Hadleys at Number One in North Somerset

A modern breakfast menu . Food was freshly cooked and presented. Very relaxed atmosphere. WE were able to park our car outside, which was a bonus.

We eat at Hadleys once a week. The food is excellent, the hospitality welcoming, altogether an enjoyable experience. The high standard hasn't dropped in 10 years of being open. I have gluten and dairy intolerances and adjusting my choices, every week, is never a problem. Just finished another lovely meal here and, already, can't wait for next week's lunch. Thank you All

Stopped for a spot of lunch, so glad I did, Hadleys is still one of Weston’s premier spots for lunch. Great menu, fabulous fresh options. I went for the Chicken Parmigiana, it was superb, the tomato and mozzarella sauce was full of flavour, home made chips with a crispy outer and fluffy centre. Excellent all round 👍🏼

I had the full English breakfast with a coffee. The quality of the food was amazing and the staff could not have been more friendly. I was apprehensive about dining alone but they made me so welcome. It was the highlight of my day.

Excellent food, well presented and good vale. All our dishes arrived piping hot. We were served by James who was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend

Driving down The Boulevard this morning my partner and I decided to stop at Hadleys for a coffee. He paid for parking whilst I went into the restaurant, it was 11.40am and there was one other couple in there. Despite a sign advertising tea and coffee with cake 'all day' on a sign outside, I was told that they closed at midday and they couldn't serve me. We try hard to support local, independent businesses in Weston, but this one doesn't seem to be bothered so in future neither will we.

Booked the restaurant for 17 people for the Christmas menu, the service was superb, food top quality, veg perfectly cooked, high quality produce, fantastic menu selection, all in all on a par with any top class restaurant charging far more, a real treat for everyone including the 3 kids

I don't mind paying for good food but Hadley's is a bit overpriced for what you get. Apart from that I have no complaint. We blundered in on spec on a Friday night but we were seated nonetheless and the service was swift. I had the carrot soup starter and the other half had the prawns, both were lovely. Then we both went for the steak, at almost £25 I would have expected more than a small (tacky) basket of chips and a bit of salad, I've had all the trimmings for the same price elsewhere and cooked equally as well. Also there was no choice of sauce, no peppercorn, no Diane but the blue cheese sauce they did have was delicious. The wine was a £5 bottle ramped up to £20 - as always in a restaurant. Hadley's is trying very hard to be a bit posh but it hasn't quite got there yet despite charging as if they have. They will however get there I'm quite sure.

Breakfast here is a joy The menu is so good and boy it’s worth waiting for Potato Rosti you have to have ! 3 of us had them and the other a small breakfast ( I would hate to see the normal size ) The food is so good The staff are lovely and friendly

Excellent food and service, best three course meal I have had in a long time. In a party of seven with all different orders every one of us were very happy

Went here on Sunday whilst visiting friends, and really enjoyed the experience. I had the meatballs to start followed by the roast pork and finally the rum and ginger cake and all was excellent, not 1 of our party left anything on our plates and we all said we would definitely go back again. We could not find any fault at all.

First visit to Hadley’s. We had friends staying for the weekend and wanted to go out for Sunday lunch. What a delight! Although a traditional roast was on the menu, there were alternatives. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The service was very good, and the food was excellent. I had a lovely piece of nicely cooked Hake with new potatoes and a good selection of very tasty vegetables. Excellent goats cheese starter. I would highly recommend a visit. We had the Christmas menu…it was the best Christmas meal I’ve had in any restaurant. Everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Couldn’t fault the whole experience.

Hadley's has been a treasure in Weston for many years. Visit- and notice how many of the customers are locals who go there regularly. New management? Well, yes and no. Front of house is in the very capable hands of someone with LONG experience of Hadley's and its heritage. Prices still reasonable, food still excellent, ambiance still delightful. For morning coffee or a big celebration meal- Hadley's would be great!

