set up and had just opened. We had to wait for a few mins and ask to put the heating on. We sat in coats till warmed up. The food was cooked very well and staff friendly. However for what we got for £75.00 lunch. I would have expected a bit more. Overpriced. I have been to better tapa places and paid £150 for two people and been very happy.

Hafla Hafla is easily in my top 3 restaurants in Liverpool! The small plates were generously portioned and amazing. My favourites were the broccoli with babaganoush and the corn ribs. The Persian roast chicken Kebab was to die for and left me very stuffed. A very underrated spot; I had a fantastic time!!!

3rd time here. I’ve noticed that if you come during less busy hours the food quality is higher as they have more time to spend on each dish.

The house speciality of halloumi fries were amazing, as were all the other dishes, with special mention for the za’atar bread with whipped ricotta 😋. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Always a great experience in here. The Persian roast chicken kebab and the cauliflower are so delicious.

Can't even be bothered to respond to an enquiry (I chased nearly 10 times) - I ended up using another company that was more professional.

14 quid for a very average kebab

Sadly not the same as it once . Service is pleasant but the food is a little average now, Some complacency may have crept into the restaurant. I ordered chicken thighs which came first and quickly just warm so I suspect pre-cooked and not hot with crispy skin, but almost tasted poached as had sat in juices waiting. Crispy roast harrisa potatoes also not really crispy, more diced warm potatoes with a sauce. A bit pricey not to get the simple things right.

Good place to try middle eastern food. Loved the Persian rice and the way you can choose small plates of different foods.

Three of us had some lovely brunch at the weekend. Friendly and chatty staff. Great mimosas, great good. I appreciated being able to switch things out for what I preferred. Slight issue with a guy sweating and seeming to be a bit of a nuisance. But the staff responded really well and kindly to him. Took the edge off a bit. I'd defo recommend and I'd do go back to try more from the menu.

Had a meal at Hafla Hafla last Saturday night. The food was exceptionally good, along with the service being the perfect level of attentive and efficient, but not in your face. We tried lots of different dishes from the menu and all were delicious in their own right. Was also excellent for my girlfriend who is vegan - she didn't feel restricted in any way which can be the case when eating out. All in all, a perfect evening and we all left stuffed full of excellent food.

Fabulous food with great service - definitely worth a visit

We were two people and ordered 2 kebaps and 3 mezze in total (lamb meatballs, tabouleh, cod bites) I can truly reccomend everything, especially the brisket kebap. The meat was out of this world. The service was amazing too, super friendly and helpful!

I eat here quite often and I have never been disappointed. The baba ganoush is great, so is the hummus and the chicken dishes- it tastes like they are using authentic good quality ingredients, not just some cheap alternatives like so many restaurants these days. Highly recommended!

My friend and I went for a catch up and it was perfect! The food was extraordinary and the dishes are the right size to share (or steal for yourself depending on your disposition) Our server, Hannah, was delightful and I felt that she would have gone out of her way to help anyone! Her humour and acceptance of my silliness made me feel right at ease. Give her a pay rise! I'd recommend HH to everyone but make sure you have a booking as it's very popular and usually busy!

Humus, kofte and crispy bread is good. Bread pudding is delicious

Cool funky little restaurant tucked amongst lots of places to eat. Absolutely delishous fresh cooked Mediterranean cuisine. And it's always packed because it's fantastic and tiny.

Enjoy my meeting with a friend, food was lovely especially bread nice taste with rosemary. Staff was polite. We had table booked for 11am, however place become very busy during the lunch time. Recommend making reservation.

A lovely visit to lark lane and stumbled upon this place! Amazing food selection, we opted for sharing small plates and everything was really tasty. Amazing service all of the staff were friendly particularly Hannah so we would definitely return.

Absolutely brilliant night out. The food was amazing - and nobody could leave here hungry. The Staff were superb - they really looked after us and were helpful, polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this for a night out if you have the room for more food than seems possible

Great authentic dishes. It's worth the trip from Southport. Great food and drink. Book ahead for "accessibility," but everything else was great.

