Best chippy in Edinburgh for sure! And we've nearly tried everything on the menu with the amount of times we've ordered from here since discovering this place a few months ago. Even when food comes cold (with just eat you can usually expect it won't be the freshest when you get it) it still tastes incredible! Have yet to be disappointed with anything we've tried so far!

Staying local and fancied fish and chips but my son wanted pizza. Came across Guido’s whilst walking to Sainsburys to get pizza. Fish and chips was really good and my son said it’s the best pizza he’s ever had, crust was just crunchy enough! Overall the service was fast, food was good and the price was fair.

Chips were below par, soggy. greasy and left a horrible coating in my mouth. Maybe the fat needs changed? Or is it the toxic rape seed oil they use or what? Stay clear!

I placed an order. It read on my screen that it was delivered. It never turned up!! I tried twice to contact the restaurant. No one answered. I contacted Just Eat. Email saying we will contact you within 2 days. What good is that?!! Unbelievable!!

For a group of more than 3 people, they will give a surcharge of 10% of the spend. They don't bother to inform about it in advance. The stench of burnt oil throughout the establishment. No. Not here anymore!

Very poor service we received delivery with bag fully soaked and items leaked spoiling and cross contamination of items soo couldn’t eat any as mix of veggies and meat eaters. Provided pictures and still was told can’t get refund even though food was all ruined by the restaurants poor packing skills. Such an embarrassment business won’t last long like this.

Visited this restaurant as saw they offered plenty of food options and at a fantastic price. Placed an order online (which was very simple and easy to use their website). Arrived in store and was greated by a very friendly Scottish lady and was welcomed with arms. We ordered pizza, chips, burger, battered Mars bar, salad, BBQ ling rib, ice cream and even a lasagne. It was all high quality products used (especially in the burger) and very flavourful and tasty! 🍔🍕🍟🐟🍰🍫🍦 We really enjoyed the food here and the service was great as well. I would highly recommend buying food from this place. They offer a wide variety of food options and at affordable prices. Stopped here for the first time last night, and it was absolutely first class. I was hoping for chips, cheese and curry sauce and they have that as a meal so I was delighted! Friendly staff, quick service, and the food was delicious. We are in Leith for a couple of weeks, so will hopefully be back before we leave! 10/10 recommend ⭐⭐

Shocking place - they have robbed me of £12 of food. The "manager" blamed Uber. He was unable to help me get another meal. Uber delivery driver dumped my order in a different street. I did message the driver, yet he ignored. Meanwhile I'm going hungry. Guidos should be advising Uber drivers where to deliver. It's quite clear Guidos couldn't give a monkies as long as they are getting income. AVOID THE BUSINESS COMPLETELY.

Just treated myself to a lovely wee tea here at Guido's. The restaurant is very clean. The service was polite, courteous, friendly and very attentive. I ordered fishcakes that came with chips and side salad and a portion of onion rings. It didn't take long for the food to arrive and it was lovely, the portion size was great too. Will definitely be back, thank you.

I'll give it 1 star because the person who delivered it was very polite, the food actually looked good but people put the food in my mouth I almost got sick from so much pepper, I like pepper but the way it came it's hard to believe that anyone can eat food that made me feel short of breath, I threw it all away because I can't eat it, PLEASE REPORT ON IFOOD THAT THAT FOOD CONTAINS PEPPER WITH A VERY VERY STRONG FLAVOR, I still can't believe it that someone can eat.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Guido’s and their fish and chips did not disappoint! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Guido’s is a lovely place. The fish & chips was delicious and fresh. We also ordered the scampi which was delicious too. The portions were pretty generous. The service was excellent. We loved the place! Definitely a 5 star restaurant!

Got a takeaway of a large fish and chips with a side of curry sauce. The absolute worst supper I’ve ever had, complete waste of money. The portion of chips was practically non-existent, the fish was sodden and disgustingly greasy despite me living less than a minutes walk away from the shop. The curry sauce had very obviously been watered down and it lacked any flavour. Binned the entire order and will never set foot in the establishment nor will I be recommending it to anyone.

Not impressed with the food here. Small fish for kids was all batter with barely any fish inside. £2,80 for a kids ‘fake’ Fruit Shoot is an absolute p take! The steak pie tasted dreadful, the pastry had a very odd taste which I really couldn’t eat. The portions were not generous as some other reviewers have stated. £36 for two kids meals and a pie and chips is a joke! Looking forward to finding a decent chippy in Leith but won’t be returning here sadly despite great staff. Food just not up to scratch and totally overpriced.

I came out of this “restaurant “ angry. The food was poor but prices were high. Asked for ketchup and they failed to tell me there was a secret charge . The seat cushions were not clean. The floor had food remains on it. The bill was incorrect and they say they automatically add 10% tip because we had more than 3 people . I just left after paying because I didn’t want to cause a scene . Considering my experience and the face that I paid more money than a normal fish and chip shop for a bad experience I think that it’s unreasonable to add a secret service charge. You should tell customers about add on prices so they can make a decision if they want it. £22 pounds for battered sausage, halumi fries and a Diet Coke ?This is the UK You all get at least minimum to living wage. I feel like I’ve been scammed. It’s important to tell a customer of each cost . Everyone in my group had additional support needs too and it’s not fair to take advantage of that.

Hands down the best Fish and Chips in Edinburgh! The portions are large, the ingredients are super fresh and the service is excellent. Always get a good interaction with them that brightens my mood. For anyone trying to make a list of food places to visit you should definitely put this one on your list and make a day of visiting Leith when you’re already there!

Poor quality of food- just tasteless and i had hardly any fish just batter in my supper.

quality would have been great!.... if the pizza wasn't squashed half folded to one side of the box during transit. must have been a while like that as part of the crust was soaked through red and flavoured from the sauce.

Worst fish supper I’ve ever tasted

Good scran when (when it’s open) owner charges you extra for a large portion of chips if that’s all you buy at that visit with an extra portion of side with a hefty reduction in your sauce. If you buy a large chips alongside 2 fish suppers you get the free masons handshake and best wishers to your mother. Good scran still

The best fish and chips have had in a long time

I ordered through the Just Eat app and have never had an issue with Guidos before. I ordered a pizza Spaccanapoli for me, a kids sausage amd chips for my 12 year old and my wife wanted King Rib. The order was placed at approx. 9:30pm and we were initially told it would arrive at 10:12pm. The order eventually arrived at 10:26pm after watching the cyclist pass our house a number of times. When we unwrapped the food my pizza was cold, the king rib was stuck to the wrapper and the batter didn’t come off. Worse still, my daughter’s kids meal had about 7 chips and the sausage had what looked to be a bite out of it.
