The place was normal. However, the food was a horror show. We ordered Caesar salad. The chicken was burnt, the sauce was tasteless and the crouton seemed to be from the last century. It really was a very bad experience

Unfortunately, it's gone downhill. It was once my favourite place to eat out. But my last visit. Was very disappointing. Small portions. The fish was dry and had no taste.i will not be returning 😒.

Very bad service, food arrived after 45mins after informing that we ordered more than 30mins. Food quality not good quality. Would not recommend, especially the fish. If known would not have gone, only reason was to feed our kids

If you’re looking for an American diner breakfast experience, this is a good restaurant to visit! The waitress was very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was a peaceful place to start my morning. My only complaint would be that the food was a little messy and inconsistent, particularly that the baked beans were extremely hot, and that the eggs weren’t very presentable. Apart from that, I had a nice time here!

The waiter got my food wrong twice even after we told her we wanted vegetarian she brought back vegan pizza after WE TOLD HER TWICE. Then when I went home I did diarrhoea. And the the pizza wasn’t actual cheese it was burnt.

Kid friendly diner with the classic diner atmosphere. We stopped here mostly out of convenience and urgency to feed our 3yr old. It was very close to one of the stops for the Big Bus tours. Staff was very friendly but lacking overall - so service was spread thin. Nonetheless our waiter was very nice. Food was decent but not astounding. The drinks were delicious. They had a classic kid's menu - my son enjoyed his chicken nuggets. Fish n chips was 4/5; chicken burger was good but lacking sauce (dry). Bathroom is in the basement so need good mobility to get there - my son had to go 3 times and it was quite a workout. Stroller was left at entrance while we ate - no issues.

Enjoyed meal ,then had problem when came to pay as we had a voucher on line which they were reluctant to except, then only after we had left realised they had added a service charge without informing us . Dont think we will be eating at Frankie and Bennys again

Voor een American style dinner kan je hier prima terecht. Ze zijn nog tot laat open en de bediening is erg vriendelijk. Eten is prima, niet super speciaal maar wel lekker.

I haven’t eaten such bad food in a long time. Burgers were dry and bland. We had 4 kids and their food was dreadful. Even the macaroni cheese was cold and tasteless. How can a chain get this bad? We spent £100 on terrible food. Places like this should not exist in central london! But unfortunately the management doesn’t care as they live off tourism. DO NOT EAT HERE

I really enjoyed the restaurant and the food selection. They definitely have some options that are more unique to London that you can’t find at other restaurants. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t all that great very slow and they failed to get some of my items right but overall not too bad!wouldn’t advise getting the Caesar salad. The chicken has no flavor but the jacket potatoes were absolutely amazing! It is a nice comfy area to enjoy me out, especially with all the crowds in the surrounding area if you need a break.

I dont know this place got so many positive feedbacks. They managed to serve me a well done burger! Looked like a burger that was made hours before, re-heated. And not even salted. Oh, and the milkshake had more milk than ice cream. Thank you but im never going back.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WAIT 1 HOUR FOR YOUR MEAL!!!!!!!!I went to this place to dine in with my two siblings under the age of 14. At first, when we got there at 5:20 p.m.They were quite welcoming to us at the entrance. As soon as we got seated,we requested our drinks, which came in about 5 minutes. We ordered two large juices and one kid's drink. The Kids Drink came with an offer for a refill for 50 pence,which I got for my youngest sibling. When I requested another drink for my sibling, the staff acted like they were too busy to bring a refill drink for a kid. We waited another 5 minutes to get the kidsrefill.Then, after about 20 minutes, they provided us with our starter, but after that, the experience started to become unpleasant. The staff became unattentive. People who came after us got their meal before we did, and when I asked the staff about our meal, they ignored my request. I quote the numerous staff members I asked said, 'The food will be here soon', which soon turned into a wait of 1 hour and 5 minutes, to be exact. After numerous complaints to staff, one of them was kind enough to request for a manager to come and attend to me. The manager finally came and apologized and offered to provide me with a 50 percent discount for the inconvenience. At that point I lost my appetite as I just didn't enjoy the atmosphere anymore and the food looked like it was prepared forcefully. If you are going there, go at your own risk and have enough time to wait; if not, don't bother because there are plenty of other restaurants that will acknowledge your presence as a customer and be apologetic for the delay in food.

