Superbly tasty food. I had a wonderful artichoke and fennel caponata with cavolo nero and polenta chips followed by a perfect mango and passionfruit cake. Friendly and competent service made for a very pleasant family lunch which pleased the vegan and non-vegan members alije. Highly recommended.

Great selection of amazing food, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff in a lovely location. Went for dinner and breakfast while staying overnight in Bath and will 100% visit again next time I'm there! Highly recommend

I visited to have breakfast and had the granola with yoghurt, which tasted great. The portion was a bit on the stingy side, but it tasted good and refreshing nonetheless. The service was also great.

This was a tasteless expensive breakfast. We have had vegan breakfasts before but this was completely lacking of any taste or flavour. It also took so long to get the drinks at the beginning and the receipt at the end which we had to ask for 3 times. At nearly £40 for 2 coffees, 2 orange juice and 2 vegan breakfast it was definitely not money well spent.

We spent three nights in Bath this weekend and ate here for breakfast every morning, instead of our hotel. We also had dinner one evening - absolutely fantastic food served by a really lovely team, in a spotlessly clean environment. Small but perfectly formed menu! Definitely worth booking.

Such was the appalling quality of food and service, it has prompted me to leave a review.Neither my wife or I are vegan, but we regularly enjoy vegan cuisine at a variety of places. This place is, quite frankly, the most terrible dining experience I have ever had.The food was entirely bland and tasteless. It’s quite difficult to f**k up spinach or baked beans but this restaurant managed it in spectacular style. The breakfast was entirely devoid of taste or seasoning and, was so bad, that we only had a few mouthfuls before abandoning it.The orange juice was hideously overpriced and, rather than being freshly squeezed, was mass produced from a bottle.The service was awful. Admittedly we were served quickly at first, but then we proceeded to wait twenty minutes for our drinks to be brought to us.The forty pounds that we were charged was an absolute abomination. Never have I felt so strongly about recommending people not to eat somewhere. We had a lovely time in Bath, excluding going here.If I could give this place a negative score I would.

Great coffee and food, good range of options and friendly staff. Good service and location is perfect - very close to town and train station.

On my previous visit to Bath my experience was that people there were just rude as a generalisation. Gave it a second chance after a few years, and the very first stop was to get coffee..Unfortunately I immediately regretted giving this city a second chance. - The staff here are rude, and act like it is a huge inconvenience for you to be there. The barista insisted on banging the coffee filter loudly over the top of us trying to order.. I know this is a necessary part of replacing the coffee but show some common sense and a bit of curtesy. He was after all, able to look straight at us and could surely hear his colleague ask multiple times for us to repeat our order, before proceeding to make a racket. The staff here have no idea how to communicate politely to customers either, and the coffee was disgusting. In stark contrast, the rest of my visit to bath was actually very positive. There is an irony in opening a vegan cafe - only to have your coffee immediately thrown in a bin 20 yards down the road.

Our favourite vegan restaurant. Delicious food, full of flavour. I am not even vegetarian, but absolutely love this food! Highly recommended!

great coffee and cake was amazing. A great choice of mains, snacks all vegan, so tasty, a bit noisy on the cross roads. some building work next door but this did not spoil out visit. choice of milks, fresh cake. clean, friendly staff.

Having read the reviews and ratings, we were really keen to eat here. The Café has outdoor seating, but, it runs alongside a very busy road junction. So, despite a view of a couple of Bath landmarks, we chose to eat inside by the windows instead. Décor is basic/rustic/in need of a make over/lacking in ambience - it was a bit grubby in places. The toilet facilities are down quite a few steps and so wouldn't be suitable for the mobility challenged - although the door is wide enough to let a wheelchair through. We struggled to get a decent amount of soap out of the dispenser and raised this issue with the staff, but, they told us that we should expect only a 'drop' , which considering Covid, wasn't reassuring. Maybe they could pop out and simply buy a new one that works! Service: quick/uncommunicative/didn't check if we needed anything/all o/k. No thank you for tip/payment at end. Food: bland/dry/vegan brekkies - only saving grace the bubble and squeak cake - the beans tasted re-heated and the sausages weren't the best I've tasted. All in all we have had much better. Asked for tomato sauce - brought butter! Shashuska was like a tin of chopped tomatoes with a few bit of onion/pepper thrown in for good luck! Only slightly spiced. The egg substitute was good, but, not enough to counterbalance the overpowering taste of the tomatoes. Sourdough bread added nothing to the dish as didn't the dry/hard parsley slung on top. Beverages: Coffee's were cold. All in all a very disappointing experience. Having been veggie/vegan for over forty years and eaten in many places around the world, this wasn't one of those times you remember for the right reasons! I did notice they were advertising for a new chef, so, maybe that had something to do with it, as it is a real mystery to us how this café has acquired such good ratings, based on such an all round poor experience. I don't want to be mean, but I can only speak as I find. I really hope that the new chef lights their fuse....