Superb experience, front of house staff are so friendly and engaging, nothing is too much trouble. The food is superbly prepared, fresh ingredients and tastes amazing. We won’t go anywhere else, can’t wait to return

Quite simply the best breakfast in Weston Quality produce well cooked …loved every item on the plate as did my daughter Very tasty sausage and bacon..fried bread done to perfection. Minor point..the sausage was a bit on the small side so could have done with an extra one 😁

Looked forward to a lovely indulgent lunch today but could’ve just eaten at the nearest cafe for half the price. Plain food no dressing on salads frozen cheap chips and nothing home made. So disappointed Lovely premises though, nice staff although didn’t check we were ok... spent nearly £50 too

When the Government introduced the Eat Out to Help Out scheme they made it very clear that restaurants were not to change their menus or offers.Disappointed Hadleys have chosen to ignore this & despite still advertising lunchtime set menu on their website & not being advised when booking, they have chosen NOT to offer this on lunchtime visit.Feels like they're cashing in on the unfortunate current circumstances !

I love it here they are so accommodating and welcoming. Nice decor plenty of space and fresh air in these difficult times. Had a wonderful breakfast once again, the smoked salmon and scrambled egg and my poached eggs bacon and cheese sauce yummy - thank you as great place to eat

Met my brother for breakfast this morning and thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful breakfast washed down with lovely chilled orange juice and coffee. Friendly service with excellent social distancing procedures in place. Love Hadleys.

My Mum loves this place as the food is good and the service is excellent. I had sea bass which came with a Mediterranean tomato sauce, potatoes and a mixed salad. Mum had duck with a fruit sauce (can not remember what fruit), vegetables and potatoes. It was a leg and thigh of duck. All tasty.

Very glad to be back this great family run restaurant on their re-opening day after lockdown for Sunday lunch.The food was absolutely excellent as it always is and have to say whilst not traditional roast, their steak & mushroom in red wine pie was delicious and highly recommend.The owners have certainly adopted a great system and layout to comply with the guidelines and you certainly felt safe eating their with all the precautions and spacing they have achieved. Will be back for breakfast later in the week!

Having visited last week for breakfast without the children, we returned today for my husbands birthday breakfast. the food is wonderful and the service equally wonderful. the lunch and dinner menus look really good. we will make this a regular date. wonderful little gem in weston.

We were really looking forward to our Valentines day dinner. Sadly it did not meet with our expectations. Atmosphere not great as we were shown the upstairs room which looked like it had once been a bedroom - just not very comfortable to be in. Waiter eventually brought us our first course which was fine but not anything we'd order a second time. After a very long wait, our mains arrived - comfit duck in an orange sauce with a dollop of very dry and tasteless potato (possibly pomme Anna?). Accompanied by small soggy cut up pieces of bell pepper and onion. There was nothing violently wrong with it but it really lacked flavour and we couldn't be bothered to eat it. At £36.00 per head we expected better and decided to leave - but not before they charged us for the over -priced Shiraz at just under £20.00, and £40.00 for the two lamb kofta starter and cheese souffle starter I had. Bread rolls were nice but not enough to make a return visit.

Visited for an evening meal on a Friday evening - quite a small restaurant but very well presented with an interesting menu - my partner had the Portabella mushroom stack as a starter and then the fish dish of the day - I passed on the starter and had the lamb rump followed by cheese & biscuits (which I couldn't quite finish). All the food was very well prepared/presented/tasty. If in the area again I wouldn't hesitate for a return visit.

Recently went to Hadleys for my husband's birthday lunch. We only eat out here in Weston, wouldn't go anywhere else. Food and service were excellent as usual!

Another wonderful breakfast with friends to set the tone for a day of celebration.Croissant with Scrambled Eggs and avocado and 2 Full English Breakfasts. Washed down with delicious coffees.Usual excellent service from Gillian, Mark and the team.Still need to visit for dinner.Happy New Year everyone.

