Just come back from the greville arms and we had a really nice time. Food was spot on staff happy to help and since the refit lovely place to visit. Dinner for 8 people come in a timely manner and lovely and hot really tasty would recommend. Staff as usual polite and happy to help

2nd visit since it’s been refurbed. Both times food very poor. Let it be first time as one off but 2nd time still disappointing. Not very warm and overcooked. Mentioned to bar staff but was just laughed at. Great atmosphere other than food.

El desayuno familiar de esta mañana, realmente no fue genial en absoluto. Pedí tocino bien hecho - salió tan mal cocido que no me lo comí Inglés completo para salchichas de marido negro, tocino mal cocido, hongos mal cocidos. De ninguna manera los frijoles Heinz fueron como se anuncia en el menú. La comida de su hijo el tocino era tan graso que apenas comió nada, de nuevo salchicha quemada como judías calientes Tostadas apenas vistas Muy decepcionante. Went after a funeral, the food was very good but the service we received from Alex was second to none. Alex made everyone feel at ease and nothing was to much for him.

18 months since last visit and what a disapointment. It was difficult hold a conversation with the raucous music being played!! everyone had to shout to be heard and this made the experince worse. Never again after 12 years using it.

We visited the Greville today to try the new menu and were not disappointed. It was fresh, delicious and served in good time. Always a friendly welcome from Dawn, Jo, Claire & all of the hard-working staff. We will definitely be returning to try more new things off the menu, thank you Dawn & team!

Thought I would try breakfast as has a little time, but sadly slow service and lacked customer care... ordered and waited . and waited. some 20-25 mins later . asked any sign of breakfast . and the wondiful response . was .. he's cooking it.. ! . I booked a table for 7:30pm for myself & my little girl. We entered the pub & were met with a lovely smiley lady who told us about the ordering system & pointed out the markers on the floor & what we needed to do to stay safe in the pub. We were then asked to apply hand gel & were asked if we had parked our car, we had so the lady showed us the machines where you need to enter your registration to ensure you don’t get a parking fine as the car park is strictly for customers only. The lady then showed us to our table & we had a look at the menus. I have visited a few different places to eat out since lockdown ended and this is the first place where I think they’re really taking things seriously with regards to COVID 19 but boy have they got their work cut out. They’re obviously trying really hard to keep themselves & their customers safe but for some I think they might as well beat their heads against a brick wall. I think that they’re doing a really really good job of it & all with a big smile. I for one felt very safe & well looked after. We ordered food & it came quickly & it was really lovely. I had salt & pepper mushrooms to start & scampi & chips for my main, the portion sizes were spot on & cooked to perfection. My 7 year old dictator sorry daughter had garlic bread to start, fish fingers & curly fries & then a make your own sundae for dessert. Apparently it was all yummy scrummy delicious high praise indeed.The lady that brought out our food was really lovely too, very chatty & friendly plus polite & looked after us really well. The lady at the bar served me my drinks & was also really lovely too. If you want to feel well looked after, feel that people are taking COVID 19 seriously but still providing exceptional food & service then visit here, you won’t regret it. 4 adults and three dhildren. It was good getting the children's meals for just £1 each - they ate all of it which they never seem to do at home. Out meals came witrhin 20 minutes of ordering and were good piping hot pub food at a reasonable price. The staff work so h and - credit to them.

My partner had the lasagne she loved it. I had the large mixed grill looked fantastic. Before the waitress left the table is eat 2 chips both was stone cold?The waitress went to take my whole meal away i said leave the plate here i can have something to eat while you get my hot chips she was not happy the lady nearly 6ft tall wearing glasses was muttering stuff under her breath.The best of it is in a span of a week we have eaten twice and on both accasions the chips have come out above warm.If i had asked for cold chips do you think I would have got them?

Very unhappy after driving 2.5 hours to my friends birthday on a very dark rainy day and after giving our registration details to the bar staff I receive a fine!!! I also get an extra £15 from my lease company on top...…. this is not a good experience at all and I one I won't be repeating.....

My sweetheart and I called in for a Saturday Lunch, my lady had a veggie burger for which she gave full marks to and I had Scampi, peas and chips, all of my meal was cooked to perfection, great stuff. My friend and I do not know the Solihull area at all and had driven around looking for a local pub to have a drink and we stumbled upon this pub.It was dark and raining so we parked (both in separate cars) and rushed into the bar, not even thinking about whether we needed to pay for parking. Why would we, its a pub in a residential area with, what appeared to be, its own parking.We never noticed a sign outside nor on the bar, nor did any of the staff mention it or ask for our car regs !!!!!Both I and my friend have now received a parking fine from Euro Parks for £85 !!! That's a total of £170, for a couple of drinks which probably came to about £10-£15.We paid by cash so cannot evidence that we were there other than this ridiculous fine !!!!Grenville Arms I expect your CCTV will be able to provide this evidence and I would be grateful if you could confirm whether this is possible.I have posted on here rather than contacting you direct to raise awareness to anyone else considering using this pub - as your staff do not raise awareness to customers which I consider to be extremely poor customer service !!!!

