I have reviewed this cafe previously and gave it a very low score due to our very poor experience. However we decided to give it another try and I pleased to confirm that everything from the welcome, service and food was excellent! Would definitely recommend now! 👏

This was our second visit to this gorgeous cafe and we love it. I had a quiche and salad and my husband had the homemade sausage roll with salad. Food was really first class and we loved the salad and serving yourself. I know it’s a limited menu but what they have is fantastic. Very fresh and well made. Good drinks menu as well. The staff are friendly and super efficient and we are so pleased we found this gem of a place. We will be back.

Previous reviews have criticised the limited menu but this is well advertised at the quayside and would not have been a surprise to anyone. The food was all homemade and absolutely delicious. Where everyone ordered they were told that if they wanted quiche warm it would be a 20 minute wait as this was done fresh to order. Imagine my disappointment when a table of older patrons (who frankly should have known better) created such a fuss after 10 minutes and walked out. Staff remained incredibly polite throughout. I can assure you that this food is worth waiting for. Quiches were just mouthwatering and the salads were so fresh and tasty. The whole experience really added to a great day!

We walked past the Greenshank Cafe and Bar but decided to go back for a drink. I'm glad that we did. The setting is delightful, the service excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had a look at the menu and the food looked appetising but, unfortunately, we did not have a long enough visit to try it out. We probably will rthe next time we are in Bristol.

Having walked along the port and visited the SS GB, it was just coming up to lunch time and we discovered Greenshank Cafe - the sun was shining and it was all-in-all a wonderful experience! The chap who served us on the 4th May was very hospitable, we had home made quiche (highly recommend the Chilli and Chorizo) with a side salad and home made dressing (which was wonderful!). It was a real treat to sit and have lunch on the boat, watching passing ships and drinking a nice cold glass of apple juice. You won't be disappointed in the meal quality or the hospitality!

Really enjoyed a relaxing lunch on this boat cafe. There was a choice of quiche with help yourself salad which was all very tasty. A few cakes to choose from- the cheesecake brownie was delicious! A great place to stop for lunch or just a quick drink while walking along the water. Would definitely go back.

Been past so many times but so glad we popped in. Lovely staff, nice food, great brownie! Wonderful cup of tea, really pleasant on a sunny afternoon. Also one of the finest toilets in Bristol, bit of a surprise. Will be back for more.

A combined bar/café on a boat moored alongside the Bristol Packet ticket office, it gives great views along the harbour and across to the colourful houses of Cliftonwood. Seating is predominantly inside, although there were a couple of tables at the very front which was a great spot on a recent sunny afternoon visit. We were only there for a coffee and a cake (although I think hot snacks are also available) and the selection was laid out on the counter. A little limited compared to some places perhaps, with no Victoria Sponge, Carrot Cake or Millionaire’s Shortbread, for example. There were also no prices shown which was a bit of a pain –a menu was displayed outside the boat, but that’s not much use when you’re inside choosing. We opted for a Bakewell Tart which was pleasant enough, if a little on the sweet side. Personally I would have preferred an iced topping rather than flaked almonds, but that is of course personal preference and I could see what I was getting before I ordered it. The main issue though was the size – it really was a tiny sliver of a piece. Across the table an almond and orange sponge was more substantial and quite tasty, definitely the better of the two. A latte to accompany the cake was pretty good. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with this, but that is entirely because of the portion sizes and prices (£11.15 for the two cakes and two drinks). It’s certainly a pleasant spot and the staff were pleasant and friendly, but that’s unlikely to be enough to entice me to return when there are plenty of other options nearby.

There is a limited menu but what they do is delicious. I had a toasty and soft drink followed by a lovely decaf latte. Very clean and well presented a delightful place to relax and refuel.

Had coffee and cake aboard this boat bar and loved it. Excellent coffee and homemade cake (carrot). They all looked delicious! Really friendly welcome / service throughout. Main seating is on “top deck” but there did look to be some fashionable stool seating downstairs if weather was bad. The lunch menu is very limited and an unusual offering - just a couple of toasties and sharing platters. Lovely spot though.

Called in here for lunch last week, lovely location with views of the harbour. The food was good and the staff polite and helpful but the service was a little slow, nevertheless I would recommend this place for a bite to eat!

This is a spot we go to regularly and usually enjoy coffee and a cake. Had the Boatmens Salad today which pretty good. Great views and great service, just a shame all the rubbish in the harbour accumulates around the Greenshank.

Popped in the cafe to have a snack, was a great treat to enjoy cute little sandwiches and panini. Lovely little cafe to enjoy and part of the history of the cathedral
