Great little Chinese takeaway. Discovered after my partner and I decided to try something different to our usual spot on wanstead highstreet. This place does really good salt & pepper tofu. The chow mein is generously portioned with a good flavour & I enjoyed eating it with the kung po chicken. The elderly couple who run the place are softly spoken and diligent in getting the food made quickly. 10/10 recommend trying it out.

Had a delivery. Utterly awful. Food was cold. Duck over cooked and smelt foul. Two long black hairs in prawn dish. Disgusting.

Single-handedly the best Chinese restaurant I've had the pleasure of ordering from. The service, food, and delivery times are a exemplary. My partner and I haven't been able to even contemplate ordering elsewhere since our first oder (and we're quite a few orders deep now!). Compliments to the staff across the board, we have, and shall continue to sing your praises and recommend you to our friends.

Terrible customer service I've been coming here for years. I ordered a satay tofu and noodles. The noodles was fine but the satay tofu had no satay sauce on it. I called them to let them know and I went to get another one after arguing for a good 15 minutes with them as they didn't believe me. I get there and then they tell me I need to bring it so they can see it. So I had to go all the way back home in the rain to get it and then again to get the noodles as I got fed up and wanted a full refund as my noodles were now cold. They chose to think I'm lying and as a result they've lost a long time customer and are too short sighted to see it all for £11 which I spent almost an hour and a half to get back out of principle. Bunch of clowns. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Since lockdown, I have struggled to find a good, home-delivery Chinese meal, in the Iford area. I have tried many. The Great Wall is the only one that came up to my expectations. Polite, friendly staff, freshly cooked food, good portions, and the delivery time as given.

During the lockdown , we ordered many home deliveries from most of our local Chinese takeaway shops. The home delivery service times were un predictable, and the preheated food was unappetising. Fortunately, a friend told us about The Wall. Fantastic. The food is always freshly cooked. Good portions, friendly staff and delivery times are great. Highly recommended.

this place is RUBBISH. the food looked like it was chewed up and spat out 50 times. it tasted naaastaaayyyyyyy. the flavours just don't bond together, much like you and your crush. i am addicted to this place....NOT. to be honest i found that the box or whatever you call was much nicer than the food itself. that one star is for the fact that i can use the bag it came in as one to puke the food back out into.

By far the best Chinese takeout I've had, friendly service and good portion size. Recommend the chicken chow mein and the beef shezuan 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

They do the special sauce which is orange which you cannot find anywhere else highly recommended. Very good and tasty food. Very pleasant staff happy to cook your food the way you want it.

The food is fab, the people are very frendly and the portions are good. The quality of chicken and size of prawns is excellent. Hope it never changes.

Chinese lad at the counter 10/10 service quite polite. Good food I recommend the sweet and sour chicken 10/10 would buy again. Ate at the new world takeaway the other day and found this much better. Btw I got my suit dirty and got it dry cleaned at ash-dry cleaner and got it back at the same day.

Chinois à emporter excellent pour le prix et authentique, tout est préparé sur commande. Par contre s'est trompé dans ma commande à deux reprises.

Awful experience. My son ordered £33 worth of food for himself and two friends for delivery. We are half a mile away only. They took an hour to deliver and did not warn him when he called to order. He called to find out why delay. They said it was because they had to buy some ingredients!!! At our front door finally with the food, ?my son naturally asked for discount due to the breach of contract.. takeaway is supposed to be fast food...this was not!!! I mean..would uou wait an hour in the shop itself for your food? Er no. The woman deliverer refused to take a mere £3 off the £33 despite my son being very nice and explaining their predicament and instead just turned around and went back to her car with all the food!!! My son and friends ordered pizza instead which they enjoyed and was delivered efficiently. He and we wont be returning to Great Wall. Half An hour later my husband had to go past the takeaway shop and it was empty. I wonder why!!

They cook the best chinese food. I order from them frequently and the food has always been tasty. This place is a hidden gem. The staff are also very friendly, its a nice local.

Got to say the best Chinese takeaway iv had by a long way everything was lovely very well priced so much food as well dry ribs was lovely chow min nice prawns 10/10 a must try!

Ordered from here while staying at the Premier Inn since the on site restaurant don't do take aways and traveling with infant twins don't always allow for sit down meals at night. The food was really tasty and the portions ample
