Greyfriars Bar in Perth & Kinross

Just opened last Thursday so small teething problems but I'm sure it will be a great little bar as the staff were very attentive. The upstairs lounge looks great btw. Will visit again when back down.

A restaurant and hotel with a nice location to discover St Andrew’s. We have some sharing plate, big portions. The wine was not so good but quite average. The service is nice and we were served very quickly.

Probably lovely but their hours on Google are not kept up to date, said open Sunday and wasn’t, so be prepared to change plans.

Having moved last year to Perth from south uk we chanced upon this bar. What a delight it is. Friendly staff, owner is as big as a Viking, and everyone is always singing, excellent.

Great wee pub with a good atmosphere. Doesn't take a big crowd to give it a buzz. Lovely pint of Guiness too.

Cute Scottish pub. Owners/staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. Good for a relaxed drink during the week or a fun night at the weekend. Draws in a nice crowd too. Very friendly and local. Try going on their live music nights! That was fun.

Great little bar, very friendly to us tourists who just popped in for a couple, served booze. Good atmosphere - and a bit of live music from the barman! What's not to like?

Nice friendly people great place for a drink

This is a small very tidy well stocked bar with a very welcoming bar man. Only popped in because it is small and old which we like to visit when visiting different places. We enjoyed it that much we went back the next day. If anyone is visiting Perth this bar is well worth a visit you will not be disappointed one bit.

Siempre visite el Bar Greyfriars cuando visitemos Perth. El personal del bar es muy amable y conocedor cuando se trata de servir bebidas. También encontramos que los precios del alcohol son razonables. La zona del bar es bastante pequeña pero cómoda. Esto se suma a la atmósfera que te importa. Lo único negativo fue la música rock pesada que provenía de la máquina de discos. ¿Por qué no estaba en buena forma, el temido manflu?

I found this a great wee place to relax with my crossword and a beer. They have open music nights upstairs mid week. A Thursday I think. The only drawback I found is that they have strange opening hours which are obviously designed to work around their quiet times. Best check their website if you intend to visit.

Great wee bar. Always have a good range of beers on tap. Sometimes music. Not in the slightest pretentious or hipster!

Wir hatten Glück, dass wir ohne Reservierung eine. Platz bekommen haben. Trotz der vielen Gäste war der Service schnell und sehr freundlich. Unser Essen war super lecker und wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch auf jeden Fall wieder dort essen.

Este lugar cumplía la mayoría de las casillas para nosotros, ya que habíamos leído las otras críticas y estuvo a la altura de un gran ambiente y un personal amable. Mi padre está deshabilitado y usa un marco de zimmer y el único inconveniente fue que los baños subían una escalera empinada para él. Los usé y estoy en buen estado y encontré la escalera empinada. Sin embargo, a partir de eso todo lo demás no nos podemos quejar. Estacionamos temporalmente afuera para dejar que mi papá y yo saliéramos y luego mi esposo fuimos a estacionar en otro lugar. La entrada no tenía escalones que se ajustaran perfectamente a nuestras necesidades y el personal fue muy servicial e incluso trajo a mi papá a la mesa una vez que se instaló. Nada era demasiado molesto. El lugar es un pub tradicional, pero a diferencia de algunos lugares modernos, tiene un ambiente, tanto que usted no quiere irse. A un precio razonable para un pub del centro de la ciudad. En general, la pasamos muy bien y la próxima vez nos quedaremos a comer algo.

Imagina mi decepción la próxima vez que visité el domingo a las 6 p. metro. para deleitarse con unas cuantas cervezas reales y decirles que cerraron a las 6 No importa en la lista para una futura visita.

Friendly staff and good Real Ales

We have frequented this pub several time, it is very small, twenty customers and the place is "buzzing". The atmosphere is snug and friendly and the jukebox plays some good golden oldies.

Visited here with a group of golfing friends from Fife and Dundee. The barmaid was very friendly and welcoming. Pub was quiet around lunchtime but when we returned later in the afternoon it was much busier and there was a great atmosphere. Excellent selection of beers and spirits and a free jukebox.

After a nice walk around Perth we came across greyfriars. We were made very welcome and advised that the jukebox was free so pick your music! Enjoyable drink, service and company at this quaint establishment

Stopped in St Andrews for a quick lunch, and Greyfriars was the spot of choice. Welcomed into the bar area, ordered two ginger beers, and sat down for food. Waitress was very nice, took our lunch order for a haddock and chips and a scampi and chips. Both arrived shortly after, piping hot, and very tasty. Couldn't ask more from a seafood-and-chips order. Batters were light, tasty, and not gooey, as you sometimes get. and when we needed to head out, bill was ready pronto. Very good service. Thanx.

This is a small cosy howff, in the centre, close to the river. It serves the best kept real ale in the city (not much competition!) from4 founts.

Nice cozy bar. Drinks a bit pricey for the type of bar and the limited ales on draught. You could catch some folk music here but if you think its a quiet wee bar where u can have a private chat think again. You can hear everybody elses conversation so the loudest always wins.

We popped into Greyfriars for a drink after dinner. It is popular. It was crowded. I can't say it was anything special but it is a pleasant, traditional pub with a reasonable offering of beers. Well worth going to.

Great wee place at the top end of The Fair City for a drink or three, something to eat and great atmosphere where you can chat to all sorts of interesting people from just about anywhere in the world. Greyfriars is a great live music venue too having the good fortune to have played there myself. Perth is a wonderful place to find wee gems like this but it's no wonder the tourists flock to The Greyfriars

Great little pub. Went there when singer Steve Rose was there. He was very good. The whole pub was singing to his songs. Has lots of atmosphere! !

Steve Rose from West Yorkshire sang here on Saturday night. The place was buzzing all night. It's only a small (tiny) size bar but can pack quite a few people in it. Steve's son who now lives locally, used to sing in a Take That Tribute band. He sang a song and rocked it! Just one of the best nights I've had for a long time.

Called in around lunchtime for a drink well kept local with a range of beers and largers. Enjoyed the local Scottish ales with that extra bite to the bitter cask. Comfortable seating and friendly service from the bar staff,

This popular small bar is opposite the Salutation hotel in south st and has great selection of well chosen beers including Timothy taylor landlord,friendly bar staff and regulars.It also feature regular music nights.

This little pub has always been a favourite of mine and no visit to Perth would complete without a pint or two in the wee bar! It has an excellent if limited selection of beers - mostly Scottish and has plenty of character. My only reservation would be that on my last visit just before Christmas, the juke box was too loud and although the staff did turn it down a bit my wife was not happy so we left. I did return later in the week and it as OK - so I stayed for 2 beers! Don't miss it.

We were very warmly greeted by the lovely bar lady. Very chatty and friendly and we were invited to use the free jukebox. The place is spotless and is a real gem. Pity we weren’t around for the open mic night, would have gifting a go.

Popped in here for a few drinks with my wife and my Father in law whilst visiting Perth for the weekend. Good choice of beers and a lovely pint of Tennent's lager. Very friendly staff and customers. A small but perfectly formed bar, clean and tidy with TV's showing the sport and a free Juke box with 100's of songs to choose from. Welcomes you the way a pub should!

Este es un pub al otro lado de la carretera desde el tratamiento. Es muy pequeño, ya que la parte de arriba no estaba en uso cuando estábamos allí, pero nos pareció un pub agradable con un personal excelente. Algunas noches tienen entretenimiento y gente llegar a bailar y charlar con los demás, no importa si son desconocidos o no. Volvería si en Perth. También tengo que decir que la gente nos pareció muy amable de Perth no importa donde fuimos.