Met up with my Sisters & niece, for a spot of Lunch.They go there quite a lot. Some had Leek & Potato Soup, with crusty bread, 1 had Jacket potato with tuna & Melted Cheese another had Baguette with prawn salad. I can tell you we absolutely loved our Food. The Staff Excellent, well informed and very friendly and cheerful. The atmosphere was relaxing, the place Spotlessly clean.

Best sandwich I have ever had! Brie cheese was lush! Lovely service and atmosphere! Cant wait to come again!

Twenty one family and friends celebrated my 70th Birthday In the lovely upstairs room. The food was delicious, the service was perfectly timed and the staff were so friendly. Everything was managed with relaxed charm. We loved it. We couldn’t have picked a better venue.

Hadley’s at Number One is a little bit of class in Weston super mare, a rare find. The food is brilliant, the atmosphere is great and it’s got a bit of an upmarket vibe.

We visited on a Saturday having pre-booked a table for four. The food was delicious but if you're looking for large portions, look elsewhere. Three of us ordered from the set menu. We had fishcakes and baked brie for starters. The others had chicken for their mains while I had fresh fish. My husband had fishcakes off the main menu. Hadleys is spotlessly clean and we would certainly return. The only quibble I can come up with is that my brie was slightly overheated and starting to separate, but not badly enough to send back. Will certainly be going there again.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch and drinks post the town Remembrance Day Service. The whole experience was very very good, the food was superb and service excellent and very very friendly.

My friend wanted to celebrate her 70th there so we rocked up for breakfast. The two boys had the full english which looked delicious and they confirmed it was. The birthday girl had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs als overy tasty, and I had a muffin with poached egg and bacon covered in cheese sauce! Well, when you have been on a diet for 2 months it was HEAVEN, so yummy and Ive never had a cheese sauce on eggs before. We also had Bubbly, so all in all it was a lovely morning, and the staff are excellent. A lovely place where I would love to return to very soon.

Went here for dinner when staying in weston, quite small but good menu with a good choice , staff attentive withouty being overbearing , if we lived in weston this would be our local;

This little restaurant has a really lovely atmosphere helped along by the very pleasant waitress. All four of us enjoyed our food. I particularly enjoyed my meat pie (something that it is very easy to get wrong). The decor is simple but stylish with a few interesting quirky features. A perfect place for a casual meal with friends.

After visiting a few times for awesome Sunday Lunches a few times about 5 years ago we went back for breakfast this morning.

Eight of us celebrated a friends birthday and an anniversary. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The service attentive but not rushed. Highly recommended!

Visited twice recently....Evening meal and a Sunday lunchtime meal.

Have used this restaurant on several occasions, living locally it’s nice to drop in for breakfast or lunch when in town, always clean, always good food and always friendly staff, really worth a visit if your visiting Weston.

We were recommended by a friend of my stepmother who was treating me and my husband to an anniversary meal whilst on a visit to Weston. How we have overlooked this restaurant I do not know but we will certainly return. The food was lovely, the owner very welcoming and helpful. I am sure my stepmother will be visiting with the lunchtime friends soon. The cheeseboard was fresh and delicious, the fish and vegetables perfectly cooked and the desserts were enjoyable too.

We have been using this restaurant for a number of years on all our visits to Weston and are never disappointed. The food is beautifully cooked and well presented and the ambience is relaxing.

My family and I recently tried the food at Hadleys ,and needless to say we were all very impressed.The atmosphere was wonderful ,and the service very good as well.I honestly can say the appetizer I had that night was one of the best I have ever tasted.All in all a tremendous visit.

Hadley's has a long and storied history, and is most recently found in Weston-super-Mare. What I love most (besides the food) are the owners, Mark and Gillian, and their son, who has also joined the family business. They really enjoy the people they serve. I'm especially grateful, because they are always kind to my brother, who has known them since their Chichester days. Eat at Hadley's!

