Gregs Fish & Chips in Hartlepool

My friends dad works here and I had fish and chips here (sausage and chips) first time a few months ago I really enjoyed it and I’ve had it today and I got sausage and chips with ketchup and the food is absolutely delicious, amazing and Marvellous like restaurant quality but 100x better I would recommend this fish and chips shop to anyone and I really don’t want this place to close down because it’s by far my favourite fish and chips shop I’ve ever been to in my life

First visit, near ro closing, cash only? Well thats another take away off the menu I suppose. Food 1 star, never sampled it, service 1 star cash only? What is the 1986? Service 2 stars I wasn't served. Atmosphere? In a chippy?

Best chippy in hartlepool especialy if u like a big portion uwont go hungry old school big fritters aswel u cant go wrong here well apart from the un butterd burger style bun but allways too full to eat the buns anyway

Bought Fish, Chips and Mushy peas ( 5/10/23). The batter wasn't cooked on the inside, and neither was the fish. The chips that I could eat were like cardboard, and totally tasteless. Also paid for a large peas and only received a small one . I went to have a quiet word with the owner today before opening and he just kept me waiting outside. I won't ever use this business again.

Disappointed, chips...lots of small overfried offcuts from small potatoes. Fish fritter...plenty of potatoe and fish, which was okay but the batter was tough and overcrisp. Fish portion... again, tough and overcrisp. The prices...a lot more expensive than some other fish shops.

Were to start.....staff need a lesson in customer service....no customer acknowledgement no please or thank yous As for the food....I think chips had been cooked a fortnight ago hard and scrappy....fish fritter would have broken concrete Needless to say I'll stick to Fens chippy in future

Great craic with the ladies and Greg. Portions are massive and of great quality. Great value for money.

Love this fish shop can not get any better, staff are great and friendly, and fish bites and chips are amazing 100%, go to this fish shop once and it will be your regular x

Great value ,freshly cooked to order,5 star rating for hygiene so gets my vote . Love the taste and freshness of the products.

Atmosphere hard to mark in a fish shop, but portion size and quality was very good, unfortunately the mushy pea patty was not available

Rotten, We got a fish (seen a bigger 1 at the carnival last month. And a fish fritter. anyone know what kind of fish they use?. Chips best part of meal

first time ive been as not happy with my usual chippy.Meal was fabulous and fish cooked perfect,chips lovely and not greasy.Great price and lovely clean shop.Will deffo go there all the time now,my work collegues who also placed orders agree.Keep it up guys.
