I haven’t been here for a while and it did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and quite big portions. As it was a sunny day the doors at the front were opened so it felt like being abroad

What excellent service from such friendly, attentive staff. A group of 13 of us enjoying a celebratory lunch after an orchestral concert. Food was lovely and served very promptly and amazingly all 13 of us served our food at the same time. Thank you again for looking after us so well.

My daughter recommended Gusto Didsbury after a good meal recently. I often avoid chains but I was really pleasantly surprised. My honey and thyme roasted chicken was amazingly good. Excellent with the grilled vegetables and a tasty sauce. My daughter’s ravioli equally delicious. Excellent service from Jake and lovely Italian Sauvignon Blanc. We’ve already booked for Father’s Day.

service and food was only an okay. i expected more honestly. For the price you’re paying in this economy I guess it’s okay. quite nice for big family’s though

Our table , a booth was a little tight for 8 people the welcome was ok but the waiting staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. The meal was average as the steaks were over cooked one of the wines was out of stock. Would we return no.

Good to be out again at last. A family meal on safe ground. Food nice as usual and not too busy. Safe and reliable choice. You won’t be bowled over by the food but you won’t be disappointed either

Had lunch today with some friends it was a welcome step back to normality. Food as always was exceptional. More than this the service was excellent, we were looked after by a Vuyo and he was delightful, a very nice polite member of staff, was shocked to learn it was only his second shift, he was very knowledgeable and efficient, a definite asset to your team. Looking forward to coming again soon.

I go here quite abit and have taken my sons on many occasions. My Eldest messaged me this week and said Dad not ben gusto for a while. So I booked for just me and him, we arrived and was seen straight to our seats. Lots of familiar faces I'm the staff, have to say I've always found the staff superb here so helpful and friendly. We both opted for 2 small pastas dishes each, some dough petals with prosciutto (which are heaven ) and a rocket salad for me. The ragu they use for the lasagne and bolognaise is out of this world probably the best Lasagne around TBH I've tried most Italian places in Manchester this always shines. Will definitely be back soon as I know the standards are high and the service is top rate.

Gusto has been a truly wonderful experience every time that we have been (and we’ve been 3 times over the past week or so). The food and cocktails are delicious and the ambiance is great. Teresa, Francesca and Sean have been nothing but welcoming and friendly and as we are new to the area they have made us feel really welcome. We went this evening again and unfortunately I didn’t get the name of the gentleman serving us but they went above and beyond to make us feel special and even brought our Frenchie some chicken with the main meal - please make sure you visit if you’re in Didsbury as it’s AMAZING. Thank you

My favourite fancy restaurant! We went yesterday and had a lovely quiet day time meal. Food was delicious as always and service was perfect! Drinks are overpriced but it was worth it as a one off. We’d probably go more often if the drinks didn’t add so much to the bill!

Estuvimos aquí por última vez hace unos seis años y nos sorprendió la eficiencia mejorada, el servicio, la cortesía, el ingenio y la energía positiva de todo el personal. La música estaba un poco alta, pero cuando la gente se fue hacia el toque de queda de Covid a las 10 pm, fue más fácil hablar.El menú parecía menos variado, pero guau, los cinco teníamos una variedad de entrantes, platos principales y postres que no solo eran impecables sino gloriosos en presentación y sabor. Un ejemplo aleatorio. . . el helado de chocolate es la perfección oscura más profunda, sabrosa, no enfermiza, lujosa.

Pasé una agradable velada en Gusto Didsbury para una celebración de cumpleaños, el restaurante estaba limpio, la comida y las bebidas eran muy buenas, pero tengo que mencionar a nuestra mesera Teresa, fue INCREÍBLE. Habíamos solicitado una mesa específica que nos gustaba cuando reservamos en línea. Nos recibió muy bien el gerente que tenía la mesa preparada para nosotros. Excelentes medidas de Covid y ambiente encantador con velas en las mesas y una iluminación sutil. El servicio fue excelente y la comida fabulosa. . . . incluso mejor que cuando lo hemos visitado anteriormente. En general, una agradable velada y una buena relación calidad-precio. ¡Gracias!

