Greenstead Fish And Chip Shop in Colchester

This chip shop is a gem, burgers, fish and chips all very good but the southern fried chicken is just awesome, nice big tasty pieces. Worth buying a large portion and save a piece for the next day. Batter and skin all crisped up so no wobbly skin like other well known places, top quality chicken too.

Funny enough i was able to get myself a good portion of cheesy chips just in time for my morning routine 11:30 well done lads

We've had a takeaway fish supper from here several times this month. Always cooked to order and well worth the few minutes wait. I am gonna have the 'lighter bite' meal next time as the normal portions are too big.

I called in on my way home from work. There’s a free car park near the community centre. You can eat on the premises or take out. I really enjoyed my meal and the staff were very pleasant and I shall definitely call in again.

Excellent fish, chips, pies etc. Very nice staff. I have been going here for twenty years. It is in the Centre but not Five Fields Court as Five Fields Court is the sheltered housing which is also in the Centre. Trip Advisor cannot get even a simple thing such as an adress correct.

I'm a big fan of fish and chips and scampi is definitely my favourite- especially with curry sauce! And this chippy delivers!! Really yummy scampis, everything is freshly cooked, and served by friendly staff. Highly recommended :)

Really excellent fish and chips. Good portions, fresh fish and very crispy, chips all clean, no black bits. We have 2 large fish (1 cod/1 haddock) and 1 large portion of chips between 4 people. You may need more if you are a big eater but this is plenty for us. Very nice people, friendly service and there is a Co-op opposite so you can pop in to get any bits of shopping you need while you are waiting. Parking easy as there is a good size car-park just next door.

A pleasant local chippy! Not only are the staff pleasant, but the quality of the food is always good. And best of all they do an OAP sized portion of cod and chips which means that an older person doesn't feel guilty about wasting a few chips! If you want to, you can sit there and eat it too.

Staff are nice and friendly and always chatty. We use this chip shop a couple of times a month because its lovely. I especially enjoy their cheeseburgers!

The service was great, very friendly staff. Fish was cooked fresh, batter amazing - really crispy. Chips were yummy. Well worth a visit.