Visited for lunch at the weekend with my Mum. We received a friendly welcome and were seated in the cosy basement. The vegetarian menu was imaginative - we shared pakoras, bondas and fries which were well-cooked and interestingly-seasoned. Would recommend.

Visited with a friend, the food was absolutely amazing! Can’t fault it, thanks guys :) We felt unwelcomed by most members of staff, no one came to check on us during our meal and plates were not cleared for a considerable amount of time. The atmosphere felt almost hostile.The waitress with short black hair was friendly and kind but unfortunately I don’t feel that the same can be said for anyone else.I have never given bad feedback on service before and both of us left feeling almost upset.Food was perfect but probably wouldn’t return based purely on the service.

The monster breakfast is awesome, THE vegan brekkie in town. If you're booking for the afternoon though, be aware that they close if not busy

What a wonderful find. The great reviews are totally justified. I had the Tandoori mushrooms which were superb. Sarah had the bang bang cauliflower which was equally excellent. Rare to find such top quality food outside of London but they have done it. The informal atmosphere and brilliant staff totally make the whole experience. Great job all. Well done chef. Hope they have a reservation for tomorrow. If they do I'll be back. I 100% recommend.

One day of the week we go vegetarian and I was looking for a place where we could get a decent vegetarian fare.I called up to book and was told they don’t take bookings for lunch so we had to queue for 10 mins but it was worth the wait!Once inside, we were escorted by a lovely staff member. The highlight was the pumpkin risotto and bang bang cauliflower. Stunning! They made a kids portion pasta for the kids and we had one of the best meals in Bath!Wish I could have their desserts - the cardamom panacotta sounded amazing! Unfortunately we were in a rush.£40 for the four of us with starters. Bargain!Rarely a meal makes you happy. This one did. Thank you.

Hi so pleased we went to this lovely vegan restaurant for lunch the food was amazing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.So nice to go somewhere and most items are Gluten Free as well. My 9 year old likes pasta and they were happy to do her a bowl of spaghetti and tomato sauce. We also ordered a few sides and the sweet potato fries were GF and amazing.Unfortunately we were only visiting Bath for the day otherwise would keep going back!

This place makes their own brown sauce and ketchup! So so tasty :) We had beans on toast with some greens and tomatoes on the side and it was all very good quality food! Definitely wold be back.

Following a recommendation from a new friend we met the night before, we decided to visit the Green Rocket for a hearty vegan brunch after a busy morning exploring Bath. The café has a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere; decorated tastefully it boasts a modern chic but sustainable kind of vibe. The staff are friendly and were happy for us to choose our own table by the window. The menu is exclusively plant based for those of you who haven't visited; its extensive and there is a great variety of dishes to suit any taste and any appetite, large or small. Sarah and I opted for the vegan breakfasts, along with a pot of tea, and a glass of juice. The portion sizes are really reasonable for the price paid, and for the views and atmosphere you get when choosing to eat in. When the food arrived it look and tasted absolutely delicious. Zero faults whatsoever and would satisfy even those of you who aren't vegan or vegetarian - we can wholeheartedly recommend this place.COVID wise for those of you interested in the safety of the place: everything is wiped clean after customers leave and menus are disposable. Staff observe suitable distancing and maintain good hygiene standards from what we saw - it felt a very safe place to enjoy a sit down meal and watch the world go by in this very strange time.If you don't visit the Green Rocket, you're missing out!

Had the best nut roast I’ve EVER had! Love the atmosphere here and staff are highly attentive and very friendly. Was also happy to attend to my dietary requirements. Couldn’t recommend more!

The atmosphere was perfect - very chilled, and the perfect level of attentiveness from staff. Food was delicious and very filling, albeit a little expensive. But the taste more than made up for it (mushroom and black bean burger). The ketchup was homemade (or tasted homemade anyway), which I LOVED - I can't stand Heinz ketchup.Although, when choosing between sweet potato fries or rosemary fries, I was told that the sweet potato fries were more like thick wedges, but they were very thin. Still very tasty though.

