This place is normally the only place we order from but haven't had it for a few weeks cos we're trying to stop takeaways. However tonight's was nowhere near on par as usual. We ordered half noodles, chips,curry and gravy with meat on the top (our usual) but only got TWO chips. I rang to ask where the chips where to be told we didn't order chips with it, when I said we had otherwise I wouldn't be ringing, a voice in the background, which sounded like the owner said she'd put the chips in herself???? We were offered FREE HALF PORTION of chips next time. There won't be a next time.!!!!

Ordered through just eat twice. On both occasions they waited until the food was due for delivery then were unable to process my order.. I will never order from them again.

Excellent! We are visiting the area so we took a chance on this take away. We are so glad we did, the food was hot and very tasty. Best Chinese food we have eaten for a long time!

Gwan can cook is disgusting hair in food and wen contacted you get abuse and the phone put down on you I was up all night throwing up needs closing down !!!

I always order my chinese from them, although the delivery time take slightly longer now but their foods are really nice. Salt & pepper chicken and BBQ ribs are the best!

Best Chinese takeaway in Hartlepool. Good, hot food, fast delivery and courteous staff. Far better than most establishments in Hartlepool, this has become our 'go-to' for a takeaway, and I would highly recommend the mixed starters and the honey and chilli chicken

Whilst the food is good the experience hasn't been great. The young girl taking your order seems to always have a cold, coughing and spluttering often handling your food. Another occasion I witnessed some of my order being dropped on the floor (yes, still frozen) and when questioned, the girl responded, quite surprisingly, that it's within regulations that as long as the food is not on the floor for more than 8 seconds this is acceptable. Needless to say I reported this to the local food standards agency regulated by HBC and it transpires that there is no such regulation. Thus, your food should never be on the floor - not if they expect you to consume it anyway. And further to your reply i did see - should keep the door closed.

It was bang average and the clerk was quite annoying, when I walked in she burped the alphabet. She seemed to also have friends on a call that I could hear and seemed to be playing up to them.

Best Chinese in Hartlepool, however, your never open, you need to get your lazy buts in gear, coz I crave your delish food and majority of the time you don’t provide, on top of this, I can never order on just eat so I can’t pay on card, do you really think I can pay by cash all the time, your answer is no I’m skint. Did I mention, that I can’t order on just eat cause you pulled the plug, can you tell I’m fuming quan !!!!

Prices and delivery got worse used you for over 5 years sometimes 3 times a week no more now

Food wasn’t up to much and the level of service was shocking, The owner of the shop was just dancing and listening to music while I was looking at the menu and then spoke with a attitude when taking my order will never be ordering again

Ordered food at 17:50 was due to come at 18:50, still did not receive food until 22:00 after multiple phone calls to the shop for then the phone to be put down on me multiple times. To be called a liar for apparently recieving the food but had not. Then had to go to the shop to get called a liar again and for the delivery drivers to point blank lie about delivering the food to myself. At this point me and my house mate, did not want the food but clearly wouldn't get our £30 money back. We also got followed back to our house by the Manager to check the area out and to make sure that no one else was in the house that may have collected the order from the delivery driver. I will not be visiting this shop again as the food quite frankly was awful and I will be letting me friends and family know not to be a customer at this rude shop.

Ordered food at at 19.17 and was told an hour.. rang back at 20.35 and was told just waiting for driver to come back and would be here. Rang back at 21.05 to be told just waiting for driver to come back. Asked how long would be and said at least another half hour.. cancelled order and ordered from another chinese. Absolutely starving and not waiting nearly 2 and half hours for food to be delivered from 5 mins away

Just had a meal from here what can i say, reading the glowing reviews have they had a off night? Never again for me or my friends

love chinese food and have to say this is about the best chinese in Hartlepool. usualy try different dishes and all have an amazing flavour and you can see your food being cooked great chinese

i have had a few meals out of guan can cook they are lovely and they are not that expensive. the staff are nice and the delivery driver is very friendly. always as a smile on is face

Eat from here 2/3 times a week. Fantastic food and as tasty as can be.Can't recommend it high enough. 11/10

I have tried the food from this takeaway many times. It gets better and better every time. The chef has great talent and the food he produces is fantastic. Highly recommended.
