Greggs in Chichester

New location, great seating, good WiFi, great sausage roll and coffee at a bargain price

Greggs, you know what you're getting. Plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. Large queues at peak times. Bins need to be bigger or cleared more often

Dreadfully dirty seating area, but to be fair, there only seemed to be 2 people working there today, one cooking everything bless him and a lady taking all the orders who seemed to be new as she was taking an age and wasn't too sure about the produce when asked... The pizza was great thou and the little one couldn't stop eating slices of it... 5 was had I believe at £3.50 a go with a bottle of pop it was pretty good value...

Popped in for lunch to takeaway, and the place was extremely busy. When seen, 10 mins later, having put my items on the counter, I also asked for a doughnut. I paid cash, gave me my change, and the guy just walked off without asking if there was anything else. Very bad customer service

Standard city-centre Greggs. Good range of food options and has seating inside.

Food cold: ask for a hot slice ; got a new one but still cold;

Extremely poor. Purchased a vegetable bake for the wife. When she went to eat it in store, it was cold. Staff refused to reheat due to policy. Said it's just luck if it's hot or cold. No offer of replacing it. You buy a pasty like that from a warming cabinet expecting it to be at least warm. Guess we'll take our custom elsewhere next time we want a snack.

Chichester greggs.. is always dirty... everytime you go in the bins downstairs and upstairs are over flowing.. the tables are messy.. seems to never be anybody cleaning.. the food is luke warm.. never hot.. always 1 person on the tills who looks like they don't even want to be there.. as for mobile signal or WiFi that's non existent.. only went her to grab something quick

Bit noisy upstairs if you like a bit of quiet, but the sausage roll and custard doughnuts are the best!

It was a long queue but only caused by not enough serving staff behind the counter. Cups contain too much tea for my liking, but it's better than not enough. Will go back.

Crowded, the staff don't have time to clean the tables, if you are lucky you can find products even hot, mine was almost cold. It's an ok choice if you don't want more.

Friendly staff but serving process is seriously flawed with lack of staff and having to prepare beverages themselves. I only wanted a takeaway pasty. Shelves empty as well. Give this store more staff or change your process.

Greggs are best for food and coffee at a very reasonable price. Beating all other outlets for price and outstanding food.

Service slow, dine in area untidy, bins overflowing, so empties left on the tables. No one seemed to be dedicated to clearing up

Very busy Quedgeley for 15 minutes. Only 2 staff running it.

Good shop . But always run out of things quickly. But it is always busy . But good coffee and pastry and their sausage rolls of course .

We queued from just inside the door and service was good, so didn’t wait long. Coffee was nice, as expected, but pizza slices were cold. Very little on the shelves, especially in the sandwiches fridge, which was poor for 12:30pm. The tables desperately needed to be cleaned and under the tables was disgusting, rubbish, crumbs, spilt drinks etc everywhere. If I had noticed this before being served and it wasn’t for the torrential rain outside I wouldn’t have opted to eat in. A group of three youths came in to eat their lunch, not from Greggs, and the language was quite something. Seen by staff members but not spoken too or dealt with. I think this was quite intimidating for an elderly couple nearby. I love a coffee in Greggs whilst doing my shopping by definitely will not return to this one.

Laughably bad delivery service provided through justeat. In-store experience also poor with lack of decent staff and no stock being the main issues. I know it's Gregg's but can you at least get some more stock of sandwiches etc so you don't run out at 3pm everyday?

Dirty tables, bins full, and nothing much left to eat but it was last thing on a Sunday afternoon so I've given it 1 star more than it deserved. The food & drink available was fine.

Greggs Chichester 0900 3/8/23. 1 male member of staff on the tills. Long queues. Dirty tables. Milk jug empty. 1 female member of staff walking around not helping the male Member of staff at all. She does not seem interested in the job at all.

Utterly terrible service today 29/7 - asked for a sausage roll and ended up with literally a sausage roll ,not a breakfast sausage roll, staff member should had clarified what I wanted , I didn’t say anything , and ended up with this disgusting sausage roll that was stone cold and hard! I let it go about being given the incorrect product but the fact it was cold wasn’t good, I tried to inform a staff member, but they weren’t interested , and walked off, so disappointing today and a waste of money , usually ok , it’s a shame

Clean toilets upstairs, good customer service. cosy modern Greggs.

The drinks are well priced and there is an upstairs seating area which is a great place to sit. The service has been confused on several occasions though which can cause a big queue.