Calling late morning on Sunday to see if the Hadley had a table for 4 for that lunchtime, a sigh of relief was had by all as we booked in. We were not disappointed, friendly welcome, good service and even better food that was hot, flavoursome and served with a smile. A nice relaxed environment, would highly recommend

We visited for the second time on Saturday as a party of 6. Excellent food and brilliant service, always with a smile. This place is fabulous. And to find a place that gives all this without charging extortionate prices is the added bonus.

The food is awesome large amount of choice everyone in my party of four totally enjoyed their meal. The cheese and biscuits was like no other. Its quite an interment place ideal for being able to chat without lots of people walking around and noise. The service was superb> I have mobility problems arriving in a wheelchair they could not have been more accommodating, checking if the allocated table was suitable when i said i was getting out of the chair , they were very quick to move chairs check i had enough room and assist folding the chair. I would highly recommend a visit.

My wife and I came here on 12th May for lunch. Well, what can I say...lovely decor, great Sunday roast, marvellous ambience and eccentric and funny but wonderful proprietor Mark...His wife and family run a great place, and we will definitely return soon.

Oh wow, a must place to visit for a meal in Weston Super Mare. A beautiful family run restaurant. Food freshly cooked to order. A wine list to compliment the food and food to compliment the lovely ambiance.

We popped in for brunch / lunch 1125 Sunday - we were told they were fully booked (was about ten tables empty and two had people sat at them) - we were dressed in smart motorbike leathers - (no dress code advertised but we were smart) no alternative offered - no number offered to ring ahead for next time - made to feel really uncomfortable - shame as looking forward to trying the food as had been highly recommended - but not sure about attitude of staff !

My wife and i visited Hadleys @ Number 1 on Friday evening during a short break in WSM. We chose it after looking at top restaurants on Trip Advisor.

Well what a fabulous place, warm welcome by very friendy staff, food delicious will definitely be returning.

We had a very nice Sunday lunch hear. The service was wonderful with a very helpful, polite friendly host. We unfortunately only had the one course (main) but the starters and puds sounded great. We would definitely return to try the main menu. Please note this place has a upstairs so if you are of limited ability make sure you ask for a down stairs table when you book.

Seven of us went for a Lunch,We were made to feel welcome.The food was great , nicely presented and tasted as good as it looked.We were not rushed,so had plenty of time for a catch up.We had an assortment of meals ,and everyone was happy with the choices.Prices are mid range and there is a board with a special weekly offer of two courses for £11.99.will definitely go back.

In Weston only today but chose here for lunch based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor, advise you reserve as most tables taken but they were just able to accommodate us. Excellent service, extremely pleasant atmosphere in clean friendly environment. Food very good and no rushing us away either - very relaxed.

The food, staff and service at this restaurant is amazing. Been for lunch and evening meals before. Equally fantastic. Very upmarket and superb quality. Had a breakfast this morning with family. They all raved about the food and the range of breakfasts offered. Come here if you want to be spoilt.

My husband and I took Mum and Dad to Hadleys for lunch on Saturday. It was our first visit and certainly will not be our last. The staff are brilliant and very friendly, the food is gorgeous. Me and my Dad chose the Tangy Chicken and husband and Mum chose the liver and mash. We had prawn cocktails and the red pepper and tomato souffle for starters. The desserts were delicious - vanilla cheesecake, berry pavlova and cranachan. The restaurant is light, airy and very comfortable and the service is very efficient even though they were very busy. I am so glad I found Hadleys.

What a great find this was, excellent food, lovely decor, in fact there was nothing to fault, and we had a coeliac and a vergetarian in our party, would definately visit again when in the area

Me and the Mrs visited Hadleys on the 16th March and it was truly excellent. We shared our starters of camembert and lamb koftas which were both amazing. The taste of the camembert with the rosemary was beautiful. Then to our delight a beautiful sorbet was brought out. My partner had the pork and I had the chicken both accompanied by dauphinaise potatoes and veg. Really good. All washed down with a very nice NZ sauv blanc. The service, the ambiance and the evening in general was great. Highly recommended.