Nice for sharing food. Make sure you book otherwise you've got no hope of getting a table as it's so popular.

From the moment we walked in, we were well looked after, swapping tables so that my wife didn’t have to sit too close to the speakers (they weren’t that loud anyway, but she wears hearing aids & is ,therefore, sensitive) Lauren did a great job in advising us all on the best way to order, especially useful as our table went from very young to me, definitely not young…the food was incredible, with fresh flavours that we had never tasted before A lovely, vibey place to spend a summer evening eating, talking and laughing. Thanks to all at Hafla Hafla, especially Lauren and her great advice, we had a wonderful evening.

We went here today for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Child friendly venue all of the small plates we had were delicious and the staff were all welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend thanks for a lovely meal x

Food, especially the hallumi, tasted amazing. However, the portion sizes were smaller than I'm used to. Husband loved his meal though.

Had over 10 dishes in the group and every one of them was amazing. Great service as well.

Took my mum out for a mother's day meal on a surprisingly busy Tuesday evening. The food was definitely worth going back for and NAT in the hat that served us was funny informative and made us feel at home.

Booked table for Friday evening. Seated after few minutes wait, and told we have the table for 1 hour 30 minutes which I wasn’t told when I booked. It took 15 minutes to take drink/food order, food arrived approximately 20 minutes later yet within 15 minutes of food arriving at which point we have been there for 55 minutes the waitress tells us we have 15 minutes left! 5 minutes later the waitress reappears and takes plates of food we had not finished eating! Conveniently a group of walk in customers were waiting for our table. I would suggest for future reference if you are only permitting customers enough time to eat half their food then logical to charge them half the cost! Awful service, unhelpful staff, mediocre food and much nicer restaurants on Lark Lane which I visit regularly as I live local.

Fabulous lunch in Lark Lane during our walk along the waterfront from central Liverpool to Sefton Park. Delicious food and great service. We’ll be back.

Family of six adults there to celebrate 2 birthdays. Mediocre at best, couldn't eat at the same time as waiting too long for each meal, some of the party had completed their meal before others had arrived. Poor service had other people in but not busy. Very disappointing birthday meal and definitely not worth the 2 hour drive On booking they had asked for a reason, we said it was to celebrate 2 birthdays with a long drive to get there, why bother asking if you aren't going to do anything?? Would not recommend

Got to say, we were very well looked after today by 2 guys working there today, we wanted a table for 4 and were booked in for by 1pm, the table was needed back by 2.30 due to a large party but our friends got stuck in traffic and we’re quite late, they were still really accommodating! They took our orders and brought our food quickly but not rushed, special shout to the young lad, he was brilliant and really nice. Based on these two guys alone we’d come back and have already recommended Hafla hafla, it helps that the food was amazing too, all fresh and good size plates too, be back soon 👍👍

Booked a table on a Friday evening for a group only be told 55 minutes in we had 15 minutes left. Not told this when booked! Took plates away whilst still eating! Couldn’t wait to roll the next ones in! Awful service! Won’t be returning.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff and gorgeous fresh food. Amazing quality seafood and no wonder the halloumi fries are famous!! I had really specific requests for my food to be cooked differently and it was all done without me feeling like I was being any trouble. Definitely coming back! Thanks for a great night.

Hafla Hafla is a regular for me (has been for ages!!) and I love it every single time! Last night was my birthday get together, 14 of us all sat upstairs on a busy Saturday night and it was PERFECT. The food came out quickly at nice intervals (which was impressive given the amount of people!), the staff were all so lovely and accommodating every single person was happy with their food, we all left very full and very happy! My absolute favourite place to eat . Everything is spot on from the atmosphere to the food. Thank you for helping make my birthday so special 🥰❤️

Great food, great service. There were 6 of us looking for an impromptu bite to eat and we were fitted in and made to feel welcome. Good value - totally recommended.

Left yesterday afternoon replete with food, drink and endorphins. Great atmosphere, great food and great staff.