Got off the ferry yesterday after months abroad and was dying for a Gregg's vegan sausage roll. Unfortunately the queue was out the door and not moving. Waited 10 minutes then gave up.

Very busy, and understaffed. Feel sorry for the staff who could do with a hand.

Wanted two hot sandwich deals which I was charged for but no wedges to be seen anywhere and apparently they can't substitute for something else... the guy in front of me had his two sausage rolls forgotten from his order...second time in a greggs and second time abysmal service won't be back in one anytime soon

Decided to try out what all the fuss was about Greggs so we stopped of here to have a steak slice and a coffee ,the food was cold the coffee was weak, and the place was filthy, staff standing about when tables are dirty the floors looked like they have never seen a mop before , and when i asked why the food was cold they said they cant reheat the slices and pasties etc, they should have mentioned that or even offer an apology before we ordered disgusted

Lovely staff and lovely food, only even had one problem which was the bacon can be very dry sometime but still go back as they can be very lovely with you get it right.

Such great prices and the seating is fine. Staff very helpful.

Good veggie/ vegan options when they have the stock... Don't like that they can't be warm though it's a bit weird! Coffee is also good considering as are the sweet treat doughnuts

Absolutely filthy, and you know it. Don't let that stop you from grabbing two slices (one meat, one veg - balance is important), 4 yum yums and pretending they're 'for the team'. To the rude old lady who pushed past me claiming I was still looking, I will never forget or forgive you.

There unfortunately seems to be a staffing issue as there is only ever one person on tills during the lunch rush and food does not come quick enough resulting in longer queues, longer waiting times and cold food/ hot drinks. The tables are kept clean and there’s is a large amount of seating

The Greggs within Chichester recently moved to a new larger store where footfall is higher... However they didn't appear to hire any additional staff. The morning rush can get busy now and you can be waiting 5-10 mins due to having one person taking order and one making them. Foods still the same quality, drinks as nice as before...price going up (as if everything so not their fault). Just hope they sort the staffing and service speed out as it's retracting from what should be a positive move for them.

Went to the new greggs outlet on Saturday and for a place that’s only been open a couple of weeks it was filth floors dirty tables dirty rubbish bins full to the rim that’s why rubbish left on tables i didn’t bother with the toilets. When i got my order i asked for a receipt sorry they said the printer isn’t working now i have to say this but it seems that when ever i go to a greggs no matter where it is they all say the same thing sorry printer not working come on greggs you can do better than that.

Don't order from here if you're getting it from justeat. I have no idea what changed in the last couple of months but they'll just not give you the food you ask for, replace it with something else, cross it out on the receipt and deliver it to you. All that without even asking if it was alright. This has happened 3 time in a row now and I'm sick of it.

Very lovable place, enjoyable atmosphere and beautiful food especially the steak slices, hot, eat in or takeaway.

Only went in to get a caramel latte, quite nice coffee.

Very disappointed they couldn't warm my baguette because it was in the meal deal or i pay full price for a warm baguette .glad i didn't pay any more money because it was probably the worst baguette I have ever eaten

BAD.... 2 serving 1 person while queue of 5 grew larger. Got fed up of queueing so left

Found this place in what seemed like mid lunch break for anyone working nearby so very busy, shop layout is good for a one-way system. Shelves were still pretty well stocked considering how busy it was, could tell staff were working hard but all had a smile on their faces for the customers.

I normally order the same thing and i get the donuts in the box but today i got them in a bag the icing has pretty much came off and my donuts are squished

It's Gregg's, basically I love a sausage roll, a donut and a coffee, i'm a fan of Gregg's in general. Great place to stop in and grab a fly by snack.

Today 01/02/2021 the staff and the delivery guy went above and beyond. I did a surprise for my family and they manged to make it special and an even bigger surprise thank you soo much

I do not like or even dislike Greggs, it is a place that i sometimes go to when all the other places to eat are packed with too many people. The food at Greggs when it comes out of the oven is hot, however, it does not stay hot for long as Greggs don't appear to have proper provision to have food kept at a certain required holding temperature. The food is cheap and the coffee is not fantastic, what you see is what you get.

Lovely food and coffee at a very reasonable price. Recommend their sausage rolls and steak slice, their caramel doughnut looked so yummy, that's next on my list to try!

You either love Greggs, or you loathe it. As someone who travels a lot, I certainly depend on it. It is always clean and consistent, the staff at Chichester are polite and helpful, taking time to give directions to a stranger. This is not unusual, for such a large company, the staff at the vast majority of the branches that I've visited, show a uniformly high level of politeness and customer service.