I recently visited this pub as I have done over the years, the food was fine, as it always is to their credit, 2 weeks later I receive a letter in the post demanding £85 for my use of the pub's car park for 45 minutes.I've never ever ever ever been fined to use a pub's car park before, this is absolutely ridiculous!!!On visiting the car park again this evening, I note the smallest possible signage that's far from easy to see, and from reading the reviews, it looks like I'm not the only only to have experience this!A great pity and I won't be visiting the pub ever again and have posted a warning on social media to warn other locals.Avoid at all costs!

Don't make complaints but this time I feel I have too .... went for lunch with the good lady and been here before ( food was reasonable ) but this time it was really bad..... waited nearly 40 mins for a main course ( got the chicken sizzler ) and it was so over cooked, dry and hard. took it back straight away and waited another 15 mins for another one .... wasnt much better plus got a broken steak knife on the plate ... ate what I could ... bar and serving staff were nice but felt I had to just leave, Also let's not talk about the flies in mid november, something seriously wrong there !!! Wont be back.

Apart from the tables arounds us not being cleared for at least an hour the meal was lovely and i had a nice time with my friend. However, a couple of weeks later i received a fine for using their car par park!! On the day of my visit i had asked the lady that was serving us if it was okay to park there as i saw a euro car park sign and nothing else, she said yes and walked off. Apparently I was meant to give my reg in at the tills upon arrival but not according to the lady that served me. I phoned up the Greville to ask about this and i spoke to a rude woman that kept telling me it was my fault but was told that i could go in with evidence of the visit and pay £7 and they will cancel the fine. When i went to cancel it the guy at the till pointed to a boring slightly torn sign by the till that said about giving the reg in, now the first thing i want to do when i get to a pub is order a drink, get a seat and look at the menu not think about whether im gonna get a fine even after ive asked. They should be asking people that come in what their reg is, this would make excellent customer service and id be more than happy to go back. Now i dont want to go back because i might give them my reg at the till but dont trust them to put it down since it was my fault last time that the woman just said yes and walked off.

Hi just come back from the Greville Arms for lunch time meal with friends

Popped in to this pub for a drink to watch football the other week, not familiar to the area and didn’t see any signs so just parked up and went inside, stayed about 45 minutes had a drink, all seemed ok, pub was nice but have sadly just received a parking fine notice for the time I spent there, seems unfair to be charging customers parking and it clearly isn’t very obvious that you have to pay as there are a few reviews on here of people saying the same, very annoying! Nothing was mentioned by staff about claiming parking expenses back when I bought my drink.

Won’t be visiting this restaurant again.

visited last sunday evening, ordered 2 lasagnes: after waiting 15 minutes was told there was only one so ordered roast dinner, none available so went for the next best thing which was the slow cooked beef with mash and peas. The beef was dry and overcooked, mash was nice but serving it with a spoonful of thick peppercorn sauce was a disaster because the whole meal was really dry. I would have sent the meal back but I hadn't eaten all day and was ravenous so I eat it rather than have to wait for a replacement. Would have preferred to have put feedback on website but couldn't find and option.

Recently used this pub when traveling back from the airport. We have used it before. It was raining , we rushed into the pub, and didnt notice the parking signs also staff behind the bar did not say we had to register our car hence an £80 fine! Do not use ALL sizzling pubs would be my advice from now on but also DONT pay the fine if you get one , even if you paid cash for your meal like I did and have no proof because the pubs have CCTV and if you are taken to court, ( you wont be) you can use this to prove you used the pub. Don't be bullied into paying unreasonable fines.

Went for a beer to meet a family member who lives near The Greville Arms.

My mum and I popped in for lunch with my 2 children. We found the service faultless, friendly, welcoming bar & waiting staff.

My Partner and I, popped in for food yesterday. We didn't have to wait to order and the food was quickly served. Sadly the food itself. Was the worst pub meal I, have ever tasted. I'd ordered a triple stack burger. All 3 burgers were inedible. Beef burger was greasy, the chicken breast, was dry and finally the southern fried fillet had been overcooked. It came with cheese sauce which wasnt nice at all either. Ruining the coating. My Partner had the gammon, which was no better. It was just overly salty. It was served with a slice of pineapple that looked fit for the bin.

We went to greville last week for lunch I had gammon & chips which was ok my friend had pie & mash which looked nice but so much chunky pastry with very little mince meat & pastry was not very nice with instant mash I thought my friend was joking until I tried it myself omg I am sure they can do better tan that who uses instant mash anymore .
