Great Wall in East Hampshire

First time trying this takeaway, just felt lazy and they delivered. The food arrived promptly and the portions were a good size. I did consider calling this review "Hot and cold" rather than "Hit and miss" As that would be a better description of our meal. The duck was very tasty and delicious and was one of the best I had had ,I really enjoyed it. The sweet and sour chicken balls came without any sweet or sour, but as plain chicken balls go they were OK. Then there was the egg fried rice, this was terrible, it was cold, dry and had no egg that we could see and was pretty tasteless.

Haven't ordered from here in years due to previous bad experience. Ordered for delivery tonight as we had read many, many good reviews on social media, didn't want to leave house and they took payment online. Took 1 1/2 to arrive. Was tasty, delicious and hot. Rice fluffy. Just 2 gripes... No complimentary small bag of crackers which you normally get at a takeaway and only got 4 small ribs for a cost of over £7.

Ordered a take away last weekend and paid over the phone which u would think would be ok, However the next day payment started coming out of my account that I knew nothing about, this was the only company I had giving these bank details to for over a year, tried to talk and email regarding this and no response, have reported to the bank and police as fraud now. Word of advise if u do order from these pay cash otherwise someone there keeps your bank details and spends your money.

This chinese takeaway is the worst chinese i have ever had everyfng was cold an dry they forgot some of my order an made me drive down and collect it awful customer service and awful food

Went in on a Saturday against my better judgement. Look from outside not good. Even worse than I thought. Staff rude and unfriendly, food horrible couldn't eat much of it. Had bad upset stomach after eating it. Worst Chinese I've ever had.

Food ok, prices fair, cleaner of late but portions seem to have been cut back. Will certainly return soon

Just had the worst takeaway ever . Full of grease. Chicken balls over cooked full of grease even the prawn crackers we're over cooked .awful

Excellent food but very expensive. I'd expect to pay these prices in a sit down Peking restaurant. Just a small example... £2.80 just for a small pot of extra Satay Sauce. Sometimes it's full but last week only got half a pot. Very dissaponting. Nevertheless it is the best style of food in the area. Shame also it is only level 3 for food hygiene which is not good by today's standards but on saying that it has one of the highest scores of all the taka ways in bordon so I won't eat anywhere else for that reason. The food is always deliver usually 10 to 15 minutes before the expected time so that is always a bonus.

very good choice of menu. food is always served hot by very friendly staff. it is the best take away in the village in my opinion.

Having just moved to the area, and Chinese being one of our favourites , you could say we know what is good and what isn't..... This isn't! Lemon chicken... Made with artificial lemon ... Horrid! And bulked up with strips of cooked cucumber, very odd! The other chicken dish was flavourless , just overloaded with salt. The only dish that we had that was nice was the rice! Very sad as we always like to support local business ! But what has made that our 1st and last visit is NOT getting our MONEY BACK on a dish we ordered £6.80 worth( which is a lot of money ) , that was missing from our order. Having reported it back to the restaurant as soon as we got home , our details were taken down, no apology or replacement given and when my husband went to collect the refund the owner/ manager refused to give it back as he said he had no record of it!!! Nothing else to say really except , give a wide birth!!

The food is very good if not expensive for what it is. I am always cautious though as they do not display a current food hygiene rating. Having looked on the Hampshire food hygiene rating site I must say I was a bit dismayed that it was middle of the road. In this day and age, everyone selling food should be a 5 rating. never the less, the food is good and his crispy Duck is excellent.

Always order from this place and have never been disappointed . Delivery is always well under the standard fourth minutes that they always say. Will continue to use.
