I love this place. The best coffee going. Better than the chains. And the staff are super lovely and happy. Great prices too. I can thoroughly recommend an iced vanilla latte.

It's almost the perfect coffee shop. The young, friendly staff are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are relentlessly cheerful and they serve you in a jiffy. The coffee would hold its own against most national chains (it is underpowered compared with Caffe Nero's though). Prices are cheaper than the chains. I noticed customers of all ages from 8 months through to 80 years, all relaxing happily. A great place to lose a little time.

What a super find on our recent trip to the area. Super friendly staff, excellent coffee and great toasties! More importantly, they are seriously dog friendly and Barnum, our St Bernard pup (11 stone! Still growing!) was made to feel very welcome to the point that when we passed and didn't go in or it was closed, he refused to move. If they were open, the staff came out with a biscuit. Breakfast was also fabby.

Friendly service. Spotlessly clean. My daughter and I had Brie and cranberry toasties. It was delicious. Served with homemade coleslaw & crisps. Such good value for money too! It will be our regular spot from now on.

My first time at Greenhill Coffee House was an amazing experience. If you love coffee then this is the place for you to go out of your way to visit. Greenhill Coffee House gets their coffee from their own roasting facility in the town of Cinderford (Greenhill Coffee Roasters). It is the only locally roasted coffee in the Forest of Dean or surrounding area. I did not know they roasted their own coffee until after I tasted my first cup. I knew there was something special about it because there was no hint of bitterness or sharp edge to the coffee. I usually drink my coffee with no sugar but many times I do have to add a half or a full teaspoon of sugar to remove the bitterness. Not this time! No way, it was just fantastic! The food and cakes are also superb. If you are in the area plese do yourself a favour and check it out, you will not be disappointed.

I don't normally bother leaving reviews for somewhere I've just stopped for lunch, but this was so excellent that I'm going to make an exception. Coffee was wonderful, food was great, service friendly and efficient, prices reasonable and the space was clean and well presented. Even the loo was clean. Excellent and highly recommended.

My partner and I popped in for coffee, hot chocolate and a slice of blondie cake. I ordered the hot chocolate and it was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had, just lovely! My partners coffee tasted amazing especially with a twist with the chocolate sauce. Really friendly staff, would definitely recommend. Thank you 😊

Always get a lovely welcome here, the staff know our regular order and take care to give a personal service. The coffees are delicious, as are the other drink options. They do some great food too: the bacon and sausage baps are spot on, and for an extra treat, try one of the delicious cakes.

Having seen the reviews for Greenhill Coffee House I didn't hesitate to visit while we were staying in the Forest of Dean. We bought sandwiches to take away as we were heading off walking, and wanted to take a picnic with us. They were made to order, using bread from a nearby bakery, and the fillings were generous and tasty. Between the three of us we shared two rounds of coronation chicken and one of brie and cranberry. Highly recommend!

Headed to Greenhills coffee house today with great expectations, at last an independent cafe that roasts and processes it's own coffee beans. Ordered an Americano regular size to go and I've never been so disappointed in a cup of coffee. It resembled hot brown water with no taste, dreadful. What a waste of £2. I was going to buy some ground coffee to take with me but now I'm so pleased I didn't. I really wanted to have a great cup of coffee but it looks like I'll have to try somewhere else. Cmon Greenhills pick your game up.

We had a fabulous family meal at The Bell on Saturday evening and very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was beautiful (especially the fish pie, which was to die for) Today, The Bell did us proud again when they provided a wonderful after funeral buffet for us at a very reasonable price. The selection of fresh sandwiches and home made cakes was fabulous plus sausage rolls, samosas, pork pies, sausages, dips, salads, crisps, nuts etc etc. Thank you both for looking after us all so well . We will see you again soon. Xx

Great tour of the mine. Very interesting and informative. The guide was really good at explaining and he is clearly very passionate about what he does.. You can visit the site for free and without booking, but if you want to go on the mine tour you need to book and pay online via the website. Just beware that the café closes much earlier than advertised and also that some of the information on the website is out of date, including the café menu.