Una visita con amigos cercanos de la familia para celebrar una fiesta de cumpleaños número 60. Buena ubicación en el corazón de Didsbury. La decoración, el mobiliario y la iluminación crean un ambiente agradable y relajante. El personal fue muy amable y servicial al principio, pero esto cambió a ambivalencia cuando pedí que me quitaran algunos cubitos de hielo de mi bebida dietética de pepsi. Darle a un cliente un vaso lleno de hielo con un poco de pepsi entre la masa de cubitos de hielo está mal y no debe ofenderse si el cliente no quiere beber agua diluida con pepsi. Mi pizza tenía una gran ventaja, una cobertura muy escasa en el medio y no era muy sabrosa en absoluto. La hamburguesa vegetariana con patatas fritas de mi esposa, por otro lado, era muy sabrosa, pero el tamaño de la porción era más adecuada para un niño que para un adulto. La ambivalencia del servicio se puso de relieve por el descuido del camarero al limpiar y varios cubiertos cayeron de los platos al suelo. Entonces, en general, una buena ubicación y un lugar agradable, pero muy decepcionado por lo que parece ser una política para ahorrar en las porciones de bebida y comida y en el personal que no puede soportar las críticas.

My Partner had never been here before, so I was lucky enough to get a table Tuesday early eve. The service is superb here can't remember the name of the guy who's been there for years but always welcoming. I thought the measures they had put in place for covid are perfect. I had my usual, lasagne, dough petals and rocket salad awesome as always. My partner she had the tbone steak cooked and seasoned perfectly with a side of greens. Overall this place is great, good service nice food and nice ambience. The only Italian chain I'd recommend.

Placed a booking via Gusto's website which was quick and easy. Arrived at designated time and all social distancing measures were enforced in a non intrusive manner by friendly staff. John was our server for the evening who recommended some amazing dishes and drinks (top bloke!). Upon us mentioning that my partner was Coeliac (gluten free/allergy) he immediately said that he would grab a manager. Enter Shaughan (Shav) who talked us through the allergy procedure in a perfect manner and offered alternatives/ amendments to make sure that my partners night was perfect. He even came over at the end of the meal for a chat :) Cannot say enough about the service from this place! The only thing that matched it was the quality of the food! We are now staggering home with very full bellies! Highly recommended! Ps. The lychee martini is amazing, try it!

Upon entering the restaurant I was immediately greeted by a friendly server, who politely explained the restaurant’s one-way system to me and showed me to my table, where my friend was already seated. This was my first time in this branch of Gusto, and I must admit, I was a little underwhelmed by the simplicity and rustic-ness if the decor - I am used to the glamour of the Gusto on Deansgate. Regardless, the restaurant and it’s bathroom facilities did seem very clean and sterile, which is arguably more important, given the times we are living in.Our drinks order was taken for us very quickly (two tap waters), and after telling our server we were not yet ready to order food, we were left on our own for a bit to chat, and did not feel at all rushed, which was very much appreciated.The restaurant offered a reduced menu, presumably in order to facilitate social distancing in the kitchen, and I was disappointed that the zucchini fritte didn’t seem to make the cut...Instead, I ordered the rosemary and sea salt flatbread with meatballs - starter dishes, as my main course - and my friend ordered a pizza. The food arrived impressively swiftly; indeed, I have always known Gusto to be very quick to bring out the food!Meatballs - well-seasoned meat; piping hot; delicious sauce; good quantity of cheese on top (not TOO much, they didn’t over-do it); but I would have preferred there to have been fewer, but larger, meatballs, rather than the smaller, but many, meatballs that I was delivered. Sidenote: excess meatball sauce is perfect for flatbread-dipping.Sea salt and rosemary pizza bread - very generous portion, BUT rather bland, unfortunately; lacking in both sea slat and rosemary (but with a nice olive oil drizzle); also not a fan of the sourdough, it was rather tasteless. The pizza bread also seemed to go cold rather quickly....so when only the crusts were left I asked our server to re-heat the crusts for me and return them with a pot of hot tomato pizza sauce for me to dip them in. I appreciate the kitchen accommodating my request, and I was able to enjoy the rest of my food hot, and with more flavour.After my friend had finished her pizza, which she did seem to enjoy, I decided to order a portion of fries. This was a VERY good decision - the fries arrived almost immediately, the portion size was incredibly generous, the fries were piping hot and perfectly seasoned. I can honestly say that these were some of the best fries I have ever had! I would highly recommend ordering these instead of the pizza bread.Throughout the meal the service was impeccable: servers checked up on us to ask us if we were enjoying our food and needed anything else, when I accidentally knocked over some table water a waiter very kindly brought over a pile of napkins and cleaned the floor beside me, chatting and joking to me as he did so, and that same waiter was lovely and chatty as he took our payment at the end of the evening.I cannot remember the cost of the meal in total, but I do remember it being reasonable, given the warmth and speed of service, the portion sizes we received, and the quality of the food.Overall, I do uphold that Gusto is a good, trusty option for an evening out at an Italian restaurant, but I think that I will stick to the Gusto on Deansgate for its dressier, glamorous atmosphere; hold back from ordering the pizza bread again; and perhaps even wait until the full menu has been restored before I return to Gusto (bring back the zuchinni fritte!). Nevertheless, I thank the team at Gusto, Didsbury, for offering my friend and I warm and friendly service in a safe environment, accommodating my every request that evening, and making my first post-lockdown meal an enjoyable experience.

