Went for a Birthday meal with friends had a lovely experience, nice friendly restaurant, got to sit in the conservatory. Very busy which was a good sign . Had lots of starters to share and cocktails , perfect night .

We came here for a family lunch on Saturday. The staff were really lovely, the food was absolutely appalling! The garlic butter served to my children as part of their starter (dough petals) was off!! The butter had a very strange smell to it and tasted bitter! God knows where it had been kept!! My husband had the lasagne…the lasagne sheets were so charred on the corners they were actually stuck together, the middle was hideously overcooked, the meat didn’t even have a meat texture to it..it was just mush. I had the rigatoni arrabbiata- the sauce had a very strange vinegar taste to it and the pasta was undercooked, not al dente, just horrendously undercooked! It’s really not a good sign when a so-called Italian restaurant can’t even get pasta right!! The chips (frozen) on the children’s menu weren’t too bad, my daughter’s burger wasn’t really a burger, it was just a ball of meat! It was as if we were given the leftovers from the night before. We all left feeling pretty ill.

Our waitress was lovely but the food was not. 3 Garlic prawns with not a sign of garlic butter. Lukewarm on a cold plate crab fettuccini quite dry with a few bits of crab. 3 of us had this dish and left half as it was so bad. The pizzas looked boring and very little on them.

Went here with an ex work colleague this week as I had been here before and enjoyed it. Drinks ordered with the friendly and efficient Alicia who attended us for most of the meal. Food was good, hot and flavoursome and the bill was very reasonable using my Platinum membership allowing me a 40% discount off food. Will be back!!

Stumbled upon Knutsford and Gusto on the way to Silverstone. The setting, atmosphere and food were all absolutely spot on! Potentially the best Italian food I have tasted - stunning! Roger, our waiter, was extremely knowledgable and friendly. We just loved it and will be back again on our way through to F1.

The food was authentic and delicious at this Italian restaurant. I loved the rich flavors but smaller portions of their dishes. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, but the music was too loud for my taste. The service was friendly, but not very attentive. It took a long time to get our orders and our bill. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, but I wish they would turn down the volume and speed up the service

We have been to Gusto this evening for my god-daughters birthday, we have been many times before . I hate to say the experience was terrible . Table was booked for 7-15 @ 7-35 still no table , Martin ( maybe manager ) took us to a table downstairs, not our original table , next to a draughty door and no atmosphere at all. Waited over 30 mins to order our drinks and another over 30 mins to get them , back up at the bar apparently. How hard is it to open 2 bottles of wine and make a mojito 🙄 40 mins to order food and we got our starters at 8-40. One server , lovley girl , very apologetic when we were paying but she was running downstairs basically single handed so couldn’t give her tables the service they should have had . When paying we asked to speak to the manager and have the service charge deducted. Martyn did not apologise only tried to blame us, his staff , the people who were at our table , trying to justify himself as according to him he had done everything he could , sorry Martyn you were totally out of order in the way you responded to our complaint, we didn’t want money off or anything free just a sincere apology which you didn’t give . Sad to say Gusto is now off our list of places to eat

Booked for the final night of the January 50% offer and invited family to join us. Lovely table towards the back of the restaurant and drinks served quickly whilst we perused the menus. We all had different starters and main courses and everything was tasty and plentiful. Service throughout by the efficient and friendly Juan who was attentive and professional and made the evening even better. We are regulars at the Leeds Gusto but this was just as good. Gracias Juan

We went for our anniversary, ellie was especially lovely, so friendly and helpful, she was going above and beyond checking we were having the best experience.

We visit gusto regularly & made the most of the January 50% off offer. It’s always friendly service & a good varied choice on the menu. The lovely aroma of garlic pizza bread always prompts me to order a side portion to satisfy the garlic craving. If you fancy a smaller meal, there’s the option of a small portion of the pasta dishes. It’s always busy with a pleasant buzz of activity giving it a nice atmosphere without being too loud. As a returning customer, the staff always pop over to say hello & welcome back. Great customer service & good food.

