Myhosh Lounge in Castle Point

Warm welcome from staff. Nice decor and comfortable seats. Although the temperature in the restaurant was cold which made us want to eat and get going. Upon ordering the dishes we selected we were told that they didn't have ingredients these were liver, halibut and sirloin steak. It would have been good to have been told this ahead of ordering as we then had to review menu again to make a decision. Food ordered was nice but the octopus was rather tough. Gave us a complimentary tea & coffee because of issues with what we wanted to order not being available which was nice. Overall average meal, first time we've been there would try again maybe on a Friday evening rather than a Saturday.

Went there with my partner who's been here before, the experience from beginning to end was fabulous, food was 10/10 the cocktail was beautiful and the service was attentive but not intrusive Thank you

Met some friends for lunch and although very quite we were received and looked after by the lovely waiter. The food was lovely and well presented and whilst portions were smaller than other Turkish restaurants I have been too, food did not go to waste. I would revisit this restaurant.

Great new menu, with great choices. The lunch menu was very reasonable, and the Turkish Red wine was delicious. Staff were polite and attentive. Front of house very knowledgeable and charming. We shall be returning very soon.

Nice place for a lunch friendly staff good food

Came here for the first time since it reopened under this new name. Decor was almost identical to before which was interesting. The food was brilliant as always, especially the Chicken Shish. We were given a few extra starters by the waiter, which he said were accidentally made by the chef but we could keep anyway, however, i was surprised to see these on the bill at the end as we hadn't actually asked for them. Was happy to pay though as both were lovely. Atmosphere was VERY quiet, only us and another table in attendance, it was a Wednesday night though so i'll give the benefit of the doubt. Will definitely be returning to try some more of the menu soon.

Come tonight for a quiet dinner. The service was okay, the staff was friendly. Food was okay. But was very annoying lady talking all evening on the phone on the loud speaker, don’t really expect that at the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, amazing food and very kind staff. I accidentally dropped my beer, they didn’t make me feel bad and replaced it for free.

The only thing wrong with this restaurant is the fact of the smoking area is at the front so you can smell smoke when anyone lights up and you have to walk through it to go in

Ate here for the first time last night. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the lamb shank and the meat platter, with a side of Hallumi. The staff were friendly and professional. Food was served very quickly and piping hot! Tasted very fresh and will definitely be back in or ordering takeaway. Only gave 3 for atmosphere as I felt that on a Saturday night a live singer in the back ground would have just made it perfect 🥰 Thank you Myhosh! X

Absolutely dreadful9 I have been to so many Turkish restaurants this was by far ov don't waste your money they are far better places in the area aspera in Benfleet good value for money atmospheres brilliant and the staff a really lovely and friendly

If I had the chance to give zero I definitely would. Soon as I walk in it was 9:30 but restaurant close at 11 the waiter says ‘you have 10 mins kitchens closed’ bear in mind it’s my first time visiting the place. Ordered ribs and chops. Ribs came with plain basmati rice which I didn’t expect. Amusing this must a fake Turkish restaurant or they can’t afford to make actual Turkish rice… Mrs asked for fries but ended up giving steak cut chips. Clearly not what it was stated on the menu. What a terrible meal honestly I was better off going to gokyuzu in London. Clearly they don’t know what they doing. When it came to bill waiter added service charge asked to take it off, waiter questioned ‘why’ clearly you wasn’t doing something right, when most off the time you was sitting in a corner talking to people on the phone you don’t deserve my money!!!

We chose from the very reasonably priced set lunch menu. The food was plentiful and delicious. Our chicken and lamb shish dishes were tender and succulent and came with lovely fresh salad. Service and atmosphere were pleasant.

We had a fabulous time last night! The food was amazing, service spectacular! Five girls on a night out, the atmosphere was great. The homemade Baclava was delicious and the complimentary Guinness shot was very appreciated! Beautifully furnished too! Gem of a restaurant in Hadleigh! Very nice food, friendly people. Was quiet in there but was a week night.

