We came here again as soon as the lockdown was over, enjoying distanced company, with cups of tea and cake. This cafe is always popular. No wonder, with the delicious smells coming from the kitchen, jolly faces of John and his companion. As soon as we go back from Tier 3 onto Tier 2, we'll be back!

This cafe is situated in one of the most beautiful parks, thanks to Friends of Weston and other horticultural groups. . There are tables and chairs outside the cafe together with parasols in case of sun - which we had on our latest visit. The food is tasty, freshly prepared, and the coffee just great. John Horler was there - it was lovely to see him still doing his bit in the cafe. My companion had egg & bacon sandwich with salad. I had cheese salad. Later we had ice cream, so huge that we could hardly finish it! All very reasonable prices, too. And we sat in full view of the glorious Victorian bandstand. What more could you wanton a lovely sunny day!

We came here for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday in the lovely sunshine and were extra pleased to see there was a big band playing on the gorgeous refurbished Victorian bandstand. We had jacket potato with cheese and salad. Very nice and so cheap, about £4 each! We had tea and coffee which were also very reasonable. After a while we decided to have ice cream. Plenty of that to choose from! It was an idyllic afternoon with the food, music and beautiful surroundings. Well done, John Horler and his team at the cafe. (John also books the bands!).

Before the negative... there is a lovely selection of ice creams, lollies etc and soft drinks. We didn’t eat but the food look well prepared. However the tea we ordered was weak and the hot chocolate wasn’t much better! A shame really as it’s in a lovely spot.

I called in today for a baked potato with chilli and a soft drink at lunchtime and the hosts were chatty and pleasant, the meal quickly cooked and the menu varied and competitively priced. The cafe is open march to October and is in a lovely park. There is outside seating too.

A group of us stopped for a lovely ice cream and a sit in the sun, while out for a walk. Super little cafe and very helpful staff when one of our party had a fall.

This cafe is situated in Grove Park and run by John Horler who also organises music concerts on the beautiful Victorian bandstand every Sunday throughout the summer months. The cafe serves delightful food and wonderful tea, coffee and snacks. Prices are very reasonable and sometimes cheap. Seating is provided inside and outside the cafe. This situation has to be one of the loveliest small parks in England.

A great place to sit and have your breakfast in the warm sunshine. A small family run cafe which serves good homely food. Every Sunday during the summer bands play from the Victorian bandstand which gives the place a buzz. If you are ever visiting the park drop in and have a bite to eat.

A pretty little cafe in a lovely tranquil setting. There was a good selection of hot food to choose from and the paninis my husband and I had were delicious and good value. The service from good and the tables clean and tidy. I could not fault it. The hanging baskets were amazing and I can imagine that it is great to visit when the band is playing.

Visited for lunch before doing some shopping. High street very close so great news. Service was much slower than I have experienced in the past but as it was a nice day was not an issue for us. Had the Bacon and Sausage bap which was VERY tasty and greatly enjoyed by both myself and my wife. Coffee was good and pot of tea was also good, would be nice to have a small pot of hot water along side

This is probably not the right way to give an opinion, but I visited the Park last year with friends, it was a lovely sunny day, the sun umbrellas we out and we had a lovely simple lunch. I've just read that metal shutters are not permitted. What utter rubbish. If vandals had their way this cafe building would fall into complete dereliction in no time. Then so much for a listed building. Have some sence let the owner fix shutters at night, so everyone, not just vandals can enjoy what I did last year. Good luck with your request and I hope someone on the Council/Planning will see sense.

This cafe is situated in one of the most gorgeous parks in England! The cafe has tables inside, but most people choose to sit outside in the generous seating on offer where the newly refurbished Victorian bandstand is in full view. The tea, coffee, cakes and food are really of a very high standard and reasonably priced. It is a family-run business with all that implies, i.e. good-humoured service and a lovely atmosphere. Cannot recommend highly enough. And now that Weston in Bloom has been hard at work, this park is something to see!

Our local poetry group met in Grove Park Cafe, sat in the lovely sunshine, and soaked up the ambience. We noticed that the gorgeous bandstand is well on its way to being repaired and it was great to see the green and gold paint again peering through the scaffolding. John Horler who runs the cafe is a perfect gentleman, always remembers my name. The tea is delicious and the home-made cakes a delight. We had two rounds of each! The proper meals are also really delicious, good value and generous portions. Grove Park is the jewel in the crown of Weston-super-Mare with live concerts every Sunday afternoon. Marvellous, beautiful place indeed!

Visited today as there was a band concert in Grove Park. Food was averagely priced but mediocre. I had a Steak and mushroom Baguette, the steak was chewy and flavourless, the mushrooms were unpalatable. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and was served a dry burger without cheese (that was ordered, and with no salad or sauces. When we asked about this, we were rudely told this is what she had ordered and no changes could be made, after a short argument the member of staff did relent and took back the burger to add a piece of cheese (still no salad or sauces). Staff were rude and unwilling to make minor changes to a menu dish (my autistic son wanted lettuce in his baguette - they refused saying he's have to have the side salad). In the cafe there were no Caffeine Free Sugar Free Drinks except for water. My wife ordered a baguette and was tersely told there would be a 20 minute wait and it would be brought out to her, after 30 minutes she went back to the counter to ask where it was only to be told someone had shouted "Chicken baguette" from the cafe door, and upon no reply the already paid for food was binned. Note that there was a concert band playing not 30 yards from the door, and we were sat 10 yards from it. The staff had clearly said they would bring the food to us, and had clearly been told where we were sat when it was ordered. When asked for replacement they refused and set off on a tirade about how they couldn't cope with the number of customers today (despite them partially organising the concert in the park to help boost business) they then with no good grace refunded the money and told my wife to get out!!We won't be returning to the horrendously rude establishment. Service was badly reminiscent of Fawlty Towers,

We sat outside here for lunch. We both had a very good cheese plough mans lunch and a coke and it came to just over £9.00. Very good value as the food was very good, service was good and the setting in the park in the sunshine was beautiful. Very peaceful lunch away from the bustle of the sea front.

We had a snack lunch and then, after our walk, a savoury tea. Service was excellent and the food tasty and well presented, the tea especially appreciated after our hike. Back in the car park, my wife bought an ice cream from the Tea Rooms' kiosk and then left her walking poles leaning against the wall (!) when we drove off. We discovered this when we got home and phoned the Tea Rooms. Without hesitating, David offered to go and see if the poles were still there - which they were - and then have them ready when we were able to return to pick them up during the following week. Exceptional service from a kind and thoughtful proprietor. Many, many thanks for your kindness.

On the spur of the moment we took our dog for a walk near the White Hart Inn and popped in for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely little touches like treats on the bar. We both had the pork belly with black pudding mash, which was excellent.