One of the best places to get breakfast in central London. Excellent service from a very attentive waitress. Food was good quality and the size of The Big One breakfast was impressive, very good value for money.

Food wise, the chicken burger was nice, but the fries had a strange taste to them. I have had many chips/fries and these were the first I couldn't eat, also not terribly well presented. My desert was a massive waffle, this looked appetising but unfortunately it was soggy. Not freshly cooked just heated up. Also the toilets were far from a pleasant experience. At £33 I found this poor value for money. Overall disappointed.

Lovely food and considering how busy it was, service was reasonably quick. Have to give it a low score on atmosphere as tables are so close together, the staff can barely squeeze between them. Felt very claustrophic.

The food was absolute garbage. My pasta was stone cold and the coleslaw from my friend’s dish legitimately tasted like glue. It’s like something I would use to torture my worst enemy.

We went there for lunch, we really appreciated the welcome and the general atmosphere. The service was satisfactory despite a slightly long wait when we were alone in the restaurant. Very good value for money (starter menu + main course £13.90). The dishes were good but the carbonnaras pasta was too peppery for our taste. We recommend.

Great experience, would have been 5 star if the main course was not served while one of our party was still eating their starter, they were not a slow eater. Good size portions and quality of food.

Came for lunch and was seated straight away. Orders were taken quickly and food came out in about 20 minutes. In my opinion the food could have done with cooking a few minutes more but was still tasty.

Maria Conceicao was very attentive and food was served very quick and was delicious! We also had dessert - best Frankie & Benny's location!

First time here and opted to have the Frankie's feaster and an ice cream milkshake, both of which I enjoyed. I do think the portions should have been a bit more for the price, but otherwise an enjoyable experience

Milkshake seemed to have no ice cream in it and a bowl of two scoops of ice cream filled one tablespoon. Over eight pounds was too much to pay for so little.

The Carbonara was excellent and so was the service! "Purple Rain" drink was a little sweet for my personal taste but it was good as well.

Starter and Main course came at the same time. Pasta was lukewarm, side dish (skin on fries) came on the same plate as the Chicken and pasta. Not as good as it has been in the past

Walking around London at 10pm, when most places have closed, we find Frankie and Benny's. The steak was amazing. It was cooked medium well and you can taste the grilled flavor which made a difference. The Chicken Parm was very good also and the cheesy garlic bread. But most of all, Conchita our server was very friendly, helpful, and personable. I would definitely eat here again. God bless.

Had breakfast here on Sunday, April 28. Loved our waitress!! Had porridge, avo toast with poached eggs and beans on the side. 2 cups of strong flat white. Everything was perfect, especially our waitress 🥰

An American style diner. We were looking for a place to have lunch and didn't have much time. Googled "diners near me" and found this place. Atmosphere is great and service was also great. Food portions were small and tasted ok. Buttermilk chicken sandwich had very few chips, but the chicken was cooked well and tasted good.

These guys really made our nite: they served very quickly so we could get to the show in time! Thank you!

I found the food was not that good and the cost was pricey given the standard of food on this occasion. We had fish and chips, it was one of the worst fish n chips I’ve had in a restaurant. The fish was mostly batter the fish was grey and the batter was hard. Other meals in our group seemed better however. The service was quite good and attentive.

The team was really friendly and kind, the food and the drinks were super delicious. If we are back in London we would totally eat here again.

Sobre todo fue extremadamente agradable el servicio. Aunque haya bastante gente, te sientan rápidamente y te atienden lo antes posible. A pleasant restaurant very close to several hotels, therefore located in a strategic location. The food was good, also in price (taking into account that it is located in the center). Above all, the service was extremely pleasant. Even if there are a lot of people, they seat you quickly and serve you as soon as possible. The employees are very attentive and create a fun atmosphere, it makes you want to come back.

The company stopped serving the fried onions and gherkins in there burgers throughout their stores in the U.K. The texture and flavour of the burgers is excellent though - but the salad is terrible. The included Sauce is OK The excellent soft drinks are a treat because they are super cold and super fizzy. Staff cannot speak much English but they are very friendly and polite.

Food was ok, service good, but only going to give two stars as they ask for a tip which is unacceptable in Europe.

