Greggs in Newcastle upon Tyne

Weekends and nighttime can be very busy .

1 of the first times I've been in a Greggs and the young lad (Saturday morning) got my order for 6 people spot on and even managed to put the correct amount of Sauce on them .( Not 1 bit went on my top or hand)

Can never go wrong with a visit to this Greggs. Food is always good quality and hot. Service is quick, staff are friendly. The inside is always clean and tidy. There can be a queue sometimes, but always moves quickly.

You need more staff on at breakfast time. Queue is far to long and slow moving, especially for people waiting for trains.

Just wanted to write a quick thank you to the staff for the kindness you showed the man experiencing homelessness outside the shop. I'm sure you really helped him and it's nice to see how much you care about all your customers, especially those going through tough times. Thank you.

They do sausage rolls, I wanted a sausage roll, everyone's a winner.

Just want to say a HUGE thanks to the Greggs team, especially Wendy, for helping to find my 8 year old Sons backpack that he left in the store after his train was cancelled in Newcastle, and sending it on to his home in Edinburgh. He was so upset as he had his favourite Star Wars toys in it as well as his teddy. Customer Service at his highest level! The next time I come into Newcastle Station, I shall pop in say thank you in person . Oh, and the Sausage roll that I had the other week was lovely as well ! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU ! Richard

So I'd like to reckonise the hard work, helpful, well mannered staff at this greggs store, I visit atleast 5/6nights a week and evenytime I go in they know my order and I always leave with a smile, they are a great bunch of people Alan, jackie, Dean, Steven, matty, Jo, Keith and they are more like friends then working members of staff, keep up the great work. Travelling to Newcastle with work. Bought 8 bakes, 2 boxes of 4 doughnuts and a few drinks. All the bakes were cold security at the door giving me funny looks I nearly asked him what is problem is and the staff looked really disengaged and not as friendly as they are in other stores. This happened around half an hour ago

Went for a pizza, had none left so had to settle for a cheese and onion pasty and pink jammy. fuming! Also toilets stunk of mackerel and there was no toilet for someone who doesn’t identify as a man or a woman! ( I identify as a 24 inch naval canon) where is the toilet facilities for someone of that need? I’m fuming at my experience and wouldn’t mind a refund if not I’ll be back this time armed

Very busy in the morning, but I enjoy coming here and buying a hot chocolate on the way to college. Staff are friendly and food/drinks are given to you very quickly, barely have to wait.

I miss you 24 hour greggs (from glasgow) it's 1:30 in the morning and all I want is a greggs. I'm living in glasgow and none of the 27 greggs are open .

No sitting area, got stake bake and chicken bake today, both stone cold and pieces of beef with gristle.

Came in on a night out late at night. Food was still hot and the staff were very friendly when serving us.

Popped in for a train treat and Greggs never disappoints with it's extensive treats at great value. It's always bust no matter what time.

Food is always good quality, however, the team could try a little better to he pleasant... Always super miserable, and, practically throw your food at you, and don't even bother closing bags so food goes colder quicker

My twin brother Stephen and I were on a week's holiday in Newcastle Upon Tyne, on one of the days we decided to jump the train down to Durham, while waiting for our train we decided to visit Greggs in the train station to grab a bite to eat. A big Greggs outlet, lovely modern decor and furnishings, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this Greggs outlet both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling railway platforms. We ordered a steak bake each,service was very quick, we took a table outside were we munched our delicious pastries which was just what we needed to set us up for a few hours. This Greggs outlet is easy to locate in Newcastle Central Station ,open 9am till 9pm Monday to Sunday, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in need of a quick tasty meal.

Bit of a Greggs addict myself, if I spot an outlet I can't stop myself going in ,probably explains my tight trousers, can't blame the lockdown any more ,ha ha , this Greggs along Neville Street was one of their outlets my twin brother Stephen and I visited on a recent weeks holiday in Newcastle. Typical Greggs, neat and tidy, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer and the staff in here are really nice, we purchased their sausage rolls, 4 sausage rolls for £3 ,great value for money, service in here was quick as this outlet is busy and the sausage rolls were delicious, if you're in the mood for some nice pastries I highly recommend this Greggs along Neville Street.

Greggs is a chain of UK bakeries which are dotted throughout the UK that offer a very good range of savouries and pastries and are superb value for money. Located on Neville street'this Greggs was so busy we actually came back 15 minutes later when the queue went down.When we visited here we purchased a pack of there sausage rolls which are superb and great value. Greggs is well worth visiting if you need an excellent savoury or pastrie's or a dessert and this one on Neville street is very easy to find from Central train station its across the street.(This is my first review of Greggs on Neville street). Stopped for a tea and a steak bake. Had my own cup. I was told that they could not make the tea in my cup, but could make it in a disposable cup that I could pour into my cup. I also could not add my own milk. I was told this is Greggs policy. What level of risk is Greggs trying to control, vs wasting a disposable cup? If there is a perceived risk from the outside of my cup, why not just rinse before serving my tea? COVID transmission risk from hard surfaces is vanishingly small, but the risk to the climate of additional waste is real and growing. Come on, Greggs. Sort your policy out and stop embarrassing your staff who have to generate unnecessary waste. .

