Order was incorrectly prepared and missing items

Used to go here every weekend if i couldnt be asked to cook at home. The food was great and the service was great also. But for 3 nights in a row i ordered from here the prices have gone up so high its cheaper to go the pub. The food arrives cold due my other point the driver clearly stops somewhere and has a smoke break cause it takes 2 hours for the order to get to my house. ANd theres no sorry why its late ect. No exuse for being busy cause past few weeks i have ordered from burger king and the order is at my house 40 mins after the payment was confirmed thats what good service is. I highly recommend deliveroo and use burger king or Mac&D if you live in surrey.

Ordered early friday evening. They got the driver to ring and say they did not have kofte or shish kebabs and would i have doner as a substitute. No i would not! asked them to cancel the order. The order then gets marked as out for delivery and eventually as delivered. when i ring and they say that something is wrong and they could not cancel and i would have to do it, my problem not theirs! Not a word of apology all along. Got the feeling they really couldn’t care less.

Ordered at 11.09pm, it is 00.41 am and still don’t have my order

Never got our food. Phone number wouldn’t work. Poor service. Took our money. Would never use again. Shame I didn’t read the other reviews before ordering

unfortunately this wasn't the best experience was over an hour late with no updates I couldn't get hold of the restaurant either and was cold on delivery chips overcooked and no sauce on burgers

I come here every year when I visit my family. This year it is run by boys who have no business in the Turkish Kebab businesses. Please bring back the food from years before. My portion was a large but give me kiddie size and not one chili or good salad. These people are from the wrong country to run this shop! Better open a curry house!

Order didn’t arrive even after multiple attempts to contact restaurant I got nowhere as they didn’t reply and the phone number doesn’t work

I ordered something at 4pm they said it will arrive at 510. Then it changed to 615. At 610 I got a call from the restaurant saying they had no lamb Shish and do I want to change my order. Why it took them 2 hrs to tell me this is unbelievable. I cancelled my order and had to order from elsewhere so the kids spent almost 3 hrs waiting to eat which isn’t on. The phone number is also private so there is no way to contact the restaurant either. I won’t order from here ever again and will not recommend

Pre-ordered for 17.15 now 18.35 and still has not turned up and your website is telling me to enjoy my food. Great

Delivery driver called me at 12:30, I couldn't understand him and then he hung up. assumed he was on his way. Waited an hour to find out from restaurarnt (after 2nd call!) that driver dropped off my food with someone else rather than me. an hour late, finally collected my cold food

Don't bother with home delivery - they have frequently 'lost' our order - leaving us to wait over 1.5 hrs for delivery. If you can collect - the food is excellent 👌🏼

Food was late despite pre-ordering and was cold on arrival. The salad was also missing from both kebabs. Bad weather was cited as the reason - there isn’t currently bad weather. Terrible experience.

Picked my mates up from a night out paid 12 quid for a lamb wrap and the meat was absolute garbage so was the wrap itself

Not only was the food late by 45 minutes. It was delivered covered in petrol so was totally inedible and had to be binned. Called the restaurant on the night and apart from an employee who called himself Ali, who placated the situation for a few days. It’s now 10 days later and I’m still without a refund. Ruined the one night in with misses who had been away on business for a week. Will not be ordering again. Awful customer service. Real shame.

Came in quite late, got a very warm welcome and had a good chat. Took home a very delicious kebab. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This is the 3rd time I've come here over the last couple years and it's always been a very pleasant experience. Cheers guys keep up the good work!

Arrived on time and was very tasty.

Would expect at least 4 pitta with the large mixed kabab not 2 ,that box should be for at least 4 people. Lamb was chewy and over cooked.