Visited yesterday great meal Just one gripe the service charge nothing mentioned as far could see on menu.my sister and cousin gave some but feel we were over charged on this. Please make it clearer in future thanks . Slight annoyed guest doubt I'll go back but don't expect any apology from you!

Poor effort on the food front, very expensive for what it was (Chicken Parmigiana) had hardly any cheese on top. Was served within 10 mins so wondered how freshly cooked it was. Cocktail was nice enough. Server was ok, didn't seem impressed I didn't tip though, had to ask how to get rid of the option on the card terminal as she handed it to me with how much I wanted to leave. Won't be rushing back.

I regularly host groups of 50 to 100 students in London and feeding a large group of hungry teenagers on a budget is always a challenge. I have been using Frankie and Benny's on the Strand for quite some time now and, quite simply, it is the best place to bring big school groups for dinner in town. Rather remarkably, the faces of the friendly, welcoming team has stayed the same since we brought our first group here in 2018. Kamal, Joana and Rui are a pleasure to deal with and never mind when we have to make last-minute changes to the group size or alter our menu choices. And management are really accommodating when we need to change the dates or arrange a meal at short notice. The service for groups is first-class - Isabella, Conchita, Lina, Balint, Atta and Daniel always take great care of the kids and are very attentive to dietary requirements. The restaurant is spacious, immaculately clean and ideally located for London's theatres and museums. The menu choices are simple and perfect for school kids - full of things they actually enjoy eating - and the food is tasty and arrives very quickly. Crucially, the portions are really generous and represent great value for money; something which is very hard to find in London these days. I thoroughly recommend Frankie & Benny's on the Strand to anyone looking to give their school group a delicious and memorable dining experience at a fair price.

Fantastic place to eat, suitable for local theatre visits. First time visiting this chain, found friendly service and great food in a convenient location. So we came back the next night!

After a whole day of walking, we entered this place to sit down for a quiet dinner. The food was correct, we can't fault it but we can't rave about it either.

The New York Calzone pizza is delicious and this is the first time I've seen them serve tomato... passata separately in a cup. IT'S SO CONVENIENT! Dip the edges of the pizza into this cup and finish it)

I went to eat with a friend and the shop assistants were very unpleasant to us, it took them a long time to take our orders and when we went to pay they yelled at us because a pound was old, something that my friend and I did not know since we are not from the city, they refused to accept it and told us to go to a bank to change it, a tremendously ridiculous suggestion when it came to a single pound. As for the food, we ordered a pizza that for the price (13 pounds, about 15 euros) was quite small and left a lot to be desired in terms of the quality of the ingredients. In fact, to be more specific, “mozzarella” was a normal cheese that would probably be the cheapest in the supermarket. I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy.

Once we had been seated we were informed by the waitress that the kitchen was about to close so we would have to order quickly, which I would understand if we had just walked in but not great considering that I had booked ahead of time. The starters and mains were tasty. We really enjoyed the sticky chicken wings and the salmon was well grilled, although due to the kitchen closing everything was served at the same time. The sides were disappointing – chips that we ended up not eating as they were dry from being fried long ago and "cheesy basil mash" that was solid and was neither cheesy nor basil-y. We felt very rushed to finish our food, and to top it off the card machine was brought over while we were still actively eating. The food was mostly enjoyable, and would probably be perfect during busy periods where it does not sit around, but being rushed put a dampener on the whole experience. I would recommend not booking too close to the closing time as the slots provided on the website do not take into consideration that 15 minutes is not long enough to order, eat, and pay.

The food was great but our highlight was Conchita, she was amazing - friendly, kind, quick, even made us laugh so much and recommended the best dessert! Next time I visit, I hope to see her again.

Staff gave off the vibe that they couldn’t care less! We were ignored until we went to leave then someone jogged over. They were so busy having conversations to care about bringing us our food that sat on the counter and was cold by the time it came over. Some of the staff members stank of cigarettes and genuinely would avoid like the plague. Not worth it. Some of these other reviews honestly surprise me cause not an ounce of personality in the place. Oh and the QR codes don’t work which seems ridiculous

Great location for a family meal before the theatre. Staff were incredibly welcoming. It was very busy, but we didn't notice that in the service. Food was quite varied. There was something for everyone.
