I’ve been to GROM many many times and I have very looking to go tonight and show this place to my friends. They were no flavour and even when we asked they say “we don’t have” no panna either. We ask which flavour is nut free as our friend has a very strong allergy to nuts, the server recommend chocolate/hazelnut like wtf??? We laugh and run. I will never go back to this place 👎 + the place looked very dirty and messy

Appalling. I’ve had Grom ice cream in Italy, so was excited to see a branch in Piccadilly. It was dreadful. There were just 4 flavours on offer, all bland, and absolutely every shelf in the shop was empty. One server was on his phone the whole time, with another two chatting, with one actually serving customers. We sat by the kitchen which was a mess and clearly dirty with equipment dumped on the work surface. We had to clear the rubbish on the bench as no server bothered. The ice cream was grainy and pretty tasteless. Overpriced rubbish.

When Grom first opened a few years ago, I remembered it from France and was so excited to get a cone that I didn't care it was November! I went back recently with friends and it has sadly changed for the worse. We visited later in the evening, so it might be different earlier in the day - but the shop was an absolute state. All the stands were empty with nothing else to buy. Lots of the menu was covered up with badly placed stickers - it looked an absolute state. They also had so, so few flavours and really frustratingly the flavours available didn't match up with what we could see near the tubs. The shop has always been small but it was not nice this time. The gelato itself was fine, and staff were also ok, but the atmosphere was terrible. We'll definitely go elsewhere in future - what was once a really lovely place is now sadly a tourist trap like much of the Piccadilly area.

Delusion! This Is not Grom, not mfor italiano standard. The shop Is almost empty (there are not biscuits...). The cocholate flavour was finished, so the hot chocolate. Just four or five flavours available. The ice cream Is always good, but the shop is uncleaned. The waste Is all toghether.

After experiencing Grom in Rome, we’d been looking forward to trying the London branch for a while. We love the at-home option sold in Waitrose. On arriving, there was a short queue out the door, and a further internal queue around the central counter inside. One queue was to order and pay, the second was to collect. There were only six gelatos listed on the board, however a sign clearly says that if they run out of anything, they will ‘quickly whip up’ another batch. We queued for ten minutes to pay for our order, and another 15mins to collect. However, when we were about five people away from collecting, one of the people behind the counter came out and took down one of the flavours. After returning to take another few orders, he then came out to take down another two flavours. A couple of people asked when more would be available and he said it wouldn’t. The only flavours left were tirimisu, coffee, and candied peel… none of which I liked. When we explained they just offered a refund. We had been the queues a total of nearly half an hour at this point and were so disappointed that they were not able to fulfil their promise of making more. Six other people in the queue also got refunds, however this didn’t stop them continuing to take orders. It’ll be a long time until we get back to Grom, and even then, I’m not sure whether I would bother.

What happened? Absolutely filthy inside, rubbish all over the floor, ice cream and toppings spread over every surface available. Half the items sold out and then some more not available. No care and no hygiene. Avoid till they get a manager who gives any care for the customers and doesn't want to poison them.
