Really disappointed…. Food was an hour late and cold … items missing and ordered lamb and got chicken

Generous portion - the Tupperware was overflowing with food :) Delivery on time.

I want to send a photograph of my meal. The poppadoms were just a few broken bits in the bag, not enough to have made one poppadom. The main dish half empty. Half the sheekh kebab missing! Somebody has eaten most of this meal. I am not happy

Got the Khasiko Masu and it was so comforting and delicious and some rice and dhall. Always such great food and service.

Usually this restaurant is excellent. However, I ordered lamb momos and a lamb Madras and both tasted like the meat was off. Could not eat and had to throw the items away. I will give another chance but not ordering lamb again.

My delivery driver was such a lovely man and despite heavy traffic got my meal to me in perfect order. He is a cedit to this great establishment many thanks ...

Really disappointed, items delivered late (took over an hour ) and cold, missing items and also missing the “free” items for spending over £20. Ordered from this restaurant many times and it seems to be vastly different in both taste and service. Sorry, I don’t like leaving negative reviews but meal was a treat for valentines and just didn’t meet expectations at all.

Food arrived within estimated time, we ordered Lamb Momo’s, Chicken Sekuwa, Chicken Himalaya, plain rice, poppdom and chutney, we also received free Onion Bahji’s. Lamb Momo’s were absolutely delicious, I wish we had ordered two portions!, Chicken Sekuwa was moist although not spicy at all, only issue was the main dish, sauce was lovely although less tangy than previously ordered but the chicken was very dry, luckily there was enough sauce to help but that’s my only slight complaint. The onion bhaji were huge and you got three portions , we got these free with out order but for the price are well worth the money, we ordered popadoms and chutney but came with extra sauce too, overall 4/5, would of been 5/5 if chicken had been less dry with main dish.

Really lovely curry. My wife and I went for a veggie Gurkha's Revenge and WHOA! Hold on to your socks. Boy that was hot! A great accompaniment to a some sweet Peshwari Naan and Muttar Paneer. Loved it! Will definitely be using again.

DELICIOUS. STILL ONE OF THE BEST IN THE AREA, DESPITE INCRESING COMPETITION. KING PRAWNS PERFECTLY COOKED IN THEIR SHELLS TO PREVENT SHRINKAGE. SAUCES SUPERB. THE BEST PESHWARI NAAN I'VE HAD.

The Gurkha Revenge curry, as the name suggests there is nothing subtle about this tangy and punchy hot dish with red and green chillies lurking in a orange sauce with sliced garlic cloves for company. Excellent chilli heat with a long afterburn on the lips!

Very disappointing, we use Kathmandu Tandoori just about every week and have done for months and have always had amazing food, but the parathas were so dry this time, only about a third of the piece of each of them were edible and the curries were far from the usual quality we expect.

Very nice food, a cut above. I will order again from Kathmandu. My only small criticism is that the food could have been a little warmer.

The delivery time was spot on. The portion of the food was good size and the black lentil daal, lamb and chicken curry was yummy. Although, Bhutuwa was not dry fried with spices as I have imagined and looked like any other curry to me, but the taste was good. Would definitely order again.

Pulung ko saag was beautiful fresh spinach, light and healthy, biriani was beautifully spiced and a very generous portion. I love this place.

Best Nepalese cuisine in Twickenham! The food is fresh and delicious, no scrimping on delicious herbs and spices. I ordered the home style lamb curry and it was gorgeous, not at all greasy, did order some extra mint chutneybut only one pot arrived with my poppadum order along with the onion salad and mango chutney and perhaps the poppadums were a little stale. Rarely order from anywhere else.

Excellent food, always delivered on time and hot. The chef specialities are always worth trying and never disappoint. This is the best Indian in the area by far.

Extremely disappointing! Meat tough, sauces all the same. This is not an authentic Indian Food. Being regular in different Indian Restaurant this is one of the worst places. Food is watery, tastes the same, yellow bright sauce, lack of vegetables in both curries, meat cooking process is wrong meat dry and tough. We are happy for someone to pick up this order back! It is impossible to eat! I would not advise to order from this place!

