Young girl is very rude on the phone has no manners at all food is very nice though

Great take away food. Love the noodles, the curry sauce, chips and shredded chilli chicken. Not sure about the taste and texture of the chicken in other dishes though.

By far my favourite Chinese takeaway I have ever been to. Great value for money and amazing food. The staff are great and the service is always fast and friendly.

This has always been my favourite Chinese restaurant. Ordered a takeaway to be delivered 18.10pm tilold delivery would be 45 mins. At 1915 rang and they said it was just leaving. We received at 7.45 the chips were cold the chow mein was luke warm same with chicken fried rice and also the curry sauce. I complained the Chinese lady that answered the phone argued that the food was not cold. This meal cost £20 I was really disappointed her attitude was appalling she said she would send driver back and give me the money back. After ordering this food at 18 10 eating it after having to re heat it all and best of all very little chicken on the 2 dishes. Will never use this Chinese again and yet we have always loved it !!!!!!!!!!

I ordered special omelette chips and curry for delivery, and it arrived in 20 minutes, which is what I called super speedy service.

Use to come here all the time but it seems to have gone down hill as I got 2 special currys one with rice one with chips the curry sauce was runny and the chips had been heated up that many times thier were thrown in the bin rice cold and not much in the curry itself so won't be going back

Phone up to order my food they give me good quality customer service Food was amazing The young lady who helped me was great I live on the otheside of town as well I didn't have cash on me so the took bank transfer at the front door Thank you again I'll will be ordering again 😊👍🥠🍜

We only order from this restaurant. The food is fabulous my husband and I both work 12 hour shifts and if we order a meal it’s amazing always. Food arrives hot and fresh always! Real chips! We ordered some spring rolls tonight and they were crispy and hot too! Delivered fast. Thank you xxxx

I placed an order with Golden Chois yesterday 27/4/21, we ordered an mixed dish of curry, rice and noodles, a special chow mein, chicken wings in chilli salt and 2 pancake rolls. I placed the order at 20:03 and it arrived 58 minutes later, when we came to open the food my wife's mixed dish had jellified and it had went cold, the special chow mein tasted burnt and was warm, the chicken wings well they were just fried in batter, no chilli salt and were that overcooked I could of sold them to the Army to use as armoured piercing bullets they were that hard. I waited until the following day to report the issue as I was tired and a bit peed off so I called into the shop to try and sort and the Chinese lady I spoke to apparently did not speak good English all of a sudden but perfect on the phone, I was told to call this evening and speak to the gent who took the order in which I did finding out that the gent didn't work this evening when I called. I spoke to another lady who noted my concerns and spoke to the other staff who just said I should of reported this yesterday and they can't do nothing about it as they would not know what I had ordered, although it was a delivery and they should hold the delivery receipt as a paper trail, so all I got was an apology and I hope you still use our Chinese in the future.So no reimbursement, no offer of a replacement meal.Please check your food when you get it and complain ASAP as their customer follow up is not so good, also be aware if you do complain it could take another hour for delivery.

Tried for the 1st time on Sat as our usual chinese was closed, we weren't disappointed collected our order everything was piping hot , Real chips , tasty king prawns in the curry & chicken fried rice lovely , curry not as nice as our usual chinese , but would still come back again thank you .

Ordered takeaway at 6:15pm to be delivered for 7:30, called them 7:50 to ask how long it would be they informed it will be here by 8,30 over two hours after ordering. I should have read reviews before hand, my fault.

Just had take away from here for lunch at work, must say not very nice. Had a beef fried rice and felt like the rice had been warmed up from last night, don't think i will be trying there again.

Excellent range of meals all cooked well. Never disappointed with food from this place. Rate them in the top three in the area.

I have used this take away for many years and the food and service was always first class the delivery was fast for a Saturday night but the food didn’t even come close to the high quality we used to get we as a family who enjoy Chinese cuisine were left totally disappointed I don’t know if it’s changed ownership little to say we won’t be ordering again from this establishment

Well here is my review for the Golden Choi’s After a lot of debate I decided to try this takeaway.All I can say is after trying probably all the Chinese Takeaways in Hartlepool I have to say this is the best by far.We visited this place on on the 4th January 2019 and placed an order.I could see into the kitchen and watched the chef prepare my food.The kitchen was very clean as were the guys who prepared my food.After getting home and trying the special curry I can state for a fact it’s the best I have had to date.Fantastic food guys I will be coming back.

Food was nice it's just a shame that it took 1hr 40minutes to arrive.. After ringing them 4 times and each time being told the food was on its way, which obviously was a total lie,the food arrived, luke warm.I'd just advise anyone who fancies a Chinese from this place to collect it rather than pay for delivery because you will wait forever. Sadly for us we'll never use this place again, hence my low score.

We love this Chinese Take away. The chips are the absolute BEST! Easy enough to ring ahead and collect as well as them delivering.

Visited here whilst staying at caravan site. Don’t deliver so drove and was worth it. Reasonably priced and food was lovely!!

Just had a delivery of burnt ribs from this dump, tried complaining and I was told they are supposed to be burnt, I've eaten ribs in lots of different countries from China, Vietnam many times, Dubai and many different restaurants in the UK and I've never been served burnt ribs, next time I will call the coal man for a bag of coal not happy

Well very tasty, but lacking chicken in hubbies curry and definitely lacking prawn in my curry but will give another try. ..only one 😆😆

Best Chinese take away in town. Their curry is actually curry not that curry tasting water you get everywhere else. Its spicey to be warned. Food is always hot when it comes and usually get free prawn crackers too...

Best chips in town! Old school fried chips, excellent curry, delicious noodles (Not too greasy) and very good shredded chilli chicken. I would heartily recommend this Chinese, we use it every two weeks. Delivery is really fast is you order early but the later you order it understandably takes longer. Good food. Great value.

we always go here we love there pork curry and chips.its been in Burbank street for years a lot of people don't no it's there please give it a try . there curry is spicey but nice. recommended .

By chance a care worker told me about Golden Choi's and I soon tried out the menu. Not to be missed by anyone who enjoys freshly cooked Chinese fayre. Very good indeed.

Golden Choi's is our favourite Chinese in the town. Had loads of the dishes and never been disappointed!
