Hadleigh Kebab in Castle Point

Just don’t do it! Absolutely disgusting 🤮 stay well clear

First time ordering from this kebab takeaway was extremely dissatisfied with Whan the expense of it, it was extremely expensive £40 for two medium kebabs and one large and two garlic sauces. I think is unacceptable when I saw what I received.. The two medium kebabs were in a tiny pitter bread with no chicken in it rather than being chunks they were more like slices of chicken definitely not cooked on a skewer like she should be as there is no way that they would’ve been able to get those pieces onto a skier. I was absolutely gobsmacked at the large one because the large one was in the same size pitter bread as the two mediums and the chicken quantity was minimal. I would say that the normal kebab restaurant in Grays that I normally go to would’ve had 3 to 4 times the amount of chicken in it, and a pound or two cheaper ! I would never purchase this place again as I don’t like being ripped off.

I felt the place was very expensive but I was gobsmacked to see that they guy behind the counter was eating behind the counter which is unhygienic then handling other peoples food. I have no reason to believe he handled my food any better. I felt violated by my experience and shall not be returning.

AVOID..AVOID ..AVOID...GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE CANT GIVE ZERO...OVERPRICED..BLAND TASTLESS HORRIBLE FOOD...RUDE DIRTY STAFF...ESPECIALLY THE WOMAN WHO SHOUTS AT YOU THAT WORKS ON THE CASH TILL.

Worst chicken shish ever.. No flavour cheap salad

Food was ok however gobsmacked at the prices Chicken shish £9.90 Small salad £3.50 Small chips £3.70… unfortunately will not be returning

Probably the worst Shish chicken kebab I've ever had. First of all it was overpriced at nearly £9 for what they called a medium kebab. There was no small! Then they tried to overcharge me by a pound which I pointed out to the manager and subsequently corrected with no apology given. The cook was disinterested because he was disturbed from watching football on his phone to actually work... The portions were embarrassing small with soggy unfresh salad and to cap it all the whole sludge tasted disgusting because I'm certain the chicken wasn't fresh. I only went there because it was quite late and it was on my way home. I would say avoid avoid this place at all costs unless you want food poisoning. Shame I had to give it even one star!

Expensive for small portions, the staff are friendly but it’s over priced, was even charged an extra 90p when I asked for the meat to be separate from the pita bread. Don’t like to be negative especially over a kebab but the portion size was very disappointing… hopefully you’ll have a better experience?

Super friendly owner, very engaging, food tasted great. We've been going there not often but for many years - it's clean, dishes are reliable and of good quality, and you are always welcome with a smile!

Absolutely revolting Had chicken and lamb shish Both portions were pitiful and extremely dry Salad looked old (not fresh) Our dog even rejected eating the chicken 0/10 £28 WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY Broadway grill Leigh on sea much better Only chose Hadleigh kebab as it was local BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!

One of the best kebab shops in Essex. Friendly staff. The meat tastes good, it’s not hard or rough and just melts in the mouth. Never had an issue with Hadleigh Kebab and it’s been here years.

Lovely food great safe food friendly staff

Very welcoming owner and very friendly staff. Supplied food sizes are also reasonably large, fresh and tasty. During the COVID while working long hours, we had regular deliveries on time and when needed which was a great time saver. So, our staff and I are grateful for your service.

Have not been to this kebab shop in ages, wasn't disappointed the chicken kebab was lovely, just the right size for a medium. Chips where just been cooked, they where still hot and not soggy when I got home. Food was delicious A*

Finally. Decent kebab shop. Best doner I've had in ages. Chilli sauce is fantastic. Nice twang and not too hot. Extremely friendly staff. Only stopped in while passing but I'll make the trip again. Even lent me a charger for my phone at 1.30 in the morning. Cheers guys.

If you want a good take away this is the place to go in hadleigh the food is fresh and plenty of it

Food here is reasonable. The only downside is that their chicken burgers aren't fresh chicken breast but the breaded, reformed frozen type that seems to dominate the kebab houses around here.

Good food, available late into the night. Got back from a show and this was the only place still open. Had some ribs, chicken and chips and it was lovely.

Love their burgers n bacon burgers n totes luv their potatoe wedges they're awesome but their chips are disgusting
