Green Monkey in Wandsworth

I was always sceptical of this place after walking past multiple times but it hasn’t met up to expectations - it’s decorated like a 8 year olds bedroom - purple walls and butterflies. Food was okay but not many gluten free options (which I assumed there would be more after reading reviews) aside from gluten free bread. Tasted good though - meal choice ~Ape pictured Everyone here seems to order oat lattes so if that’s not your scene- avoid.

Lovely breakfasts, fresh and tasty, friendly service. This was out 3rd visit with family. Very nice food, but on the pricey side but very nice.

I had an excellent coffee and delicious shakshouka. Best I have eaten outside of Tel Aviv! Staff really friendly and efficient despite being very busy. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a breakfast and coffee. The cafe offers good food and coffee without being pretentious. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would happily return.

Very busy place Called in when passing my wife is gluten free and you advertised gluten free bread but you could Not make toast ? So She had not breakfast this is 2022 I understand you require separate toasters but a toaster is £8 at argos and you charge £3 for toast !! Sort it out On plus note coffee was good and the waiter man was nice Cannot believe in this time Cafes and restaurants struggle With people with dietary needs lost of people cannot eat different thing BUT THEY STILL HAVE TO EAT Rant over

I can't believe I have forgotten to review Green Monkey. What a fab place for coffees, traybakes and also it has the best salated caramel brownie in the area - I've tested them :-). Brunch here is awesome and try as I might I cannot break from having the buttermilk pancakes which are a stand out and are delicious. Friendly staff, fast, laidback and efficient service. Love it. I'll be back as I can't keep away.

Really love a Green Monkey breakfast, the coffee is amazing and so is the food! Presentation is always delightful and so is the customer service. Always greeted with happy smiles. Would recommend the avocado toast or the pancakes!

Their bunches are always really tasty with great portions ... and unlike other brunch places I've been to in London, you never have to wait ages for your food. The staff are super nice and friendly. They also love dogs, so its the perfect place for a post Tooting Common coffee! My fave brunch spot in Tooting/ Balham 🥰

My friend and I visited for brunch after quite a heavy night previous. We were quickly given a table outside which was nice as the weather was fab, it's quite small so if it's raining you might struggle to get a table inside. The menu is incredibly varied with some fab options ranging from healthy to indulgent. Lots of different drinks, smoothies, coffees, teas etc. We ordered two smoothies, a coffee and three brunch dishes. The waiter was super friendly however a little forgetful which wasn't helped as he wasn't writing anything down. As a result we didn't get one of our smoothies but the food was so good we didn't really care. We had the Ape and the Drill breakfast and buttermilk pancakes. All three were delicious, beautifully presented and good portion sizes. Great quality ingredients, cooked well and seasoned properly. We were thoroughly stuffed by the end. Yes it isn't the cheapest place but it's much better than similarly priced brunch places locally. I would highly recommend.

What a great spot excellent food and caring and kind staff. I took my wife and 35 year old son here to celebrate his birthday today. We all had poached eggs on toast including one gluten free. Tasty and with seating outside this was a fine Covid free environment

The cafe is nice and cosy inside. It is expensive for what you get though. I think it could do with to do with a community notice board as many of us are new to the area and don't know anyone. It is quite a lonely cafe if you are a solo traveller, people nearby don't chat to you and staff only talk about serving food. Just because we are alone doesn't mean we don't want a chat. #wellbeingtraveller