My husband has been vegan since October 2019 we have eaten out extensively in that time and he declared his three course lunch here the best he’s ever had! I thought the outside of this cafe looked a little run down but inside had a great atmosphere, looked clean and had great Covid procedures in place. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing!!!It’s so nice to be able to choose from the whole menu, the highlights were definitely the Caesar salad and the mushroom burger.10/10 we’ll definitely visiting again

The first impression was not great, the lady who took are order didn't seem over enthusiastic as I was mainly ordering for myself and not my wife and children. Also they put us right by the counter where staff was constantly hanging around and it felt like you were being watched whilst you eat. The GOOD thing was the food I had the burger with a salad and as a vegan it was definitely my favourite burger it was delish, the chocolate cake was also delish. So over all because of service and table location I would give 3.5 stars.

The food at this place is really lovely - on that front I would recommend it 100%. The decor is also great and the menu selection very pleasant. Unfortunately, our whole experience was let down by very poor service. As we were being shown to our table, a waitress overtook my partner in a narrow doorway in a rush to get food to another table. Hard to explain online, but the way it happened, in normal times it would have been rude, but during COVID it wasn't really acceptable. Service was generally not very friendly, extremely slow and we had to ask for certain items twice.Overall not bad but would easily have been 5* with good service.

The food was really nice. There wasn’t space inside so we sat outside so the food got cold quite quickly. I’d definitely book in advance and go again so I can sit inside. The brunch was delicious but will go back to try the other food too.

We popped in here for a quick stop off whilst on a drive down to Cornwall - the gentleman serving us was so welcoming and kind. Super clean and spacious too! Perfect place for a pot of tea ☺️

Always loved this place so was very happy when I saw it's open again despite Covid. Had a delicious three course meal tonight - so, so, so tasty and the people working there are so polite, friendly and create a lovely, homely atmosphere.

What a great family meal we’ve just had here. Right from the off the service was warm, friendly and attentive. The oyster mushrooms and tempeh Caesar salad starters were very tasty indeed as were the mains- pumpkin risotto, gnocchi and Thai coconut curry. The latter was particularly amazing but in all, everything we ate was flavoursome, hearty and clearly made with passion. I also must mention the apple, berry and lavender crumble with creme anglais that I had for dessert. Wow. Just wow! We would highly recommend this fab cafe. It’s relaxed, unpretentious and fantastic. We only wish that we were local so could visit again. Thank you Green Rocket for a great evening.

I can’t praise The Green Rocket Cafe enough. The food is outstanding and delicious! It’s such a treat to eat here - the food is imaginative too ( butternut squash curry is nice but it seems to be the go-to vegan offering at most restaurants so great to have a change). We had a Caesar salad and bang bang cauliflower ( out of this world), mushroom burger and an aubergine dish, then mocha tart and crumble to finish. It was all obviously made with great care and attention. We were so impressed. Keep it up GRC! We will be back!

Only in Bath for a couple of days and would’ve loved to have eaten here again but alas no room at the inn when we returned. The burger was simply the best vegan burger I have ever eaten one day I will return x

The Green Rocket in Bath was our last place to eat after savouring hot food in both Bristol and Bath and we found it to be the best food we had tasted. The service was friendly and engaging and the food was simply delicious; well worth a visit and if we lived closer we would return regularly.

Lovely food at the Green Rocket. I had the black bean burger and it was delicious! The bread was great and the fries excellent. 6 of us went, all the food tasted fantastic and was presented really well. Will be returning!

We were a party of six. We all found exactly what we wanted from the comprehensive menu. The food was delicious, served with efficiency and friendliness. This was a wonderful dining experience.

We've been coming to the Green Rocket for a few years now and have alays enjoyed the excellent, innovative cuisine. The menu has recently been revamped and I think it's better than ever. Very good value as well. It's become our go-to lunch place when we're in Bath! Give it a try- you won't be disappointed.

We walked in not knowing that this was a vegan/veg restaurant! Lovely little place, the food was really good and we all found something we liked. Very well presented food, which tasted great and was hot. Really friendly staff.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our first brunch after lockdown. This is a Vegetarian and Vegan restaurant but don’t let that put you off if you’re a meat eater. I’m neither veggie nor vegan and thoroughly enjoyed my mini veggie breakfast; home made beans, garlic coated kale, bubble and squeak, portabelo mushroom and a slice of delicious seeded toast. My friend had avocado on sour dough and was equally impressed. Super clean, excellent service and well priced.

Vegetarian, Vegan and Carnivores, hunter gatherers (put down your spears and guilt) head for the Green Rocket in Bath, the food is the best I have had in ages, fresh tasting and oh so different, and that’s in a good way, simply fabulous it’s now our go to place when in Bath, and you know it really is quite difficult to get bowled over when it comes to eating out, but this place scored a double strike.