Lovely meal for a family birthday. However, when I stood up to leave my sister in law pointed out I had purple drops all down the back of my white t-shirt. I then got in the car to find a strand of my hair was all sticky and matted together. It seems a waiter/waitress had spilt a drink or something down me and hadn’t bothered to tell me!Not impressed.

Steaks were really fatty and poorly cooked. Something I would expect in a 2 for 1 pub, not worth £43 a head for 3 courses (no alchohol) any day of the week. Disappointed, not all it's cracked up to be.

Not impressed with social distancing approach between serving staff and customers. No hand sanitizer on entry but we had our own fortunately and not one single member of staff wearing visor which I’ve seen in other restaurants But staff leant in close to serve and take away plates so didn’t comply with social distancing guidance Left me wondering if staff felt pressured not to wear face coverings to create a sense of normality And in a period when Manchester is subject to additional restrictions.

The food was lovely and we appreciate the measures out in place - adequate spacing between seating. However the waiters/waitresses were not wearing face masks - which I found a little disappointing. I really think this needs to be reviewed asap - staff also place the food on the table without respecting the 1+ metre rule. I understand the difficulties- but I think extra measures could have been Implemented to make it feel more safe.

Happy to be back dining at our favourite Italian restaurant. Excellent food and service. Plenty of space left between diners.

Booked as soon as advertised back open and was so happy yo visit again. Felt safe and service was good but slightly slow, starter arrived 5 minutes before the drinks did but understand the wait due to staff shortage maybe? All 3 courses where really nice and will definitely be returning.

They totally forgot we were here. Terrible service. Had to ask for everything numerous times. It got a bit boring to be honest, I started to feel hungry again

Visited with my girlfriend in early December once again and as always there is an amazing ambience great customer service and we had the tastiest and most succulent tuna we had ever tasted ,cant wait for next time.

I came to this restaurant with friends, the staff were very polite and attentive. The food was great and we had a great night.

We often come to Gusto as the food has always been fantastic and service always been great. We visited this time and took advantage of the 50% offer. From the moment we arrived the service was awful. Took about 15 mins to take our drinks order and then we had to ask for water for our table 3x before it came. Our starters were ok and then our main came very quickly but when I ordered the seared tuna I said to the waitress please can you ensure it’s very pink. When it came it was cooked all the way through and my friend was the same. I mentioned the waiter that it’s not seared and his response was this is how it comes. I said that’s not the case as I often have it and it’s normal pink! He refused to deal with it and just walked away. We even had to get up and ask for cutlery . We tried to get attention for some more drinks but our waitress had seem to have disappeared. The table next to us were also unhappy experiencing the same. After waiting 30 mins we decided to get the bill and go elsewhere for a desert and another drink as it would have been 2021 before we got it! We asked for the bill twice and when we got it we had to go up to the lady who greets you when you arrive and was told just go to the bar and pay!!! We have been going here for 3 Years almost monthly! Left a real sour taste that we were treated in this way. We were not even asked to complete the survey you often get asked to do. Just to point out we have very rarely experienced this so we will go back but if I’m honest it won’t be for a while as really put off with staff poor attitude and the fact they are happy to serve below average food. Appreciate it’s 50% off but I wouldn’t even paid that for the tuna it was ruined. Sadly it out a real dampener on our noght