I waited a hour and half for my kebab wrap and cheesecake. When the food arrived there was hardly amy salad .no garlic mayo .the wrap was soggy .the cheesecake was warm when it arrived and the cream had curdled ..the worstes takeaway over ever had

Overcharges drunk people as they are not in the state to know if they are being scammed. Drink prices constantly fluctuating (one day a drink is 1.50 the next it's 1.80 the next £2, and then back again) - owner is an all round slime-ball and demands cash constantly, also becomes reluctant when allowing card transactions. Do not trust them or do business with these people they do not deserve your money

Never had bad food. Order direct from the website. Service 3* as once you order you have literally 0 time scale to know when your food may come, and it can be 15 mins or two hours as we have experienced!

This place should be closed down. They are scammers. I went in completely sober on a Tuesday night and asked for a kebab. They charged me £27 on the card!!! I noticed this on the receipt and asked for a refund..they said I had asked for 3 kebabs. I pointed out why they've only put one on the grill then. Got a refund anyway. Then the refund got cancelled. So had to go back with a burly mate a week later for a refund, which I did get after showing bank receipts, even then he tried to refuse, but I want having it. Complete thieves. Sickening to see the owners white E-class outside with the personal plates.

Very bad place don’t go there , they are not value for money they overcharge you and scam you into small portions and I’ve seen them take advantage of drunk people overcharging them as well , diamond kebab and king kebab are much better

I popped into Guildford from out of town on some work around 2am and got myself a chicken burger and chicken doner with chips. Saved me because I was starving! Great food, nice and hot! Friendly staff too, you just have to understand the cultural difference and mannerisms, English not being their first language that’s all, but they still speak it very well. I see a lot of negative feedback on the staff here and I see what they mean but they’re genuinely nice people.

If you can go somewhere else, do it. Everything in this place is disgusting: food, staff, vibe…

Inedible food, ordered through Just Eat, turned up both burnt and cold, and delivery driver was smoking while he delivered, not a pleasant meal, I won't be returning.

Literally the worst food I’ve ever had from a kebab shop. Also, their phone number doesn’t work. Funny that. Avoid this place at all costs, it really is terrible.

Don't eat from here, you order off the menu and when it's delivered half of its missing. When you go to get what you ordered they tell you the website is wrong and that's all you are getting. Staff are rude and don't care. Will never go back here, best thing that could happen is for this place to close down.

AVOID….. Thursday night ordered at 4:20pm and food still hadn’t arrived at 20 past 6. Phoned a couple of times and operator was very rude and dismissive. Told me his driver was in an accident so would be another half hour then waited another half hour. Disgusting service.

Went there yesterday night and the staff were Very agressive and screaming at people in the shop and wouldn't let people in or out.

Where do i even start? Staff is a bit rude when you talk to them, bought a large chicken doner, which was very questionable "proportion wise". I mean this was nowhere near worth a tenner!! And to top it off, got sick from it in the middle of the night and it takes quite a lot to make THIS stomach unsettled!!! Avoid like the plague folks!!!!

Worst Customer Service ever!! Rude and aggressive. After an hour and half waiting for my order, called the store several times, workers were so rude shouting at me, when all I wanted to know where my order was. He kept shouting saying that he didn't know where the order was. I could hear them all laughing and shouting in their language in the back. In the end, I had to go to pick up my order myself, when I got there, the driver and the worker were shouting. They did not even apologies and the food it was not nice, cold and burnt. Do not BUY food from here!! Shop was not clean at all!! NEVER EVER!! DISGUSTING!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE !!!! Honestly the worst kebab shop I’ve ever experienced. Walked in, wasn’t greeted , a poor young teenager had discovered her iPhone was tracked to the kebab shop and all she was receiving was abuse from the staff how it definitely isn’t here. After that three male star went on to talk amongst themselves, argue before we interrupt to try and get food. We look at the menu , I order small meat and chips my partner large, they charge us both large. They are rude when we are choosing salad/ sauce options. Asked us cash or card , we chose cash so they got the card machine out and added extra charge on top ? Good quality - where do I start. Chicken donor that taste like corned beef. Dry. Burnt. Wet chips. Mostly cold. Never again !

The delivery driver opens your delivery then adds a little extra to your meal. They're being investigated for it.

these people are a bunch of clowns, twice i have had to cancel, it states 25 to 40 minutes for delivery then when you order it says 1 hour and 30 minutes and the food is disgusting anyway, !!!

