Greek Taverna Bold Street in Liverpool

Dine here as a couple for lunch. Table preference taken into consideration which was much appreciated. Very nice selection of tapas and well presented. Staff friendly and attentive. Overall very enjoyable.

The Greek Taverna is fine but not special. The starters were excellent, the mains OK and at £70 for the two of us the price was OK but there was no Wow factor. The house wine is Italian! There are some excellent Greek wines particularly from the Peloponese so why not sell them. It was noticable that most plates collected from the tables had food that had been left, not a great sign.

We were greeted quickly by friendly staff and seated. The service was excellent. We chose off the early bird menu for lunch. We ordered the hot meze to start and we both had the moussaka for main course. Everything was served fresh and was really tasty. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning given the opportunity

Me and my girlfriend visited this restaurant on the 2nd night of our 3 night stay in Liverpool. Although we were a little worse for wear after a few too many 2 4 1 cocktails in a bar beforehand , food and service was stunning!Special mention to 'Shaun' and the team for their fantastic hospitality.We will be visiting again when we return to Liverpool next year - we can't wait to see Shaun and the team again!

We should have been in Greece but ended up in Liverpool (covid !) so decided we should eat Greek at least one night. Google led us to the Greek taverna and wow are we glad!! Mixed meze was very authentic, our mains of souvlaki and chicken ouzo were fab…followed up by metaxa of course. Staff were very welcoming we never felt rushed even though they were super busy. Will deffo be back if ever in Liverpool again.

Went with family to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is beautiful light and airy and spotlessly clean, food one word PERFECTION , fresh and full of authentic flavours can’t believe I haven’t been here before today but it’s now on my favourite list. The service is very good too and the waiting staff are very helpful and friendly too

Went for dinner this evening with my daughter.The staff were very friendly, attentive, professional.The food was really lovely, really enjoyed what we ordered.The young lady was sanitizing as tables were finished, she was extremely thorough which was great at these troublesome times, we were very confident that we were in a clean restaurant. The staff were also cleaning door handles, touch points, keep up the good work guys, great team work. Need all restaurants to take a leaf out of their book

Walked past this place for years, we won't be doing that again. What an absolute gem of a place, restaurant was spotless, traditional music playing and the staff very friendly.The menu just leaves you wanting to try it all. We shared a chicken kebab and a Chicken Ouzo and all I can say is, wow.The food was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and just tasted traditional Greek, as it should. I cannot rate this place any higher, highly recommended. Thank you.

We had Sunday lunch outside where we could people watch and had the hot meze starter and three tapas, all of which were very good. We finished with delightful warm baklava and a nice rich espresso. Fabulously clean toilets and great staff.

The food and environment is Amazing! Thanks for Alex's service and recommendation. He is so kind and we all enjoyed the lamb.

My friends and I visited here last Thursday and all 4 of us agreed that it was one of the nicest meals we had ever eaten. The Staff were wonderful and friendly, the food was amazing. Definitely one I would highly recommend. If you are in Liverpool, don't miss this complete wee gem of a restaurant. Thanks to all the wonderful staff and the amaxing chefs for a fantastic night.

5 friends and me went for dining today. The service that these guys provided to us was amazing. It is worth to highlight the patience Alex had with us and how well he explained the different options we had within the menu, taking into account our personal tastes.Definitely a place where I'll plan to be back really soon.

we went there because of the reviews noting fell short of the expectation , immaculate clean and fresh felt very relaxed and well served by all attentive staff . food delicious and piping hot we will be back for more the only thin negative could do with a better selection of wine

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Liverpool this place will not disappoint! We travelled from Birmingham and we will definitely be returning. It’s rare to find a restaurant that has the whole package but this place is perfection, amazing staff, great vibe, delicious food and the decor was so authentic beautiful and tasteful not over the top. So pleased we found this place thank you :)

Well one of the best greek restaurant I have been too,covid alert and social distancing in place staff were very friendly food was great,but since then Liverpool was put in tier 3 and restaurant was ordered to close bummer,wait till it reopens and try it Derek moores ✈

I came here during my shopping trip, our server was Sean who was amazing 10/10 service and perfect food !!

We came here for the first time today,and it wont be our last.The restaurant is lovely inside and the staff are excellent. I had the plaki to start and the lamb kebab for my main,both were tastey and nicely presented.

Visited here with my mum after some serious shopping. We both had the tapas deal 3 dishes for 13.95. And we added a side of home made chips to. The food was delicious especially the prawns. Couldn't fault anything I also had 2 of the raspberry mojitos which where huge and so tasty. Friendly, attentive staff who couldn't do enough. The place is spotlessly clean very covid 19 friendly. Cant wait to return as soon as possible.

Went for a meal while Christmas shopping during these awful times .This restaurant if fabulous,staff are so friendly,kind and hard working and the food is delicious.Could not fault one thing about it,highly recommended.

WOW!!We went to this restaurant simply because it was rated number one on trip advisor and it didn’t disappoint!! It’s a lovely small little place and a great location as it was walking distance from the hot water comedy club which we went too but the food was out of this world. Probably not a restaurant I would of chosen but so glad we did. To start we had flat bread, white bait and haloumi which was perfection! Then for main I had the chicken kebab which melted in your mouth, I’ve never had chicken so light and cooked like that and my partner had the moussaka again delicious! Service was outstanding , lovely people and overall a brilliant experience ! It’s number one for a reason! Definately visiting next time I am in town!

Excellent in every way, service was spot on despite the restaurant being very busy, the food was superb and great value- best meal out I’ve had in a long time. I visited for the first time today and I was not disappointed! The service was wonderful, they couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Everything is reasonably priced as well. Overall, a really lovely lunch and I don't think it'll be long before I go back!

First time eating at this restaurant as I wanted to try something new , and I’m glad I did ! The restaurant, although small compared to some places , emits a lovely and cosy atmosphere. All members of staff who seen to me and my cousin were the friendliest and happy/willing to help if you’re struggling to pick what to eat ( as all of the food sounds wonderful ! ) The place is clean and staff are cleaning tables as soon as customers have left their table. The food is served freshly cooked from a visible kitchen and is absolutely delicious! If you love sea food , the Kalamari rings as a starter is perfect. All dishes are a good sized portion and will leave you feeling full and satisfied.Happily coming back to support a wonderful independent business !

We came here mid afternoon for a late lunch. We felt really safe. The restaurant has great protocols for covid safety including screens in between tables, menu via QR code, mask wearing and contact tracing. We had the mixed kebabs. Fantastic quality food cooked to perfection. Very tasty. Good friendly staff. A very enjoyable visit.

Last evening before lockdown 2 . Couldn’t think of anywhere I’d rather get out last meal . All the restaurants are great and bold street continues to prove why lovely food and service can’t wait to be able to visit again .

Lovely, tasty food which makes the effort with hand cut chips. Great service and a lot of effort with cleaning for Covid. Masks worn by the staff too. Highly recommended. Early bird is great value. You can get tapas of you like smaller plates. I’m full up and I would go again. They have a children’s menu.

Called in hoping to get a table as last time we tried it was fully booked. Got a table and placed our orders, the rest is just outstanding! The starters, garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce, more please. Then the mains, Stifado, chicken kebab, Lamb kebab, just some of the nicest food I've tasted. The staff are superb, which made it all the more 'painful' when we didn't have any actual cash to leave a tip! Sorry guys, will make up for it next time.