Aghast at Gusto. Unsuccessful meal for me. Ordered the haddock risotto and it came dry and rubbery. Manager apologised. Said it was below par and removed from menu that night. Asked to choose another dish and chose the duck. It came and this was terrible couldn’t cut it. Excuse was that the duck probably hadn’t rested. I had said in ordering that I want in a rush, was aware if cooking would take time and as my friends had their meals and it didn’t matter if it took time to cook we weeny in a rush as it was only 17.00.The manager convinced me to try the haddock again as he says the chef had remade one for him and was ok. When the haddock came it was the haddock was broken up into flakes.(originally came as a piece). First taste and not only was the fish drier than Gandhi’s flip flop there was a bone. My POV is that the chef put extra butter on the fish to make it more moist. Epic fail. Watched the 3 meat meatballs being reheated in the a microwave. So much for fresh food cooked well.I was attended to by a lovely waitress Francesca who couldn’t do enough. Shame the Manager didn’t care by the end and left it to the lovely waitress. I was provided with 2 desserts and courgette side for free. Thankfully I’d had a starter if the courgette so wasn’t hangry and took with good grace the food failure. My friends were not so relaxed about the issue. 10 friends dinners were ok if you like your chips well done hard and brown and overdone. Ran out of peppercorn sauce for the steak. !!! Lord it’s not hard to make fresh !!! I’d even get my mum to show how to make it.The red wine sauce was given for free due to running out of peppercorn. The sauce was not good at all. Thank goodness it was free or that too would be off the bill.Steaks were cooked to the right level but then couldn’t season food as no salt. 5 salt cellars in all were brought to the table, all empty. Each time went to get new salt cellar, gave it to friend only to find it was empty. Come on- 5 empty salt cellars !!!! Ugh. This is basic. There was a table with more empty salt grinders. Pepsi in bottles were nice. £2.50 a pop. Tiramisu describes as homemade. Hmmm Nah pass on that. The Nutella calzone now that was amazing. Wow. Winner winner without a fish risotto dinner. Enjoyed the courgette side. Thank you to the waiting on staff, you tried your best only for the kitchen to let you down. Well done for your customer service and managing the situation, shame on managers who stayed at the bar glaring at me !!! Anyone know where I can get a nice smoked haddock risotto ?

We were looking for somewhere to eat & reading the reviews we decided on here. On entering the restaurant we had to wait as the place was busy, that seemed a good sign. The beetroot flatbread houmous was like cardboard & flavourless. The two pizza that were ordered were nothing special with the base a bit undercooked & the edge hard & dry. On the plus side the tagliatelle with tomato & king prawns was very tasty. A pity the other dishes weren’t as good as this. The staff were very helpful & friendly...

We received good quality food and service on my visit, with a group of friends when we visited Gusto Didsbury at the weekend.The food was lovely and well served and we got exceptional value for money by taking advantage of the regular January offer of 50% off food (not drink) if confirmed when booking. The restaurant was lively and enjoyable.

I recently visited Gusto Didsbury for the first time and I was quite impressed. The place is well set out and has a cosy, warm atmosphere. With it being a Thursday in January, it meant we qualified for the 50% off food and drink deal. Although the restaurant was very busy when I arrived, the service was absolutely spot on. The food wasn’t excellent but it was very good and The meals were out with in 15/20 mins. I would defiantly come back in the near future.

We were a “walk in,” early evening on Saturday. Our waitress was so helpful but was let down by the slow, almost snail pace of the bar staff. Our pre-dinner drinks arrived with the starter and the wine was just as we finished our main course. Our waitress went over and above and ensured that a table was reserved for us on the bar so that we could finish our wine in comfort as they were needing the table. Full marks to her and I hope she gets recognised as the assert she is to their business.

What a delight. Delicious food, excellent service and the perfect ambiance for a Friday evening date night. We will definitely be back again!

Had a great meal here with friends and took advantage of 50% off the food in January . Really enjoyed it and the staff were great. Delicious fillets steak and brownies for dessert.

Booked a table for 4 on 15th Jan. Shown straight to the table. One of party was vegan, one had allergies. Soon as one of the party queried a starter, a manager was brought over and explained about the ingredients in the various choices. All starters and mains were brought in a timely manner. Everything was fresh,tasty and everyone was very pleased. Vety busy place, would recommend you book.

Have to say this is one of my go to Italian places in Manchester, the service is always superb and the food is great. Went on Sunday with a couple of friends and the service was brilliant as usual, the food was excellent and we had a lovely dessert each. The lasagne is one of my favourites here if you haven't tried this place go in January booking through there website in sure once you've been you'll go back again. Carl (I'm sure that's his name) is a lovely guy and very attentetive. Superb as always, I'll be back.

Booked for Christmas Eve and were glad we did. Whilst many other restaurants gave you 2 hours at the table, here you could stay all night. Lovely food, lots of choice. Nice atmosphere and super customer service.