Lovely full vegan breakfast. Great tofu scramble and beans / home-made tomato sauce and brown sauce. Very yummy.

Great breakfast . We had the monster vegan option . The scrambled tofu was excellent , bubble and squeak lovely , the homemade baked beans and brown and tomato sauce great . Only thing I would change is maybe the margarine . The service was prompt and staff were friendly - totally recommend

Every time I come to bath I really do make a b line for this restaurant! It’s just fabulous. The food is indulgent but feels healthy. Not the most expansive menu but everything that comes out on a plate looks divine and you won’t be disappointed whatever you order. Generous servings, too! I pretty much always have the Rice burger with a side of sweet potato fries and it’s so much flavour packed in to one meal. Will keep coming back!

We popped in for lunch when walking around Bath and although we are not vegitarians ourselves we really enjoyed our meals, they were well presented, very flavoursome and the service good. Give them a try as we did and be surprised at the variety on offer.

Visited for breakfast, had breakfast for champions, absolutely fabulous, Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection, scrambled tofu, spinach, mushrooms, beans, sliced avocado, with sourdough bread. Atmosphere was very welcoming, service great. Wonderful find, will be visiting again.

We ate here when we stayed in Bath for the weekend, we didn't know what to expect but wanted to try somewhere vegetarian. When we arrived we had the choice of a table in the front or back room, we chose the back as it had a bit more ambience and felt more like a restaurant than a cafe. It was nicely busy - gave it a good atmosphere. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing! We had the Vietnamese Curry Bowl (this came with rice on the side so was plenty) and the Celeriac Steak (which came with chips and veg) with the Pumpkin Risotto on the side as we have rather healthy appetites! The flavours were delicious - absolutely recommend!

I wanted to like this place more than I actually did. Problems with food and drink availability. No juices of any type and no bread. 30mins wait for food was advised when we ordered. It was more like 40mins. Sides came later. No glasses for drinks. These all seem pretty fundamental things they should be getting right.

I had the warm cauliflower salad and my daughter the gnocchi. The salad was not warm, the cauliflower was not cooked, there simply wasn't any flavour to the lentils. My daughter's gnocchi was over priced and uninteresting. We will not visit again. I love purely veg restaurants and am a life long vegetarian but I'm afraid this one lets true veggies down, we love flavour.

Good food at a (locally) competative price. My better half is vegan but I am not. Nice to find a place where we were both happy with the food and options available. Only issue would be portion size which could be larger, but that is not just confined to the Green Rocket in the fair city of Bath. Service was exceptional. Would recommend.

Delicious veggie food (loads of vegan options too). My favourite place to go for lunch in Bath, hands down. The veggie burger is the best I have ever had. Nut roast on sundays is great too. PS - Bring back the raw cheesecakes!

Enjoyable and tasty.style . A vegan breakfast was a first for us and very different as we are not vegetarians.

Just disappointed you've gone all vegannny. Except for the cow's milk in the coffee. Used to enjoy the food here but I'll be giving it a miss in future. A bit hit and miss flavour wise. Not fussed about what type of molecules you cook, it's the surrender to food fashion I don't like.

Basic staff training should be to acknowledge customers when they enter the restaurant. We were repeatedly ignored as we stood and waited; a simple "We'll be with you in a minute" would have sufficed. Eventually, we gave up and complained to the man at the till who gave the excuse that they were short-staffed (12:15pm Sat 4th Jan). I sympathise with that but it's no excuse for bad manners, his included. He clearly found my experience amusing - his attitude was deplorable. Normally, we have had good experiences here and the food has been excellent. Maybe next time.

We were in Bath for the Xmas market and wanted to go to a vegetarian restaurant and booked the Green Rocket. It didn’t seem very busy in there and I wouldn’t describe it as very fancy but the service and food were really good. Both our meals tasted freshly cooked and were of great quality. Only down side was the wine we chose from the menu wasn’t available so we chose an alternative which we didn’t like it but that’s just bad luck really. Would definitely return again.

We had lunch whilst visiting the Christmas market. Interesting menu for non meat eaters. Noodle salad was plentiful and tasty. Cakes look scrumptious. Friendly staff. Is larger than it looks - basement area as well.

Food very good, and all nice vegan/vegetarian. No eggs for breakfast but tofu scrambled eggs instead. However did have dairy milk. Service not very friendly. All a bit cool. Place could do with a bit of a spring clean as well.

Loved this place, we had an amazing mushroom and broccoli soup. Would recommend and will visit again next time we are in Bath.