Came here for my 20th Birthday, the customer service felt as if they didn’t want us here, not greeted with a smile and every time we asked for a drink or requested something it was a short answer of yes no mannerism for a paying customer, when serving food it was just put in front of us no enjoy your meal and no questions of if we were in need of anything eg:more drinks/sauces. When ordering deserts we asked for 10 minutes for our food to settle and got told the kitchen is closing pressuring us to order now instead of relaxing, as well as telling the waiter it was my birthday there was nothing to celebrate, no happy birthday plate or drink or anything. It’s almost as if there was no care/recognition considering I work in hospitality myself this service was awful and I would not return or recommend to family/friends either. Very disappointing. As well as adding a service charge of 12.5% my opinion is that it should be 5 considering none of the team enjoy their jobs.

We celebrated my 51st birthday here Sophie our waitress was amazing from the minute we sat down to the minute we left she was friendly attentive professional and amazing, food was great would defiantly recommend

Went at 6.30pm for Gustos half price food offer. Previous meals we had there were tasty and great, service always good as it was that night. Gustos were you having a laugh this time? The only main meat course on the full menu available was a choice of only a sole chicken or pork dish. Our starters prawns and meatballs were rather tasteless. The limited (forced choice) of main was a luke warm, dry chicken breast cut in half sitting on some oily tomatoes and potatoes. Expressed our disatisfaction. Left main course uneaten and went home to cook something. Least the wine was tasty. What's happened to you Gusto Knutsford , so disappointed ??

The food has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisine so do not go if you fancy real Italian food. All the dishes we ordered had exactly the same ingredients: pulled pork and tomato sauce. Just fyi: I’m Italian and pulled pork is definitely not an Italian dish and definitely not a pizza topping. Lazy. Unauthentic. Incredibly overpriced. The waiting staff were nice although the venue is obviously understaffed.

Visited this week with a group of 5 friends. No welcome at the door. Service incredibly slow. Half an hour to take our order, and food did not arrive all at the same time. The food was delicious when it did arrive. After our first round of drinks, that was it. No one came back to offer subsequent drinks. After paying the bill, no staff to see us out, or say goodbye. We felt as though we were an inconvenience. We meet up at Gusto’s in Knutsford regularly, but this is our last time. It’s not the first time this has happened. A meal should be an occasion, and this was not.

Firstly the good parts. Service and ambience good. Had a lovely table in the conservatory. There was the a la carte menu to choose from or the Xmas lunch menu for £30. We chose the a La carte. Started with the calamari which was nearly all batter. I have had the dish before at Gusto but I’m not sure if it was cost cutting or they were short of ingredients but £9.50 for some scraps of batter seemed a bit steep to me. Never mind ordered the sea bass for mains. I don’t have a large appetite but even to me the offering looked a bit meagre however the main problem with the dish was the fish was so overcooked it was dry tough and rubbery with no flavour. Yes I could have complained but we were with friends and nobody came to check if our meals were ok until we had almost finished. My wife had the lasagne which was fine but again portion size was on the small size. We didn’t bother with puddings but an espresso coffee was fine. We go to Gusto 3 to 4 times a year. Would we return? I’m not sure …… I didn’t feel we got value for money on this occasion and there is plenty of others venues in Knutsford.

Family birthday and met up for celebratory meal. Great attmosphere. Food was very nice, plentyful and tasty. Kids meals were good value for money....clean plates by all of them. Highly recommend the bruschetta, could have eaten that all night!! we were sat towards the front of the restaurant near the windows, and good to see how many people walking pass were viewing the menu in the door. Was busy considering iit wasn't really peak time, but noticied lot of younger clientelle and couples, maybe out for some food then drinks in Knutsford. Typical restaurant priceson the drinks, and had a vairent for the spirits and wine. limnited on the beer option. Good to see they also cater for those liking a cocktail or three (like the females in our party). Would recommend this place, the staff were friendly.

I enjoyed my dinner here the other night. The service was great and my pizza was delicious with a side serve of cauliflower carbonara pasta. A nice place to eat.

Arriving at 6.15 we were shown to the best table in the rear of the restaurant.Service was efficient and friendly.The menu is extensive and offers both vegetarian and vegan options.My son had a generously sized pizza my wife the vegetarian risotto and i the ravioli.Both these dishes were nice though portion sizes modest.A highlight was the staff carrying monster trays with 4 or 5 serves.And as a Rewards member the pricing was modest

Service was good, food nice. Disappointed as I took my 2 children for lunch. They had margaritas. One wanted just chicken and ham added- £19 for one pizza. Not that much topping to be honest . I ordered the pepperoni from the menu with onions/ chillis / peppers but came just pepperoni nothing else. Genuine misunderstanding but I was charged more than the menu price to add pepperoni to a margarita. Very disappointed , didn’t bother to stay for dessert.