Food was half an hour late and cold. Called up, guy was already shouting at other people, told him we had pre ordered a few hours in advance and the food turned up late. He had a go at me for ordering because of where I lived, said if I didn’t like it, don’t order again, with a bit of other verbal. Hilarious stuff! Used to be a decent kebab, will not be ordering again.

Food was absolutely fine but the customer service on the other hand was awful!!!! Our food said delivered on just eat but we hadn't received it so when I rang up the shop to see where it was the man pretend he couldn't hear me and then laughed. Disgusting I only wanted to find out where my food was, won't be getting here again.

Over 2 hours late stone cold wouldn’t give it to a dog disgusting service don’t use it I’ve never done a review before but felt i had to do it to let people know use some where else their is plenty of good ones

2nd time ordered now and it was over an hour later than originally stated (so it took 2 hours). Stone cold. And the most shocking rude service when I called to ask how long it would in fact be. Judging by all the bad reviews similar I’m amazed they are running a business at all. Don’t bother.

Rude staff, late orders and disgusting cold food

No wonder the reviews are so bad. The bouncers are the most helpful lovely people and try and help but even with a ticket order the staff still get the order wrong. Missed off a halloumi side and I ordered 3 wraps and got pitta’s and the lamb was so chewy. Not much else to choose from as it’s the only kebab open for miles. They didn’t listen to the salad order as they served and the sauce at all and the bouncers even said.. no tell them again. 😂

The food was painfully average, but if the review was based on the food alone then this might scrape three stars. That being said, the staff of Charcoal Grill are what really brings this review to one star. The bloke working the till was arrogant and demeaning and extremely rude and decided to insult my friend and I at every opportunity.

Used to like this place but has gone downhill unfortunately. Ordered at 7.30pm and got delivered the wrong order half hour later. When realised, we called to explain and they assured someone will come to collect the wrong order and give us our food. One hour later we rang again as we were still waiting and the person on the phone was so rude, calling us liars as saying that the delivery driver already gave us our food when he didn't. We first try to explain calmly however this staff member was not bothered; his response was that there was nothing he could do as the driver said he got the right good redelivered already and that if we wanted we could complain to JustEat. So then we started an argument and even told this person that we could go to the take away in person to prove we still had the food that wasn't ours. In the end, the driver called us and apologised for the misunderstanding and brought the 2 wraps we ordered, shame they forgot to put the sauce we requested and that we ended up having dinner at 10.30pm due to all the issue... This episode and the inefficiency in sorting it plus the rudeness of the staff member, means we won't be ordering from here again.

Terrible service, incredibly overpriced food, the rude attitude of the staff was only matched by the immense gulf in difference and price.

Used to be good but now shamefully bad. Food arrived over an hour late, was cold, small portions/value, poor quality meat and WITH A HAIR IN THE kebab. An hour after I ordered I phoned up and was told that's because I'd "ordered for collection not delivery" - even when I pointed out I had the email confirmation in front of me showing 'delivery' he continued! Was also more expensive than the place I usually use. Avoid!

Basic Guildford address, cant find it

we ordered two meat and chips with onions,chillies and garlic sauce £20 it was , literally the most disgusting thing iv ever seen, it was inedible , rock hard meat and a few chips , wont even mention how long we waited for this rubbish,id of rather starved, so disappointing, this place has gone so down hill,should of never bothered wasting our money 😡

I ordered a donner wrap on its own and they charged me £9.60 despite their price sign saying it was £6 something. When I questioned them on it, they were incredibly rude and said this was a service charge however that’s pretty much a 40% service charge! The guy who I was told was running it then tossed me a £1 coin and said that was the best he could do and that the signs were outdated.

Ordered falafel wrap. Asked for extra halloumi. Cost 9.90. Asked what sauce I wanted. I asked for hummus but was refused as I hadn't paid for it. Outrageous pricing and service.