We had a delicious breakfast in this lovely restaurant. Great service as well. My daughter said she would give it 100 stars if she could! The filled croissants are especially good, well worth a visit.

Visited the cafe for breakfast, I found it difficult to believe that a cafe specialising for morning breakfast is unable to cook a fried egg to choice after two attempts, then with the attitude of the staff that it is my fault. Will not visit again, over priced and staff difficult, should not have paid.

We are both enjoy looking for a place where food is good. Tasty presented well and the ambiance created by surroundings and service. Plus the price must reflect the quality of the meal. It is our first time at Hadley’s. We were not disappointed . Only one thing let it down and that is plastic flowers on the tables. Most restaurants do it which is not necessary. Would recommend and will be trying an evening dinner there next .

We took all of our family for Sunday lunch on the weekend of our 60th Anniversary. All members (of 3 generations) were very pleased and congratulated our choice of restaurant. I can't sing the praises high enough. The staff are very welcoming and we were shown to a beautiful dining room upstairs, all set out for us. Being Sunday, there was a wide choice of Starter/Main or Main only or Main plus dessert, priced accordingly and very reasonable. Between us we sampled many of the dishes on offer and all were first class in every way. The word "quality" sums upall aspects of our experience and we can recommend this restaurant completely.....Thank you "Hadleys at No1"

Great family Sunday Lunch with seven of us including Grandson 3 1/2 was made very welcome . We will be going there again.

A Limited Menu No Budget options but WOW ! You have to go there to find out just how good this is. Service 10/10. starters 10/10 Mains 10/10 , Sweets 20/10 . Had a handful of perfect meals eating out for 50 years. 2 of them were hear. The Lamb is to "Die for" the Creme brulee has to be eaten slowly and adored . Came out after paying the bill feeling 110% satisfied with our experience. Will be back soon!

Went for lunch with my husband. Staff were friendly and personable. Atmosphere was relaxed and they clearly had lots of regular customers. Deserts were amazing ...strawberry and vanilla crepe brûlée was the best I’ve ever tasted and my husband’s chocolate brownie was melt in the mouth. Will be returning to sample breakfast and evening meal.

We couldn't possibly stay in Weston Super Mare without visiting Hadley's for breakfast. It's always so lovely to sit in nice surroundings, served by lovely people and , of course, THE BREAKFAST. Great choice and cooked beautifully.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with four ladies and we all thought the same - really nice venue for a quiet lunch, central and nearby parking is possible but not guaranteed. Good choice of lunch menu including specials and 2 courses for £11.95 (starter & main). Very friendly staff who we were able to have a joke with and who didn't throw us out when the restaurant was due to close!

We had a great family evening celebrating a 60th and an 86th birthday. The food was lovely and well presented and owners were very friendly and accommodating ... perfect for our family get together.

Starters were all excellent. All mains were great except on steak which was over cooked. They took it away and brought a new one which was lovely. Staff were excellent.

I always consider it good fortune when one is invited to a new venue and then discovers a small corner of delight in a world that is, at times, so very often mediocre.

Visit every week with friends or family. You will find yourself in a restaurant with like minded people, all happy and well cared for by wonderful family and staff who know our favourite drinks and menu preferences. Nothing is too much trouble and service is as fast or slow as you need it to be depending on the occasion. We have never been disappointed and always leave with a smile on our faces and a new booking in mind.

I had whitebait for a starter followed by a vegetable curry at lunchtime. Had heard good reviews. Unfortunately both dishes were bland. All veg tasted the same more like a stew than a veg curry. Rice was plain boiled with no additions. Overpriced for plain ordinary food.

Beautiful roast pork with all the trimmings, lovely bottle of Malbec, a super lunch with proper service.