Great spot for lunch early dinner or later supper We booked later lunch, still a nice atmosphere, I wanted a different table to that offered and no trouble at all in choosing! Time to decide was appropriate, food arrived and time between courses was perfect. No waiting but no rushing just so relaxed. Lovely calming atmosphere. Staff very attentive but not pushy! And the food so tasty and beautifully presented. Desert wow I really wanted seconds 😃. Most certainly recommend.

I Came to my favourite place last night for a “first date” the guy decided not to show or even book a table after saying he did and they couldn’t accommodate me more, I had the best meal and service you can ever imagine the 2 young girls couldn’t do enough for me, there was a gent with piercings and the restaurant manager , I was never expecting what they did for me especially the girl who brought me my bill, I never got anyone’s names unfortunately , truly blessed to have such amazing staff work for you. Thank you guys so so much I appreciate everything, I will always return because the food and service has always been outstanding everytime I’ve come but last night they went above and beyond and I believe they deserve some praise and recognition. Will be back soon with my little girl x

Gusto is always a treat, and I find they are one of a handful of restaurants that can cook a really decent lasagne. Our lunch didn't start well, though, when lasagna wasn't available (to be replaced with a mediocre arrabiata), and despite only being 1/3 full, service was so painfully slow, we had to change our plans for the afternoon. The little niceties ("do you need more drinks?", "How is your food?" or "sorry for the delay, your food won't be long") simply didn't happen, and we felt quite let down by poor service, without any apologies. I'm sure this isn't typical of Gusto, and we've had many good meals here (and surely will in the future), but I think it would be a good idea for managers to refresh servers' minds of how the small courtesies and communications can make or break a dining experience. On this occasion, Gusto got it quite wrong, and I hope they can take this constructive criticism on board. We'll be back, but I don't think we would be too tolerant if this (hopefully one-off) experience was repeated. A bit more effort please Knutsford.

Hello, visited Knutsford Gusto last night and felt I should write a review to compliment the staff and chef. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and had quick service from the bar for drinks before we sat. We were able to put back the table booking by half an hour and when we were seated and food arrived it was so tasty, hot and presented so well. We have chateaubriand x 2 and lasagne. The waiter has worked there for 25 years and provided excellent friendly service to us aswell as another waiter who ensured my food allergy was dealt with, which is very important to me. Great relaxed atmosphere and great staff and chef. Highly recommend! 👍

Not impressed I have to say. Massively expensive for what it is. £19.95 for 5 pieces of scallop ravioli with little sauce. The salmon dish minimal. £38 for a bottle of Melbec which sells for £8 at our local supermarket. Mediocre service yet a service charge wacked on! Going home hungry and looking for a takeaway 😡

I’m a fan of TripAdvisor but this is a really a case of “ everyone’s experience is different “ … if I’d read these reviews I probably wouldn’t have gone to this restaurant… we have been several times in the past, we’re not locals but fly from Manchester regularly and will go the night before a flight. My son has been seriously unwell and his first trip out in some time would have been tonight with his girlfriend. Her train from London last night and this morning was cancelled. He was charged £10 per person to cancel the booking. This is the perfect policy to lose and upset customers. I have NEVER EVER been charged to cancel a booking. What a stupid idea.

Table was only ready 15 minutes after booking time, even though the table was free just after we arrived (girl at the front was too busy texting on her phone). We were sat down (15 minutes late) but then no-one served us for a further 15 minutes (for drinks)). Had to chase the food order which then came quickly but then no-one asked if we needed anything condiments (like paremsan). Don't blame individual staff but just poor experience overall.

This is one of my favourites in Knutsford without a doubt. Ben and his team always remember me from previous visits, which make me feel extra welcome. The dough petals are a must try, with other personal favourites including the duck main course and their classic Romesco salad! I love Gusto, especially the site in Knutsford.

The staff Bullied my daughter over my asking for the 20 per cent service charge to be removed, (as I had sent her with a cash tip). I had called earlier in the day to ask for it to be removed and staff made her feel very awkward asking why her mum had asked for it to be removed and if I knew the manager. It was her 15th birthday. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years and don’t agree with a service charge being automatically put on, especially not a 20% service charge on a mediocre meal with bad service.