I have been meaning to visit this restaurant for some time because it looked very attractive from the outside when I have passed it.Wednesday 11th December 2019 became a day when the opportunity arose for a visit and their Christmas lunch menu looked like a great deal so off we went.

I have just eaten at Gusto with my family. I am gluten free and despite a large menu, the only starter that I could have was olives! The manager presented me with an iPad to highlight allergies but seemed more concerned about me signing a disclaimer than helping me to find something to eat. I chose duck breast for main course and to be fair, what there was of it was very nice. There just wasn’t much of it. A small amount of creamed potato and one leaf of cavollo nero. I am starving. My husband had pizza ( good choice- decent size) but my daughter had gnocchi which was minuscule. She’s starving too! Gnocchi is so cheap there really is no excuse for serving such a small portion. And guess what- other than ice cream- no gluten free deserts. So no starter and no pud. Very disappointing. I am going home hungry and definitely would not be tempted to go back.

Went recently with friends. Given menu and drinks quickly enough but completely forgotten about for nearly half an hour. We were sitting a little away from the main area and no-one even looked in our direction- even though we tried to attract attention. Eventually one of us went to the bar and was told they thought we were still looking at the menu. Don’t know how they thought this as they hadn’t looked our way. Poor excuse and quite offhand, really. We decided to leave.

¡Hemos visitado regularmente a Gusto para celebraciones pero decidimos ir allí con mi hermana que estaba de visita desde otro país porque nos encantan los filetes! ¡No decepcionaron! De hecho, cada curso sabía increíble!

Llegué a Gusto por capricho de último minuto con mi novio el jueves y pasé una velada encantadora. Nos recibieron con una sonrisa y nos sentamos enseguida. Nuestro servidor, Jess, merece una mención porque fue muy amable y profesional. Sabíamos qué platos principales queríamos, así que le pregunté si podía sugerir un poco de vino para complementarlos, ella claramente sabía lo que hacía y nos dio excelentes recomendaciones, ¡gracias Jess! Nuestros entrantes eran deliciosos y el pato de David con aderezo balsámico fue el mejor pato que había probado (la foto lo muestra concentrándose intensamente mientras vierte el aderezo). Mi risotto milanés tenía un poco de sabor, pensé, sabía principalmente a mantequilla, pero todo lo demás era perfecto. Recomiendo el gnudi, tan cremoso.

Comida familiar. Bien recibido y muy agradable. Vino - caro para lo que era (mucho como se esperaba) pero la comida era muy buena. - Spaghetti de mariscos, fondue de pollo y ensalada César de pollo y una tabla de quesos ligeramente decepcionante para terminar. No es caro. Una buena experiencia atenuada por una solicitud muy lenta de la factura: el personal parecía un poco cansado a esta hora tardía (9.00 p.m.) un lunes por la noche

Comida encantadora servida con una sonrisa. Era el cumpleaños de mi hermana y le alegró el día y toda la familia se lo pasó genial.

Visité Gusto con mi hijo y mi nuera, un restaurante muy agradable con un personal muy amable, pedimos tres comidas diferentes, tuve la lasaña que era muy sabrosa pero un poco demasiado salsa para mi gusto, mi hijo tenía pollo que estaba bastante pequeño como era el pato, pero sabroso, las bebidas pensé que eran caras, pero todos tuvieron una noche agradable.

First time visit with friends, who'd been here a number of times before, to realise that this was previously Est, Est, Est which I'd been dined at at least 15 years before. The Restaurant still had the same feel about, serving a decent menu of standard Italian food. The decor seemed little changed from when I was last here. We were originally allocated a table at the rear of the Restaurant, near the kitchens, but we found this very noisy and busy with all the staff hurrying backwards and forwards, also it was a very warm evening and we found being near the kitchens a bit overpowering and stuffy,so we asked to move. Our waitress initially didn't seem happy to move us, but a more senior waitress got involved after our protestations and we were allocated a table in the conservatory at the front of the Restaurant, which was more to our liking. We started with a shared Humus, but no pitta bread; instead some crispy beetroot wafers, which we found a bit bland. For Mains, I had a Seafood Risotto, which was very tasty, but not a good portion for nearly £18. My wife had Med vegetables in filo pastry, called Rainbow Parcels, which she really enjoyed, but also thought the portion was on the small side Being still a bit hungry, we shared a tasty Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was the size of a cupcake. Our friends had warned us that the portions were small, but we were quite disappointed to find just how small they were, especially as the food was not that cheap We had excellent service from our waitress Sophie, thought that the Restaurant had a nice ambiance, provided that you were in the right area, but I think that the management need to re-evaluate the portion sizes, which are less than you would expect in a Restaurant of this calibre

We frequent the Manchester Gusto regularly as the dining club allows it, and was in Didsbury so decided to try it out.