Would give a zero star if I could. From the start the service was terrible, with only 3 floor staff on a Saturday night I knew it wouldn’t be good at all. 1 drink was forgotten on the first round. The waiter came after 15 mins and asked me to double check order with him as he forgot to put it through the till. 2 starters came (shop bought humous) then the other 4 came after. Garlic prawns were bland and the sauce tasted like Heinz tomato soup. Then 5 mains came with the chips still raw, 1 mousakka came and 1 was forgotten and when it eventually came (out of the visible microwave in the window) it was still frozen in the middle. VERY poor service and quality of food. Would not recommend AT ALL. McDonald’s it’s better than this.

I have never had such a small main course, the chicken shish my partner had had 3 chunks of chicken. The lamb shish I had had 4 chunks of lamb. The kids meal our daughter had was bigger. I now understand why it was completely empty when we went in there. If you want an adult sized meal do not go her.

Had lunch here and I have to comment. It was a real suprise. Food and service excellent all at a very reasonable price. Finding a restaurant that actually delivers value for money is a gem. I would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Good local Turkish restaurant, with a buzzing atmosphere at weekends. The portions are big and tasty. They run out of a number of items very early in the evening, which was a shame. My husband moussaka arrived cold in the middle, but this wasn't corrected as he didn't mention it to me until we left the restaurant 🤦🏻‍♀️ My lamb chops were incredible 😋

Rip off, don't waste your time paying premium prices for bang average food. Lamb was dry and chewy, definitely cooked from frozen. Salad was definitely bought from Iceland's...best thing on the plate was the room temperature rice. Also avoid the lunch time scam where the menu says 2 courses for £12 but doesn't state that's only weekdays. £50 for a kids meal, lamb shish and 2 drinks. Disgusting.

5 of us went for a meal. Food seemed very fresh as i would expect in a Turkish style restaurant. It was well presented and tasty. The tables and decor are very nice and lean towards high end dining, was very happy with that. I had the mixed grill, was a great portion size and i left full. I think when we split the bill we paid around £40 each, which i was happy with, my friends had a couple beers etc so pushes it up. Was very happy with the meal, experience, and price.

Service seemed like hard work for the staff, who got our drinks order wrong because he was to busy watching the football on the TV that had been wheeled into the restaurant. Food was standard, nothing to write home about and pricey. Could get the same quality from the kebab shop over the road at a third of the cost. The only thing they seemed interested in was taking the money at the end . And with a compulsory service charge put on the bill... I will not be back!!

Like everyone else says, it's a beautifully decorated restaurant. The food and drinks were good, but expensive. Staff were attentive and quick to serve our food and drinks. However, the music was so loud that we couldn't talk. Their excuse was "we have young people in". So for the sake of one table, everybody else had to endure nightclub level music while eating - we were not the only ones to complain either. I see others have said the same, maybe the bosses at Myhosh might listen to several reviews saying the same, who knows. I won't be returning. If I want a club, I'll go to a club 🙂

It felt cold where we were sitting in the restaurant, otherwise it was excellent.

We were fitted in on a Friday and had a great meal. They lose a star as we were not offered an allergy menu and we had a guest who needed gluten free. It is very embarrassing for them if we have to keep checking what the can and can't eat.

A good experience at this Turkish restaurant, good food, very meat heavy based menu, although salads and fish dishes are available, a lively atmosphere, very loud acoustics, not a place for quiet conversation.😉👍

Got the vegetarian moussaka was small and tasted like a microwave meal. Very disappointed. When they came over to wipe the table I asked for the bill they didn't acknowledge me and just walked away which was really weird and awkward.

We ate inside on a Monday evening. Service was very good, wasn't rushed to order, or waited to long for food. I had chicken shish, and my husband had lamb chops, both meals lovely. Two bottles of beer, and a glass of wine all for £65 thought that was not too bad at all. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Would highly recommend 👌

Amazing service, food, everything! We came as a family to celebrate a special event and had a fantastic waiter called Mido who served us from start to finish and we gave him a well deserved tip of £16. Everything we had was amazing and we will definitely come again!

