Came into Stonehaven not expecting very much. Was greeted by Joanne who was so lovely and enthusiastic about making us feel welcome. She brightened up our day and it was honestly the best service I've had anywhere not just Greggs. Thank you Joanne

I’ve just seen one of the assistants serving customers, handling cash then going to prep pasties and pizzas without any sign she was aware of basic food hygiene standards. There was no sign of any gloves or hand washing. She handled the uncooked pasties and placed pieces of pepperoni onto the frozen pizzas with her bare hands then carried on serving customers. I don’t think i’d be buying any unwrapped goods from this store.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Hot sausage rolls and a steak bake as always. 3 fancies to finish off too. Staff were polite.

This is a great location to sit in for a few minutes to enjoy a lattee and pick up a few scones as we walked around town

I’ve tried Greggs a number of times and unfortunately I find the food quite tasteless. I know it’s quick but it just doesn’t do it for me. There are a number of much better bakers and sandwich places in Stonehaven.

Greggs came in very handy for a warm cup of cappuccino and some freshly baked pastries. They also had warm soup. It was very welcome in a recent trip to Stonehaven. It seems to be quite popular for a quick lunch. Comfort food.

I may be in the minority, but I am not a fan of Greggs. I have gone in a few times in the past and tried different things. I do really like pies, pizzas and pasties but not the ones from Greggs. It's just personal taste, and I know that some people love Greggs food but for me it just lacks taste. I quite like some of their cakes though but not enough to make me want to go back when there are a number of much better bakers and fast food places in Stonehaven

This is just a standard Greggs, with nothing especially good or bad about it. One word of warning here on the parking. The Parking Attendants are as keen as I have come across. I saw one hanging around at the edge of the car park, and she made her way over to my car as soon as I walked away, She ticketed the car beside me, and I noted the time on his parking ticket, and it had expired by exactly 10 minutes, so be warned!!

There are more cafes in Aberdeen, some are very friendly, offer good coffee/food but some are not. Though I met a racist staff who did treat me like an invisible man. Please improve the service. Anyway i never visit again.

You won't get haute cuisine in Greggs, but the reason I often buy my lunch there is that the service is so quick. You can be in and out with your lunch in two minutes.

If pies, pasties, bread and cakes are your thing, then you can't go wrong with Greggs. Service is quick and the food is simple and filling. They often run out of bread quite early in the day, so get in quick.

Yo no...

Many in Stonehaven were opposed to the Greggs branch opening, for fear they would push local bakers out of business, and I understand that argument. However, Greggs is well established now, and the other bakers continue to trade too. I find Greggs compete very, very favourably, undoubtedly cheaper, but they also do offer a great range of products, and I have been so impressed by the service. they are set-up to serve people in a speedy fashion, and nowadays that is what most people want. I am very impressed with this branch.

Many Stonehaven folk did not welcome Gregg's opening, when there are 4/5 local bakers. However, it has to be said - Gregg's are very good at what they do. They have a super range of products, and service is always quick. They are really geared up to being busy, and are now another welcome option in Stonehaven for many.

After 43 years never have been inside a Greggs I decided to pop in for a coffee and something quick to eat after a walk along the beach. Okay it was Christmas Eve and I didn't expect much selection. There were only a couple of sad looking sausage rolls left. I bought these and a Latte. Only after receiving my food did someone else come into the shop and was offered a whole oven full of newly baked items ! The sausage roll was luke warm at best and had very little taste. The latte followed with 'tepid' being the best description I can manage. Wish I hadn't bothered. I knew Greggs wasn't a gourmet establishment but at least have the food & coffee hot.

We prefer the Inverurie one to Elgin or the Inverness ones. Fast service, quieter, consistently lovely food & friendly staff.

We had quite a disappointing experience, we booked the room on the Thainstone house website, we paid extra for a larger bed "super king deluxe" and some extras like a fruit platter, when we arrived they gave us the wrong sized bed, was a standard double when we paid for a super king deluxe, there was also no fruit platter. We were confirmed on the booking for the restaurant, but the restaurant was closed. Instead, they served us in the bar on weird low lounge chairs. It felt a bit silly making us eat in an area that's designed as a lounge, low slouch chairs, etc. They gave 3 different reasons as to why we couldn't eat at a table, considering they have 3 other rooms designed for dining it seemed a bit of a bad decision, other guests came in and looked pretty cheesed off at the arrangements. The gym and pool were really run down. It's not the sort of place you expect when you pay well over £300 for the entire experience. For that price and the house reputation we expected something really nice, I had to pretend to be happy as I didn't want to stress my girlfriend out, we had driven down from the Highlands for her to have a medical procedure at Aberdeen hospital, I thought it would break the journey up and make my girlfriend less nervous to spend the night in a posh hotel, I was mistaken. The one thing that saved this was that the food was amazing, but be warned, a pint of standard beer is £12. I left feeling like I had been really ripped off, wouldn't mind paying more if the place met the expectations.

It is horrible to walk into as everyone smoking outside. Also, when the back door opens the smell of stale, smoke goes through the restaurant . Tables are a mess with leftover plates and never seem to have many staff cleaning. Like an old man's bar with smell and drinkers.