I visited Gusto this evening and was initially struck by the atmosphere with the tree lights and calm atmosphere.

I had a wonderful vegetable filo pie which was delicious, my companions had the sea bass (fussy eater) and claimed it was very moist. Our waitress was very attentive and we weren't rushed out after finishing our food. I would definitely return and recommend.

We visited this restaurant with family and friends. Nice pizza in the fire grill. But service was not so fast. Food was ok.

Charity board dinner and what a fab night. Service was great throughout. Well done the staff team. Food excellent. Calamari starter v tasty. The sea bass two fillets were amazing. V tasty. Nicely set off with spinach and a side of fries. Plumped for chocolate brownie dessert which was great. Really enjoyed the whole evening. Thanks.

Planned a surprise meal for my daughter who turned 30 on Sat 29th June. Read the reviews & as my eldest daughter had also recommended it I thought it was an excellent choice. The menu sounded amazing & the venue looked great. On arrival we were shown to our seats & placed drinks orders. The drinks took a while to arrive, we requested a jug of iced water. Again waited a while & had to remind the server.

I am a regular at Gusto restaurants, however whenever I visit the Didsbury chain in particular I am disappointed with my experince. The staff are kind, however the food really lets the place down. The same food in this restaurant tastes worse than the others, for example, Cheadle Hulme. Last time my lasagne contained pulled beef instead of minced meat despite this not being listed on the menu, I wonder if they simple ran out of normal ingredients - unfortunately this change was not a pleasant one. In future I will be avoiding this place and visiting another restaurant in the chain.

Had a superb evening thanks to the lovely Jess and Francesca (from Northallerton!!) who both looked after us so well. Never disappointed here we will be back!!

I was visiting my cousin and her husband and we decided to give this place a go. They have a mid-week dinner menu which was reasonable. The ambience of the restaurant was good. Service was ok, although they were a bit slow bringing the drinks. Some of the menu choices were nicer than others. The salmon main was nice but tiny. Unsure why it was worth of a £1 supplement. I was indifferent to the beetroot salad also. The pizza was huge and tasty. As was the rigatoni starter. All in all a pleasant experience.

Came here for an 80th birthday, the staff couldn't have done enough. the food was fantastic and with a group of over twenty we were not restricted on menu selection that can happen at other restaurants. Little ones were catered for first so they didn't moan, and the rest together so everyone was eating at the same time. The wood fired pizza oven blazing away made fore a nice backdrop.

I booked a table at Gusto Didsbury instead of my usual in Cheadle Hulme for and early tea with my husband, it was a birthday treat as he’s been working very early each morning. The restaurant was fairly quite, we were seated quickly and we ordered a beer and a sparkling water (I drove) we were then asked 4 times within 5 minutes if we were ready to order so we did. We ordered a starter and a pizza each, nothing too fancy. Our starters arrived within 5 minute and then speedily cleared. Having waited for over 30 minutes with the waiter and waitresses constantly wafting past to the cutlery station the manageress came over to apologise for the delay with our mains and offered a free beer and fizzy water, which we left. The pizzas arrived 10 minutes later and were less than average. Deflated by the atmosphere and the wait , we got the bill and went elsewhere for dessert. We left at 8.30 feeling rather flat and more like unwelcome guests than paying customers. I won’t be booking there again.

We went to Gusto’s for a business dinner with 5 colleagues. We ordered several starters and just shared amongst each other. Main meals were gorgeous as well. Good service, never an empty glass or plate on the table. The acoustics could have been better, but the rest more than made up for it. Definitely recommended.

Visited here yesterday for the first time in a while and my boyfriend had never been before.... we opted for the lunch menu early as we had a day planned for birthday celebrations..... the service was fantastic! Nick & Sophie took time out to chat and make recommendations on wine & cocktails. Food was AMAZING.... I had meatballs to start and chicken breast for main both courses were delicious.... my partner had squid to start and mushroom risotto with pan fried sea bass as an extra.... he actually approached the chefs afterwards to say thank you as he said it was simply delicious .... lovely afternoon/lunch visit and will be returning very very soon

Only visit Didsbury now and then and had been looking forward to lunch at our old favourite - Albert’s.