Have eaten here several times and generally the food is very good and I have never had cause to complain. However on Saturday I attended birthday celebrations and requested the sea bass with spinach. I paid £13.50 for the the tinniest piece of sea bass possible the slice of lemon served with it was over half the size of the actual fish. I left the restaurant feeling very dissatisfied and extremely hungry. After raising this the following day with the restaurant I was informed their portions are weighted and verified upon delivery, despite sending a photograph of my meal it seems that there is no common sense approach to serving a meal that is allegedly the correct weight and measurements despite hardly being visible on the plate. Very disappointing.

We went for an early dinner last night and whilst the food was excellent as it always is, the Covid secure one way system was not managed and staff had no protective measures. It didn’t feel safe.

Popped in last minute as we had business in knutsford Staff were excellent ordered garlic bread and burgers for ease and garlic bread was exceptional as usual the burgers came and for £15.25 I was amazed at the size of the portion inc fries !!Yes we are in odd times but to increase profit margins to this extreme is abusing people ! I have no issues in prices but Gusto I might look at this as you might not have the door beaten down for 2nd visits

We visited knutsford a few years ago, and decided to try gusto when next in the area.The restaurant is lovely, if a little crowded. I decided to try the hummus starter which was lovely, and the main was tasty if a little on the on the small side.The only fault I can give is the staff. They are not particularly friendly and not very attentive.If you want repeat business, the staff need to reflect the food. Also the tables for my liking are a little tight, you are practically touching the table next to you. All in all the food was nice and the restaurant lovely but they need to teach the staff hospitality to warrant a repeat return.

My daughter and I went for a meal. We had the starter of chicken pate, very watery. I was quite upset, I was like whats the main meal gonna be like. I had bolognese it was awful, no flavour very bland. I actually left it, my daughter had the carbonara, which she said was rather thick. We was not asked if there was a problem, as we both left quite full plates. We paid at the counter was not asked if we had enjoyed our meal. Wont ge going again, poor atmosphere, terrible food, and staff that dont care.

We were also tabled downstairs but to be honest we weren’t that bothered with that as we could hear each other talking, upstairs was very very noisy. We ordered our food with a very brusque waitress, we gave her the benefit of the doubt the first time. The food arrived was almost dumped on the table. By this time we started to watch to see if she was ill or something, but the minute she walked behind the glass to the kitchen right next to us, her persona completely changed, like flicking a switch. We had a good night despite the grumpy, dismissive waitress. Food was lovely incidentally.Service let gusto down sadly.

Superb choice of delightful food and drink served by professional staff who really care! Extensive menu at reasonable prices. Live music Thursdays!

Ok so remember I am being picky here & I DEFO would return again. So heres the not so good....It was our first visit. We are moving to the area & we had heard good things about Gusto. We arrived about 10 mins late (we called up to apologise for this). We were seated downstairs. Which I'm sorry was not a patch on the upstairs! It lacked the atmosphere, the decor just wasnt as nice. Both my partner & I went upstairs to the loo & both commented how much nicer it was upstairs. But to be fair we had booked it fairly late & it was a busy night. But next time we will say upstairs only!We ordered a large wine for me! Sauvignon blanc. Very nice! My fiance ordered a drink but was told it wasnt available. Cant remember what it was but some kind of beer on the menu. We ordered food. Brushetta for him and steak. Lasagna with potatoes & veg for me. We asked for mustard to come out asap as it's his pet hate when we go out. Ask for mustard. It rarely ever comes so then we end up waiting whilst it gets fetched which Is never a quick thing lol. Meanwhile his tea getting cold. So the waiter said no probs he will bring mustard with the starter. He didnt! So I got another waiter to kindly bring it. He did - but it was the tiniest ramekin. So he brought out another tiny pot of mustard lol. Anyway...happydays my fella has his mustard! The food was all v good. Lasagna could of been twice the size lol & he could of had more chips on his plate but having never been here before we aren't used to your portion sizes! But food was really nice! On leaving I noticed how every table had candle on and rose petals!!! Nothing like that on ours!!!!The good....... the place (upstairs) was really beautiful. Would of loved to have eaten up there. Never mind. Loos nice too! Food ..... nice! Wine..... nice!Just spoilt it a bit being put on a table for 4 for the 2 of us. Valentines meal with no romantic touches lol!