I visited the restaurant with my partner and regret doing so. It was my partners birthday and this was a big treat for us but we were seated right by the by the bar. All we could hear was the bar staff talking to each other despite there being plenty of empty tables to the right of us. We also had to ask if we could order food as this seemed to take forever. I also had to ask for the bill twice. The staff also did not check in with us during the meal to ask if we were ok or needed anything else. As I result I didn’t appreciate the service charge as I don’t think the staff had earned it. Massive disappointment - we won’t be returning.

Fantastic food and service, incredible value too. 2 kebabs, 4 small plates and hummus between the two of us (we over-ordered) for £56 including service charge. Will definitely be back!

The tastiest Middle Eastern food, in a cool contemporary setting with friendly knowledgeable staff. An absolute gem of a place!

I've visited Hafla Hafla twice recently. On both occasions the food and service has been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd especially recommend the calamari. The bread and butter pudding is also excellent. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I'd highly recommend.

Fantastic food and service in a lovely environment. We had all veggie/vegan stuff. The hummus in particular was amazing.

Four of us wandered in without a booking on Monday evening at about 7:30. Our small scruffy mutt was welcome in the lower section and she was provided with a bowl of water. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was friendly, quick and attentive. A very good experience and it was reasonably priced.

Lovely food as ever, never a bad dish. Friendly enough service but a little let down by poor attention to detail. Staff weren’t checking if all was ok or if we needed anything else, we had to call them over each time. When we finished our meal we were left with sticky crumbs on the table that wasn’t wiped. I notice that the manager doesn’t seem to respond to comments on here too. So close to perfect if that attention was a bit better.

Lovely meal however it really puts me off when places add on a service charge to your bill, especially when the service was pretty minimal overall. I do understand we can take it off, however it puts customers in an unfair position and makes us feel v uncomfortable which surely isn't what you want guests to feel. Just very cheeky- if we felt the service went above and beyond then we'd have tipped. Sadly won't be visiting again.

Great place to have a meal. Do come here by all means! Just be prepared because this is the only meal you'll have for the day! We ate lots, but almost everything was great!

Couldn't resist trying Hafla Hafla after seeing the food on the tables outside, which looked amazing. We were served by Nat who was lovely and really attentive, making sure we had water on the table (in the September heatwave) and replacing the empty bottle with a full one before we even had to ask. The food was tasty and the bread was so delicious it felt indulgent. The halloumi kebab was good but could've been better. It was overloaded with wet ingredients (coleslaw I think) which caused a soggy pool in the centre of the bread. The halloumi was also really salty and the other ingredients didn't quite balance it out. We'd definitely go back here again though to try more dishes.

We *love* the food in the place, but the service lets us down every time. One visit, we received an angry phone call 30 minutes before our booking asking where we were (they incorrectly had our booking in early). We were apologetic, checked and double...

We enjoyed eating mostly fish and vegetarian options from the small plate menu. All the dishes were delicious, with the Sea Bass, Cauliflower, King Prawn and roasted Brocolli dishes getting a special mention. The portions are generous and the service friendly all for just over...

First time at Hafla Hafla, very impressed, there wasn’t anything we did not enjoy… the food was delicious and some of the best we’ve had in a while, the service was exceptional (especially paddy) and the whole vibe to the place was homely and warm....

Such a great experience this eve. Staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Nats. I had lots of questions and Nats answered them all with a smile. Everyone’s food was delicious (1 vegan and 2 not). Will be back again soon. ☺️

This place is definitely one of, if not the best on lark lane. The service is always spot on, and the food is incredible. Plenty of options, I’d recommend it all but the broccoli is a must!

Just love this place. The food is just gorgeous. Service is good and friendly. The flatbreads are delicious, as are all the starters/ sides etc. Highly recommended but beware it gets busy and you often cannot get in.

Who knew broccoli could taste that good! Harissa roast potatoes, prawns, heritage tomatoes to name just a few of the dishes we tried, all amazing, we couldn’t fault a single thing. Good atmosphere and nice staff. We will definitely return!