The well established Italian restaurant will always come good visit after visit . The food is very traditional but consistent whether one chooses pasta meat or fish . The wine selection is good and reasonably priced with some nice examples from unusual districts like Marche .The main drawback is the music which is both loud and distracting but may well be better tolerated by younger clientele. Good place to take friends and family . An intimate twosome ? I don’t think so

Dined at Gusto Didsbury today. Reasonable busy restaurant with a well priced lunch menu. Service was quite quick and presented well. A lunch of two courses for £12.95 with additional course for £3 extra. Pleased with the food selected which was cooked to perfection. Very happy with the experience and to recommend the venue. Very lose to public transport tho car parking nearby sometimes limited.

Our party of 8 enjoyed a Mothers day evening meal at Gustos amidst the hustle and bustle of this highly vibrant ,lovely decorated and yet very noisy pleasant restaurant , which although I don't personally particularity enjoy didn't seem to phase anybody else there and just added to the overall atmosphere of the place. The restaurant had obviously been packed all day long, but their tired and busy staff managed to serve us very well throughout the evening even though it was just as busy, catering for both adult and the children's needs. It provided a relaxed atmosphere which allows children to both eat and parents not be afraid of thier noise levels around them and also provide menu options for them to both eat and make with their own Pizzas. The menu has a full range of options and although they had run out of various options due to the volume of customers during the day I was surprised at how delicious the meatballs starters were that I eventually chose. We had a variety of food selections from the menu and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food , We had a very enjoyable evening and lovely Mothers day meal

Visited for Friday night dinner. Staff charming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Restaurant busy, lively and clean. Food and wine average for the price. I will probably try Gusto again in future.

Visited last Sunday and it was lovely. I had the roast lamb which was cooked perfect. The sides were amazing also, carbonara cauliflour was something else!! Wow.

I've been here plenty of times and that in itself is evidence that there's a lot of good about it, but on this occasion it was below par. We had the lunch menu which is good value. The celeriac soup with truffle oil was great, the meatballs tasty but a bit overcooked. The Winter vegetables in the pasta cream sauce were meagre at best, veggies are cheap enough don't skimp on them. Our server couldn't have been more disinterested if he'd tried, which he didn't. More miss than hit this time....

Mikey was fantastic! Super friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious and wine great! Would definitely recommend.

Habíamos estado en Jersey Boys en Manchester como parte del regalo de Navidad junto con. Comida en este establecimiento. Desafortunadamente, habíamos planeado usar el restaurante en Manchester, pero estaba lleno, así que viajamos a Didsbury y nos desilusionamos, aparte de un grupo muy ruidoso de muchachos en el límite.

The boss and I went for our usual Thursday lunch, he absolutely loves this restaurant and on reflection I should have listened to his menu knowledge.

Hubo una larga espera entre nosotros pidiendo bebidas y en realidad consiguiéndolas, ¡en un momento las bebidas se sentaron en el bar! Pedimos gnocchi como principal pero cuando salió era más de una porción de arranque que fue decepcionante. Los pudines fueron el salvamento de la noche con el pudín de toffee pegajoso y el brownie ordenó bajar muy bien. Probablemente lo intentaremos una vez más, pero si es lo mismo, iremos a otro lugar. El menú de la tarde ofrecía una buena variedad de opciones: el iniciador de hummus en pan plano estaba bien pero el pan muy crujiente. Los platos principales de ñoquis y bistec de coliflor eran excelentes, al igual que el desierto de arroz con leche. El personal bl muy eficiente y servicial con mi alergia poco. Lo recomendaría pero no es barato.

It has been two years since I last reviewed the Gusto, and since we come here relatively often, I thought I might give it a go again.

We had a lovely dinner in Gusto for family of five. Very calm relaxed environment, we all enjoyed our food and the service was efficient. Great coffee &Italian; food. Kids love hand-made pizza. Will definitely be returning soon! ThankYou!

Visited on a busy Friday night - so expected some delay in service but it was ridiculous. Waited days to have our first drinks order taken then another few weeks before the starters came, and so on and so on. We were a table of 7 women and we only managed to order 2 bottles of wine, over 3 hours - which demonstrates the lack of service and the staff's lack of interest in selling anything to us! There were very long waits between courses, one person's food was omitted from the order, no-one came to check that the food was ok, and we had to search around the restaurant to try and find someone to order desert from, which then of course took over half an hour to arrive. Our waiter spent a lot of time looking at his phone and chatting to other staff.....