We were a party of 4 and not the first time we have been here, the food is first class and the service is brilliant waiters and waitresses are very friendly and helpful, food is always hot and cooked to perfection, the bar man is fantastic and his cocktails and the best one that should be tried is the Turkish kiss gin cocktail. This is a 5star restaurant and so are the staff

Went today for a joint 40th birthday. Fabulous restaurant, from the decor to the lovely staff who made our celebration extra special! Food was amazing too. Very happy party of 20 people and we will definitely be back!

Standards have dropped recently. No more local collection discount, and they've stopped serving Turkish bread with main. Expect to pay extra. Other high end Turkish restaurants are far superior.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, the staff are amazing so friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. My parents are quite fussy eaters but they absolutely loved the food. Nice food & drinks but slow service. Need more staff

Have previously visited for lunch and had a great experience. My mum booked for her birthday meal, this was special as this was our first family gathering for nearly two years. It took a fair while to be served and the waiter tried to get us to change our meze order to spread the food out amongst the table. We asked for two hot and two cold mezes, he thought it was better ordering four hot/ cold that basically had less content for more money. We got the message across in the end. The drinks order was taken at the same time as our food order, which I find unusual. Just me possibly. My Mum ordered a bottle of wine and the rest of us had soft drinks. Eventually the soft drinks were served but no wine. We enquired about this and the wine had been left nearer to an unoccupied adjacent table for some reason. A member of staff advised my mum, that her main course was not available and could she choose another, unfortunately her second choice wasn't available either. Her third choice however was good to go, she asked for saute potatoes instead of the rice. The mains were served apart from my mum's as she didn't get to order hers at the same time for the reasons mentioned above. Her food arrived served with rice, she had asked for the sauteed potatoes ! This was removed and replaced with the same meal with salad and new potatoes, but not sauteed as ordered. My mum was offered a refund on her main meal and also offered sauteed potatoes as a side dish. The serving staff seemed stressed and confused generally about taking orders. On the plus side, the food was very nice and well cooked and presented. The portion size was just about right. So to sum it up great food, however staff seemed confused and disorganized and had didn't seem to know what was not available from the menu at the time it was ordered. I can recommend this restaurant for lunch, but not for evening meal.

The food is tasty but overpriced. Standard Turkish, meat and yogurt with some rice. The service in our experience was utterly dismal and for some reason there was a DJ playing, we were out for my grandmother's birthday, no hope of a conversation with the club music that was being played.

Great atmosphere, lovely and helpful staffs, my baby loss of patience when waiting for the food, staffs will trying to make him smile, food was delicious atleast what we are order all nice, starter octopus and cheese spring rolls was really good, lost another 1 ⭐ is because salmon was overcook and dishes are bit tiny. Prices ok worth for the decor and perfect atmosphere.

First time at this restaurant last night, food was nice, small portions in comparison to other turkish restaurants, but unfortunatly the constant rush by the management to have the table back even though we were given a time slot made the experience dissapointing, at one point we were asked 5 times to order a desert and then asked if they could have the table before our allocated time had finished.

Staff are so friendly and informative . Food is excellent. Atmosphere is wonderful.

Lovely decor. But unfortunately the food was very poor and very expensive. I don’t mind paying for good food but I had to send mine back and it was still the same when they remade it. My son had the children’s burger and chips for £8.95 and it look like dry small microwave burger with a few chips no garnish sauce or anything else on the plate. I understand they have spent lots of money refurb in the place. But need to improve the Quality and appearance of the food to warrant a huge price increase. The average price of the mains was £17 to £40. My daughter Didn’t like the fact there was half a dozen people in the open kitchen just staring whilst everyone is eating. I will try it again in a few months to see if it’s any better food as I eat out most days and sometimes you have bad experience but I’ll give them another go to see if they improve.
