Grill & Bake in Newport

Great mixed kebab with chicken and lamb shish and chicken and lamb doner. Served with mixed salad or salad of your choice and garlic and chilli sauce. This is a takeaway shop only!

I’ve used the Grill and Bake for probably 20 years, and in the last few weeks it’s painful to place an order and when it’s wrong it’s so .., I’ve bigged this place u for years but obviously that doesn’t matter . Now my money will go elsewhere!!!!

Said order was ready at 15:20, showed up at 15:25 and still had to wait til 15:40 to get the food. Everywhere in the shop and on menu says you get an extra pizza every time you order a larger size. Ordered via just eat and they said they're not doing it via just eat, that they dislike just eat and it's not their problem even though it does not state anywhere that this does not apply on justeat. The food is good and I have been coming here for years, but they have bad communication.

I ordered a meal with my family waited 4 and a half hours for my meal then when the food came the burger wasnt cooked and the pizza tasted like washing up liquid

We order a meal, two of the meals was not right so I rang them up to tell them. THEY CALLED ME A LAIR TO CONTINUE ARUGE WITH ME. They tried to charge me £9:80 for two chips and 2 drinks and that should come with meal deals.

was out for delivery around 455pm according to app, didn't arrive till 530pm and arrived cold. not the best I've had from there

I order from grill and bake regularly and never have any problems but tonight the chicken was still pink.

Ordered before they were open, order didn't come until well over 5pm. Which made it taste slightly cold and the driver looked like he was rushing... Can't always be helped but I've ordered 4 times in the last week and this one wasn't so great

I probably won't order here again. the food did not look fresh. the cabbage had blackness to it. I couldn't eat all of mine because I had to pick stuff out. the chips were over cooked. such a Shane I had higher hopes.

Ordered for the family because we had long day, and it was too late to cook. Food was late, cold, sweaty and greasy. It has a weird off flavour, and it's gone in the bin. What a waste of money £45.94. First and last time I'll order from here. The food really is terrible.

Ordered a large kebab box and it arrived without sauce, £15 worth of food which I can’t eat because it’s dry without sauce. I also called after placing the order on the website to advise of sauce and salad but didn’t come with any at all

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and there wasn’t hardly any on there. The garlic baguette was burnt it was black. I rang and they sent another pizza and garlic baguette out. The second pizza was worse than the first. All burned around the outside and soggy in the middle. Ordered and collected in store for 3 people. Staff fully understood the order, even if it was somewhat confusing. Food was served hot and tasty by the time we returned home.

Food arrived warm, which is bare minimum I guess. Garlic sauce was more a chickpea and cucumber tasting mealy substance. Chilli sauce was more of a smear of moist chillies. Hot wings were not hot. Dry and cold and hard. Never again. No idea why they got the award for best kebab shop in wales. Threw most of it away. Waste of £25

2nd time ordering from here. Absolutely beautiful food. Our new favourite place. Definitely recommend

I ordered a takeaway from Grill & Bake. I had a spicy beef pizza but fortunately there was no sign of ANY BEEF eventhough I paid for an extra portion of spicy beef. Very disappointed. In fact feel a bit ripped off!

Food was delayed later than original estimated time given, but was notified. When food did arrive, it arrived at end of new estimated time and was barely luke warm. Never had this issue before

The food was cold and the lamb was really tough couldn’t bite through it. Very disappointing to say it cost me 32.00

Absolutely appalling food. I am completely gobsmacked by the disgusting state of my food. Was throwing my guts up after eating that bile. The staff were lovely and very friendly though and was a pleasure ordering.

Got delivered the wrong food to start with, called them and was told the correct food would be sent out and that we had to return the food originally delivered. We made the swap, ate our food and a few hours go by to which we are greeted with what I can only describe as a police knock at the door around 12:30am, it was a worker from the restaurant with a receipt in his hand asking me to pay the correct amount as it was not collected by the delivery driver. The whole thing was a bit of a sham.

Enjoyed a great kebab from here..service was great with a bright and upcoming your lad cutting the meat fresh from the kebab cooking as it rotates.. ..Super quick cutting with the sharp knife. Probably the faster cutter of kebab in Newport .This place is very busy so expect to wait a few minutes as your food is cooked and prepared....

eaten from here loads of times never a problem but with this order i found a cut elastic band in my food and was instantly put off.

Out standing keebab soft meat all salad,mam had burger best ever.

Been using grill for over 3 years Order turned up incorrect, second time in asany weeks, rang to ask for them to fix, was asked "we didn't read the order notes, what you want us to do, we're not redoing your order" we will send what's missing out but we're busy, missing stuff turned up but food was cold, I'm going back to family kebab.... They don't care about the customers or pay attention to what you order

I ordered a small and a large kebab meat and chips but 2 small kebab meat and chips were sent. Also I asked for the burger to be plain in the requests and it came with cheese on it.

It was alright. Good place to go for some late-night meat. Food was alright and did have a few stomach issues in the middle of the night but nothing too off-putting. Ordered a large mix of kebab with all salad and chilli/garlic on top. Friendly staff. Good portions and it's cash only.

I ordered on line, a burger meal however there is no option to add salad or sauce so the burger was very dry. They need to update their website to be able to add these as options. I won’t order again online until they sort this out.

I always order from grill and bake, they deliver top service. Food is always tasty and hot when it arrives. Delivery drivers are friendly, can’t fault them. 10 out of 10 every time!