The 50% off January sale is such a great offer and meant we could treat ourselves to three courses, including steak, for a very reasonable price. The quality of the food was excellent. Service was a little slow as the restaurant was so busy, but it was still with a smile and good attention to detail.

Arrived around 2pm for lunch, the restaurant wasn’t full, empty tables & the man on the door told us it would be a 20 minute wait, I had my 18 month old with me so I wasn’t prepared to wait. Asked if it could be any sooner and he replied ‘sorry were just getting ourselves sorted so will be 20 minutes’ absolutely appalling turning down custom when the restaurant wasn’t even full!!!!!!! Won’t be returning.

A friend bought me there as its on the Jan 50% off and to my surprise, food are above average and service is excellent. Child friendly, all the servers are professional, served with a smile and we are well taken care off. Well done to all the servers there.

First time visit on the Jan 50% off and it was excellent. Staff were all lovely especially matre de . had garlic petals were amazing and a huge pizza which we took half home. Definitely return loved the vibe of the place

we ordered the table for 5.45 and were running a few minutes late so telephoned to confirm this ..a chap answered and advised we would have to leave the table by 1900hrs ..oh its a birthday meal and we are on a time limit ….we were seated behind the till and refuse bin ...I asked to be re seated whereby we got a nice table

I dined here last night with my mum + sister, we were all impressed by the new makeover we think it looks gorgeous. We sat next to the window however I think if we were sat right in the middle it would be a little squished as the tables are opposite you on the other side of the wall. The food was excellent and came out piping hot, you can never fault the food. My sister was a little annoyed that they had taken her favourite dish off the menu the pasta salmon and pea dish. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

Booked this restaurant last night for my husband and daughter to celebrate my daughters new job, wish I had gone to a different restaurant on this occasion. The staff took forever to serve you and it took even longer for our meals to come out, we actually booked our meal for 5.30 and didn't leave till 8.30pm. The starters were tasty when you actually got them but the mains left a lot to be desired, the spaghetti carbonara was very bland and definitely wouldn't be ordered again to my daughters disappointment. When we ordered deserts as my daughter was starving we must have waited for well over 45 minutes, not sure if they forgot about the order. The tiramisu was extremely dry and untasty. The highlight was the Nutella Calzone which is all she eat. We asked if we could have a drink and again had to ask several times if the drinks were on its way. We asked another waiter who was cleaning the tables around us if he could order us a drink he said would get them but carried on cleaning the tables and laughing with another waiter. In the end my husband had to go to the bar to order our drinks himself, definitely not what you would expect to do. Most of the staff seemed to congregate around the reception, rather than serving people. A lot of people seemed to be in the same position. Would have to say this restaurant has gone down in my expectations. We eat out a lot at weekends and felt let down by the service provided.

Ignored by the lady who seats people for several minutes when we walked in (she had long straight black hair) eventually she led us to an awful table right at the back of the restaurant right outside the kitchen doors and towards the toilets. Several other empty tables in front of us which we asked if we could move to ( the one on front was of us was also set for 5 people) she just point blank said no we were not allowed. I did explain it was an anniversary dinner and we had booked weeks in advance thinking we would get a nice table but I guess we were not the right colour for this lady and she just said no.

I came for a quick lunch with my mum after a busy afternoon. We were walking past and thought we would share a pizza.

A romantic meal for 2 with lights, great food and lovley staff. The date was perfect and will definitely return

The restaurant was extremely loud but ... the service was attentive, efficient, the bartenders were confident/drinks were fantastic and it was a really friendly happy atmosphere from start to finish. Everything looked pristine and service was spot on. Good choice of menu/drink options with staff going out of their way to accommodate and even though it was very busy they kept it running like clockwork. Would definitely return.

Last visit was not so successful, but we spoke with Joanna the then manager and we were offered a discount to try again. So a now a few months later we tried again.

It was passion at first sight... the smell wafted past our noses, the warmth drew us in and Nic, armed with a cheeky grin and two huge menus, enticed my sister and I into the heaven of Gusto Didsbury. He answered our every beck and call including my sisters Gluten Free fussiness and my dislike of hot chillis, checked in after the food arrived and tempted us for dessert; unfortunately, due to the lack of GF warm gooey cakey options we were unable to take him up on this offer. All in all a great tea on a Tuesday night - great service from all the team, warm, cosy and delicious food at very reasonable prices :-)