Reliable and always warm, service Ra ges from excellent to a bit stressy/rude when they're busy.

Greggs is my guilty pleasure. This one is conveniently situated across from Central Station. Sometimes gets busy but worth the wait. On a cold day walking to work with a decent coffee warming your hands. Happy me.

Really good steak bake and out-of-this-world doghnuts, genuinely does the trick. would be 5 stars but was faced with mediocre customer service at the till. This is a shame, butt the food makes up for it, of that you can be sure!

Lovely staff in this Greggs bakery. attentive and friendly. Never considered writing a review on Bakeries. This store is opposite Newcastle train station and can become really busy. This is a second visit to this store and with the same good service. I have been in a number of stores in the South of England and have to say the staff are so nice and friendly in comparable and as busy as the others I have visited. Thanks you

The seating area had a bad odor which didn't help while having a cup of coffee. The service on the other hand was excellent, was served by an extremely friendly and kind lady.

got 2 sausage rolls and tasted funny for hours later to be throwing up and diahorrea a friend of mine got just 1 sausage roll on the same day and got the same outcome the day being 06/01/20

Called into Greggs to get breakfast bun with sausage or a bacon and sausage bun and a latte for only £2. excellent value for money good service and plenty other things to help you on your travels. Many thanks to the staff that work in this little shop. I'm sure we will be back again for more food.

I came here on pride Saturday morning for my bacon and omelette sandwich, the blonde woman serving was abrupt and rude with serving customers. I know it was busy and customers are a pain but manners cost nothing!

Parece que hay millones de greggs en Newcastle. Tuve una oferta especial después de las 5 pm, de una porción de pizza con una botella de coca cola para 2. Eso es una ganga, aunque la pizza no fue estupenda. En general, me gustan los productos de Greggs, especialmente los pasteles de pollo. Pero esto era como un pedazo de pan blanco con un poco de tomate y queso en la parte superior. ¡Seguiré con las tartas en el futuro y soplaré el costo!

There was a very rude woman telling people to separate the que. All this did was stop people from getting to the fridge sections. Also if we had just stayed in the middle everyone would have got served in the correct order.

Kind service and broad choice for a bite. Not sure the tuna in the sandwich was actually tuna, though hunger was stronger.

This is a decent place the sausage rolls are good and so are the puddings . My drink was nice and I really enjoyed my meal.

Bacon and egg roll with a mint mocha - I don't think I could start my day without this place anymore - great staff, always a smile on their faces.

People queuing up long time had to ask the staff 3 times for 2 sausage rolls. To busy inside and out went to the toliet it wasnt that clean or very hygienic some rubbish was left in bins and down the loo rubbish and tampons wrappers left on the floor no clean hand paper towels out no hot water. I like the prices of greggs but their hygiene needs to improve and it needs to be abit cleaner tidier in the loos. Food hot and well done good selection of hot and cold food and drinks sandwiches good prices

Thank you to Jackie for the wonderful customer service delivered yesterday Saturday 24th November. She made our bulk order of breakfast sandwiches for our train journey. It was extremely busy but still had time to be polite, funny and very accommodating to our many needs. Thanks again Jackie. Great shop breakfasts are cheap brilliant coffee . If u go for just a coffee make sure u get some food. sometimes 40 pence more to 1.30 . Bargain

Echt een aanrader om hier te gaan ontbijten als je van de DFDS boot komt voor een dagje Newcastle. Ze hebben hier de allerlekkerste zoete broodjes en de lekkerste hartige pies. Als je je eten meeneemt betaal je niets extra's, eet je hier binnen dan betaal je per product 20 tot 35 cent extra, hou hier rekening mee! Niets dan lekkers hier en niet duur, dus die extra centen mogen er van mij wel bij!

Et greit å trivelig sted å spise til en grei pris. Stedet var veldig godt besøkt,så det var endel kø. De hadde " take away" og å spise på stedet. Vindusplass og trivelig - gjorde at vi var tilbake et par ganger.

Perfect stop off point for a sausage and egg breakfast roll with coffee on the way to the train station.

Excellent idea to have an all night greggs! We returned to our hotel room after a night out armed with cheese pasty, chicken bake and a sandwich!!!
