It was almost as if the staff doesn’t really care about your feelings. I didn’t really like the food very much, especially as it was quite rich in oil. The service was quite slow when I walked in, and it felt as though the place could do with a good wash. Not impressed. Would I come back again? No.

The service was not great here, though the food was ok. The cheese pastry was good. Probably worth visiting if you are in the area and would like some quick food, but not that amazing to be honest.

we've visited this restaurant on several occasions and found it to be as authentic as you can get. Bouzouki music, singers, great food, lots of alcohol and open 24-7. What more do you want. (tried to call recently for reservations but NO answer).

Real baklava y galaktompoureko y pedido tzatziki, souvlaki, staka, etc.

hello guys! I am Greek and i have been to almost every single Greek restaurant in London cause i miss my mum's food! In the Greek Farmer I found my Greece outside of Greece. For the people who are wondering if the owner or any of the stuff have ever been to greece, YES, they were all greek the last time I checked! what makes this place awesome? Big portions at a very reasonable price!!!! It is NOT a tappas bar like 'the real greek' where you pay a fortune for 3 meatballs! If anyone has ever been to a tavern in greece u understand what i'm talking about! Proper greek generosity and the amount of food we ate, i have never eaten in any restaurant in london, where they count how much food they put in your place with a scale! We were surprisingly shocked when the waitress took a big spoon and started filling up the plate with the dessert to the point that we couldnt eat no more!Well done to the Greek Farmer for respecting the greek tradition, first and foremost with friendliness and generosity. Another reason why to visit: live greek bouzouki fridays and saturdays , and organic food from greek farms for sale. Only disadvantage the decoration is like from back in the 50s'. But maybe that's not even too bad at all for all those homesick greeks :)

They call it a greek farmer, but honestly I don't know if any of the them have ever been in Greece. We ordered souvlaki, spcified it should be dinner grilled on stick but got a slice of "fat hamon" wrapped into micro owen warmed pitabread. The stifado was even worse as it was a knockle from lamb, drowned in butter and again warmed in a micro owen. Tried to complain but not near any interrest of listening. We decided to pay and leave. No reaction or question why we did not eat our food. Worst food ever, a complete disaster.

This place is in need of serious updating - it's fallen way behind the times, especially as it's located in close proximity with Notting Hill.We started with an ok Greek country salad and some pittas. We were recommended what might have been an attempt at Meze for two adults/two children, but what a poor effort - basically one platter consisting of over-rated home made meat-balls, a large stuffed pepper, and another platter of grilled pork chops and chicken breasts, and a poor attempt at authentic Cretan sausage, topped with sliced tomato and grilled onions. We shared a bottle of water between us.Unfortunatley for this place, competition is too strong, but they probably rely on passing trade in a busy part of London, and hey, if the customer doesn't return, then who cares? I would recommend the 'The Real Greek' instead, which is miles ahead of this place.Kind of felt sorry for the guy cooking/serving/managing - a typical Greek, with a lot of talk, over-rating his food. However, I felt more sorry for myself for being ripped-off - charged £50.So, if you don't want bad reviews, respect your customers and sort yourselves out I'd say.

You're not gonna beat this place for souvlaki quality outside of Greece! And for £3.50 you can't grumble. Excellent stuff... a hidden gem.

Now I know what you're going to say... " why go to the Greek farmer for an English breakfast?".... But they advertised it outside and at £5.50 we thought it would be worth a punt.Oh how wrong we were! From the second we passed point of no return (ordering and seating) the warning signs were there.... The girl running off to fetch bread.... The instruction that tea was extra.... And don't you even dare ask for a glass of water! The cafe was hot, close and dark.... I wasn't expecting the ritz but perhaps a few more lightbulbs would be better! The toast (well bread with a light tan) came out 10 minutes before the breakfast.... The extra tea (made in the cup, no pot) was soon to follow..... Then the finale.... The FULL English breakfast. If you're ever on a desert island and all you have is a deep fat fryer and you fancy a breakfast.... You want to be stranded with the chef (cough) from the Greasy oops Greek farmer... 3 button mushrooms... Full of grease.... 1 tomatoe, full of grease..... 2 chipolatas, full of grease...... 2 slim fatty rashers of bacon, full of grease.... And you guessed it, 2 fried eggs layered with lashings of grease! To hide the taste of grease the cook (cough) had seasoned with lashing of salt that made this meal simply awful! To prove my point about the breakfast one bloke walked out midway through with out paying after his complaints fell on deaf ears, myself I put it down to experience.I got my £6.50 ready.... Surely they wouldn't want more than a pound for that dross mug of tea!! Oh they did... They wanted £2! £7.50 and not a baked bean or hash brown in sight! All I can say is if you want a Friday breakfast treat do not visit the Greasy Robber.... I mean Greek farmer!!!

Hi guys we went there 4 of us.the food was AMAZING.it was the best Greek food i had in london so far. The boss man treated us 4 tsipouro(traditional greek drink) and when we asked for the bill at the end the woman treated us 4 sweets... We thought its so nice of them, then when they gave us the bill we reallized they charged us for what they treated us... So I am a bit comfused about this place because the way they trying to get the money is not polite and fair so be careful...if they pretend they wanna treat you something be ready for that...!

The Greek Farmer offers a very good variety of home-made Greek food, especially if you are a fan of roast meats. Relaxing and informal atmosphere for groups of friends. You can ask for different combinations of portions and mixed platters which the hosts are keen to serve. Servings are quite large and good to share. It is also one the few places in London to serve pork kebabs (gyros).

Outside was really cold and we were looking for some coffee where would be some free table, so got into this Greek fast food. Well for the money we paid it wasn't so bad experience as the waitress was really polite and serve us within a short time we took our seats. We had just Greek coffee and cappuccino, both very nice and kind of baklava to share which was fresh. Because of greek folk music we felt for a while somewhere out from London, otherwise interior could be much better and they have loads what to improve like cable hanging out for no reason in the middle of the wall and orange balloons on pictures (Halloween pass by long time ago ;)

picked up a chicken takeaway from The Greek Farmer while on the go and I must say it was a terrible choice. It was a portion of roast chicken with a tiny portion of vegetables. With the plastic cutlery, it was a nightmare to eat and did not even taste fresh.

A more than unpleasant experience. The queuing system is very difficult to understand (you have to scan a QR code, queue outside). Then, there were 4 tables available but the servers did not seat us there. In addition, I received my (hot) dish 15 minutes before my partner received her lukewarm dish… Finally, there is a tax (not applied in our other brunch places) of 12.5% for the service, which was very bad. I therefore absolutely do not recommend this place which is overrated and not worth the wait.