I was disappointed that for the 2nd time of ordering lamb momo, there was no achaar sent. The food itself was lovely, otherwise. It did take 25 minutes from notification of it being on its way to actual arrival too, which made it late (by 20 mins).

The Gurkha is a weekly dining pleasure for me. I can't not have it in my life. The food is of the highest quality and the flavours are sensational. The staff are lovely people and create a wonderful, comfortable atmosphere. I recommend for anyone no matter your food preference to experience this amazing restaurant.

This restaurant is now called Kathmandu Tandoori. It's delicious. We've tried most of the Indian restaurants in Twickenham and this is our favorite. Especially enjoy the Momo starters (Nepalese dumplings) and the Nepali Curry which is light & fresh (a nice counterpoint to a lot of heavy, creamy curries). Also, check out their Banquet night on Sundays & Wednesdays. Definitely recommend, we always bring visitors here. Not sure how the other bad reviews have happened, maybe rugby days? We've only been on non-rugby days and it's great food.

This is the first time I had visited Kathmandu Tandoori/Gurkha’s Inn and I was pleasantly surprised!

Rest was cold, overcooked and in some cases cold and overcooked. Naan was ok, rest not so much. Service charge added without asking. Would not return.

Really nice change from the standard British Indian Restaurant dishes and spices/flavours. The Nepali vegetable dishes were lovely as was the chicken tikka. It was nice having rice with saffron as per persian restaurants rather than the usual offerings. The peshwari naan and parathas were also very good. Overall a nice takeaway. I will order from here again.

Newly reopened after a couple of weeks refresh the four of us had a great dinner over the bank holiday weekend. We tried a mixture of their Nepali specials ( Chicken Garlic Chili Masala & Lamb Gurkhas Revenge) with more standard dishes ( Chicken Tikka Masala). Everyone loved their choices and the ample portions made for a slow walk home ! Still friendly service and the legendary flock wallpaper remains too. All in all continues to be our friendship group’s number one choice in the area.

Visited on a Friday night, the food was good but the decor was very dated. The staff were reasonably attentive, On the whole an average night out.

We have been to this restaurant a number of times because we like the food, despite the decor being very dated and the service, very slow. Today, Mothering Sunday, we had a table booked for 2pm. I had reserved. We got there at 2pm (an hour after the restaurant 'should' open) and it was closed. We waited until 2.20pm, knocked a few times, called with just an answer machine available, before leaving and having to go elsewhere. They had my reservation and number on there so a call would have been handy to cancel for whatever reason they couldn't open. We ended up at a Nepalese on the same road, Panas and that will get our custom from now on.

I went 3 because they are so quick! Usually not a criticsm but sometimes you book a time for a reason (eg getting kids in bed, getting back from work) if it turns up 20 mins early it can be a prob. Pedantic I know. Food brill though and they always find our address even if it is a bit unclear. Would give 5 stars for delivery if you are at home and want your food quick (which most people do)

So, I guess when rugby is on they have the location, but as others wrote this is the best curry at twickers then the others must be ghastly. The mango chutney was so diluted that water was thicker and when we complained they blamed the supplier .. my biryani was like boil in the bag veggie rice with some chunks of meat chucked in. Really disappointed. We will NOT return.

Really friendly staff willing to change dishes to suit needs, great menu of Nepalese food and traditional Indian favourites . Visit on Thursday night this was the only Indian that had customers eating, again another very good sign. Very good portions, momos seemed very popular as a starter and the grilled meat as main courses were very well done. This was a group visit and everyone was extremely happy with the food, service and cost. this is my main recommendation for anyone in Twickenham who wants a outstanding curry.

Food did take over 1 hour but it was on a Saturday night. When it arrived it was worth the wait! Really lovely food, excellent - and we will definitely be ordering from here again.

Had enough of below par / crapshoot takeaway Indian deliveries so decided to venture out and have a sit in. Heard good things about this place but sadly our visit did not back the reviews up. Decent starters were followed by dreadfully insipid and tasteless main courses. Really bad experience unfortunately.

