I always order my kebabs from here and never had a problem, always quick delivery and great tasting food. On this occasion very disappointed in food, garlic mayo tasted awful with bitter taste and far to much of it was put on kebab, and horrible green colour. Lamb donner meat didn't taste good either, also notes that were added were ignored. Sorry guys but seriously let down this time, couldn't eat it.

Best Shish kebabs ever - we have tired other restaurants but none come even close to Grill and Bake - the chicken is succulent and the salad is fresh and generous. We will keep coming back - great work G&B!

Dreadful is an understatement, everything was cold, wings were dry, greasy and not even spicy. How this place is the best in Newport is beyond me

First time having food from here after some great recommendations, they weren't wrong. Had a chicken shish wrap. Chicken cooked perfectly well, salad lovely and fresh and the wrap baked to perfection. Wasn't drowning in sauce, just the right amount. I'd say it was the best I've had. Definitely eating from here again.

Found an eyelash embedded in the coleslaw 🤢. Good thing i was paying attention and had just a few bites before finding it. Binned the rest. Waste of money. Such a shame because the overall taste of the food was actually alright.

Don’t bother writing a note they don’t listen. Asked them to not ring buzzer or either of my bells and to just text when here. Rang all 3 while being loud on the phone to someone and woke my baby up instead.

Chips were not freshly cooked as they were soggy which suggest that they were leftovers from a previous order. Pizza wasn’t brilliant as the dough also seemed soggy. Will be a long time before we order again

Grabbed a takeaway from here on the first night we moved to Newport, we were not disappointed by the claim of the best kebab house in Wales 2024! We ordered the special mixed grill which tasted amazing, succulent & moreish! Im a big eater so I ate most of it but it was enough for 2 to share. Service was quick & we have been back several times since with no drop in the quality of the food or service. If you're a fan of donner & need it to be halal then you have to try this place out!

I have always order from here all the time. I ordered for delivery at 4.30pm has an email confirmation at 4.35pm to say that my order will be will me approx 60 mins. Almost two hours later it arrived.

This used to be 1 of the best kebab shops around the last couple of meals have been awful..ad meat and chips last night the meat looked like it as been microwaved it was shrivelled up and dry.

Great mixed kebab with chicken and lamb shish and chicken and lamb doner. Served with mixed salad or salad of your choice and garlic and chilli sauce. This is a takeaway shop only!

£36 for 2 kebabs and a kids meal. Ordered large kebabs and they are the smallest I've ever seen! And to top it off it was the driest burnt meat I've ever had!

Took two hours came freezing cold would like a refund please

I’ve used the Grill and Bake for probably 20 years, and in the last few weeks it’s painful to place an order and when it’s wrong it’s so .., I’ve bigged this place u for years but obviously that doesn’t matter . Now my money will go elsewhere!!!!

I was doing my wife in the dirt box when food arrived

Said order was ready at 15:20, showed up at 15:25 and still had to wait til 15:40 to get the food. Everywhere in the shop and on menu says you get an extra pizza every time you order a larger size. Ordered via just eat and they said they're not doing it via just eat, that they dislike just eat and it's not their problem even though it does not state anywhere that this does not apply on justeat. The food is good and I have been coming here for years, but they have bad communication.

We order a meal, two of the meals was not right so I rang them up to tell them. THEY CALLED ME A LAIR TO CONTINUE ARUGE WITH ME. They tried to charge me £9:80 for two chips and 2 drinks and that should come with meal deals.

Ordered before they were open, order didn't come until well over 5pm. Which made it taste slightly cold and the driver looked like he was rushing... Can't always be helped but I've ordered 4 times in the last week and this one wasn't so great

I probably won't order here again. the food did not look fresh. the cabbage had blackness to it. I couldn't eat all of mine because I had to pick stuff out. the chips were over cooked. such a Shane I had higher hopes.

Ordered for the family because we had long day, and it was too late to cook. Food was late, cold, sweaty and greasy. It has a weird off flavour, and it's gone in the bin. What a waste of money £45.94. First and last time I'll order from here. The food really is terrible.

Ordered a large kebab box and it arrived without sauce, £15 worth of food which I can’t eat because it’s dry without sauce. I also called after placing the order on the website to advise of sauce and salad but didn’t come with any at all

I rang and they sent another pizza and garlic baguette out. The second pizza was worse than the first. All burned around the outside and soggy in the middle. Food arrived warm, which is bare minimum I guess. Garlic sauce was more a chickpea and cucumber tasting mealy substance. Chilli sauce was more of a smear of moist chillies. Hot wings were not hot. Dry and cold and hard. Never again. No idea why they got the award for best kebab shop in wales. Threw most of it away. Waste of £25

I ordered a takeaway from Grill & Bake. I had a spicy beef pizza but fortunately there was no sign of ANY BEEF eventhough I paid for an extra portion of spicy beef. Very disappointed. In fact feel a bit ripped off!

Food was delayed later than original estimated time given, but was notified. When food did arrive, it arrived at end of new estimated time and was barely luke warm. Never had this issue before

Absolutely appalling food. I am completely gobsmacked by the disgusting state of my food. Was throwing my guts up after eating that bile. The staff were lovely and very friendly though and was a pleasure ordering.

Got delivered the wrong food to start with, called them and was told the correct food would be sent out and that we had to return the food originally delivered. We made the swap, ate our food and a few hours go by to which we are greeted with what I can only describe as a police knock at the door around 12:30am, it was a worker from the restaurant with a receipt in his hand asking me to pay the correct amount as it was not collected by the delivery driver. The whole thing was a bit of a sham.

Enjoyed a great kebab from here..service was great with a bright and upcoming your lad cutting the meat fresh from the kebab cooking as it rotates.. ..Super quick cutting with the sharp knife. Probably the faster cutter of kebab in Newport .This place is very busy so expect to wait a few minutes as your food is cooked and prepared....