Great little vegetarian café. We visited for lunch, and chose the tofu & pepper stir-fry with piquant black vinegar sauce and jasmine rice, plus the warm salad of cauliflower, asparagus, lentils, seeds and leaves. All the food was excellent. Only slight minus point is that the plates weren't very warm, so the food went cold quickly.

Such an amazing place! Food was superb, we had the Pumpkin pakoras to start, thai curry bowl and chestnut and mushroom sausages, followed by the lavender and berry crumble. We would recommend them all! Service was attentive and incredibly polite. Venue was clean. We are planning to return again as it was just awesome!

La comida es excelente y abundante. Pronto me iré para liberar nuestra mesa para otra persona, todos deberían probar esta comida. Fantástico lugar con excelente personal y excelente comida.

Interesting and imaginative menu, tasty food, was very surprised to have cow's milk in my tea though. I would have thought cow's milk wouldn't get over the threshold of any vegan restaurant ever but there it was in my tea. Good service and at a busy time too, seating could be better. There's vegans and there's vegans, when we mentioned the cow's milk we were told "some people like it in their tea"...yes sure but they wouldn't be vegans would they? Why not serve meat too, some people like that with their vegetables.

A vegetarian restaurant. Easy to find, plenty of choice and delicious snacks and meals. Table service from proficient and polite and very helpful and thoughtful staff. Will lunch here regularly, even though the loo is downstairs! Easy walk from train and bus station.

Stumbled across this and it’s amazing. Simple but tasty vegan recipes. Definitely be back next time in bath.

Este pequeño restaurante, a un tiro de piedra de Bath Abbey, no se destaca mucho y es una lástima. Mi esposa es vegetariana de por vida, no soy del tipo pero en cualquier viaje de visita, estoy buscando un lugar especial. Este es uno de esos lugares.

Lentil soup with a spiral of green oil on top with sourdough bread was very yum. Beautifully presented.

Came here for a light lunch. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious and we thought reasonably priced. Service was fine.

We visited Bath for a few days in September and we were really keen to try as many independent places as possible. The Green Rocket ticked so many boxes for us, we were excited to try out a vegetarian breakfast but unfortunately it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The service was good and the staff very friendly but the cafe itself needed to be a bit cleaner. We had the veggie breakfast which was okay but not amazing. The sausages were very poor quality and although the rest of the breakfast was fresh, there was no seasoning in anything so everything tasted a little bland. The Green Rocket juice was lovely and the coffee was good. Overall, we really wanted to love this cafe but it was just a little disappointing.

Visited this place on Sunday morning just gone to be greeted by the waiter telling us we had 10 minutes to order breakfast (as the breakfast menu finished at 11:30) or we would have to wait until midday to order from the lunch menu. We ordered tea and espresso, requested some sugar as there was none on the table and did not receive any for the duration we were there. The food (scrambled egg on toast) took 55 minutes to come and also received a water 25 minutes after ordering it, just in time for us leaving. The food itself was actually nice but as I see from other reviews, the service is an absolute disgrace

Two of us popped in for a sandwich but were told they weren't available as they had the Sunday roast on instead. We both enjoy a roast so thought we'd give it a go.

We ate here several times and always felt nourished after our meal - not an easy feeling after most restaurant cooking. The Green Rocket juice drink and the gluten free onion rings were favorites.

Always happy to find a vegetarian/ vegan cafe. Nice place and a few kids options avaliable too. Food ordered was nice and price was fair. Only downside was that the staff were a bit ‘flat’- not rude or anything just not smiley or friendly.

I came here just before they closed their kitchens and they very kindly seated me and my boyfriend and took our orders.

I had been meaning to go there for a while and so when I entered, I was glad to be greeted and sat down. It later became clear it was half table service, half order at the counter, but I didn't mind being seated and served there.

We went to the Green Rocket after having searched for a reasonably well vegetarian cafe. We were very hungry when we sat down and we ordered at 1:52 pm. Our orders arrived at 3:07 which was utterly ridiculous. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you’re very hungry.

Superb vegetarian breakfast in a quirky place. Loved the food and service. Enjoyed eating here. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I do have a bit of a grump when I go into a place and then get ignored while other guests who arrive afterwards are handed menus and are looked after.

Comida rica y servicio muy amable. Tiene una pequeña terraza / nice food and very friendly service, with a few tables outside on the sidewalk

Visited here with my my yesterday who’s a non vegan! But she absolutely loved the mushroom and tomato burger and the cake slices we had were out of this world. I’m going to be dreaming about them for the foreseeable. Thanks so much! Loved it.