Great food, ordered off the house/chef specials, and tasted very ortentic! Wasn’t like any normal Indian where they all dishes taste the same! Was able to taste the spices and each dish tasted unique! Very pleased will defiantly be ordering again!

Excellent Nepalese food. This is an excellent Nepalese curry house. We have takeaways and visit the restaurant regularly. The food is never greasy and of high quality and a real variety of dishes. Can't recommend enough.

Vegetable moms were awful, bitter in taste. Food was late.they didn't bother to inform in advance that food will be late, which is really unprofessional . I have previously ordered from this place before, it used to be good. Stopped ordering because the food has arrived very late on number of occasions. They never bother to inform you. I ordered on a whim tonight, not only the delivery was late but the quality of food was very poor. Wont order from here again

Don't have any Nepalese restaurants where I live so made an impromptu visit here last Saturday before the evening Rugby. Service was very good, both waitresses were friendly and efficient. Food itself I thought was average. That said the Chicken Tikka that my daughter was very good (although they served the wrong portion size as I had asked for a starter size when in fact they served and charged for a full main size course). The mixed vegetable Haravara Mix was full of fresh vegetables but sadly lacked any real flavour. My husband ordered the Gurkha chicken and again found it lacking in flavour.

We regularly order from this restaurant as we think it does the best curry in South West London! Fantastic customer service too. They even know me by name when we go in to the restaurant. The starters are all a must try and I am also a big fan of the chicken Gurkha's Revenge curry. The free saag aloo when you order over £25 is great too.

Service was a little slow, to start with, but was friendly and welcoming. The food was pleasant and a little unusual. Worth a visit!

Best Indian/Nepalese restaurant in Twickenham. they only ever use enough oil to make it tasty, it’s never greasy like other places and is always cooked beautifully and they don’t skimp on using lovely spices again unlike other places. the dhall is so comforting and yum. the Dahi Lamb is really lovely and I like that they have unusual dishes if you’re an adventurous eater. plenty for vegetarians too! 5 stars!!!!

We had a friend to stay who fancied a curry and having looked at the menu we decided to give it a try. While we were the only people when we arrived it soon became much busier. The manager was attentive and had a good selection of beers of different strengths. The food was different from a standard curry( being Nepalese ) and was tasty and varied. The final bill was fine bearing how much food we had and how tasty it was. We will be coming back again

Have been a couple of times before. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I ordered lamb with spring onions and ginger . On the menu it said it would be semi dry. What does that conjure up in your mind. I ordered tarka dall for some moisture. The main course consisted of 6 or so bits of stewed lamb floating in about a half of pint of some red sauce. There were I must admit three shavings of ginger on top.. when the manager asked if everything was ok I said I was surprised at the food and asked to see the menu. I thought I had made a mistake. No mistake. The food was edible but what really annoyed me was this man then tried to justify the offering . He said something like semi dry means in a sauce . What! It was a gloop of liquid. I said it says spring onions. This bowl has none. Oh he replied we just sprinkle some on top. I can assure you that dish hadn’t been with a mile of spring onions. He then said if you wanted dry you should have ordered tandoori. Their menu is enormous offering all sorts of variants. In reality they have the 4 pots of any Indian restaurant. If you go just order the standard vindaloo or whatever, the rest on offer is just in the imagination of the menu writer. I want to like the place and it’s by no means the worst curry house in twickenham but I won’t be going back.

I dont like leaving bad reviews.. but i Ordered butter chicken and was very dissapointed.. what i got was definitely not a proper butter chicken.. rice was over fried to the point where it looked like it was left out for ages on the side and started going hard and stuck together. keema naan literally had no meat in it and was over cooked and dry... even the mint sauce wasnt mint sauce.. i phoned to find out if cucumber and onion raita was a mint sauce and the guy said it was.... It really wasnt. Onion baji’s over fried too. Unfortunately wont be ordering from here again.
