JP’s Bar in Hartlepool

Not a place to drink £ but an excellent place to eat. Great service from lovely staff. Very enjoyable.

Great food, one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had. They were clearly very busy but told us what they had available and approx waiting time. Kept us informed the whole time, The food was worth the wait the lamb and pork were cooked amazing. Will definitely be back.

Under new ownership. Much tidier, the stupid paintings on the walls have gone. The food and service is good as ever. On the early bird menu they have a rump steak for £13. Probably one of the best pubs on Teesside. Shame that a large glass of wine is now £9.50 a bottle is £24. Used to be £14. Nice wine though but Wetherspoons sell Villa Maria for £10 less

The food is really beautiful in here and the surroundings are just lovely. I especially love the art work by local artists on the walls. The waitresses are really nice and friendly . It's a shame it never seems busy.

Excellent coffee and home made scone - will return and recommend
