Best fish and chips I've ever had.

Best cod and chips we have ever had. Cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. All cooked fresh on the premises. Very friendly staff.

Excellent fish and chips Nice thick cod and lovely crispy chips cooked fresh while you wait. So piping hot. Server always kind and friendly. Shop nice and welcoming and clean. What more can you ask?. My now goto chippy.

Nice server however food was poor. Edible, but not great, a disappointment for the cost. Super stodgy batter. Wouldn’t go back.

The fish and chips at this shop are always fresh and perfectly cooked, but what really stands out is the incredible service. The staff member there works tirelessly to ensure every order is made with care and served promptly. Their dedication makes every visit a pleasure, and the food even better.

The member of staff is very friendly and always washing his hands. The food is cooked to order in most cases it may take a bit longer but then you always get hot food. The prices are very fair and in line with other takeaways. There is seating outside of you can’t wait to eat your food. Would recommend.

Wanted something quick this was not it, thought with the shop being empty service would be faster, although the order was taken straight away it took at least 5 mins for the fish to be battered. Order arrived chips were lovely however they had got my order wrong and instead of a fishfinger i was given a Fishcake which was disgusting, Very thin, dry and honestly I've bought better frozen i cannot believe they charge so much for it. Having said that another family member had Cod which looked very nice. Will NOT be going back.

It's just another fish and chips. Standard. Not special. They're scared you steal the vinegar and you almost pay the air your breathing.

Don’t waste your time here Chips flavourless and dry Fishcake sat there for hours so dry as anything overcooked too Guy working there looked annoyed to be there

Was staying in the hotel next door.Grabbed a battered sausage and chips on my way up to my room. Chips were spot on,very good. The batter was good and crispy although the sausage wasn't the best I'd ever had.Seemed to be more rusk in it than meat (guessing it wasn't pork) All cooked fresh though by a really friendly staff member. I would go back but would perhaps have a Pukka pie next time instead of the sausage !!

Maybe one of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Fish was so thin it looked as though the loin had been cut in half to make more money. It was cooked fresh whilst I waited but I would not bother to recommend or go back. The mushy peas and curry sauce were micro waved but were still thick set when we served up. Costs more to go to the beach front but worth the extra cash.

Excellent gluten free fish and chips.

Awful quality. Portion sizes so small and so expensive. Didn’t even put salt on when asked. Curry sauce sat in a tub drying out in the heater for ages and hardly any batter on sausage. Worst chip shop I have ever used.

Not so bad. Lots of chips and a large piece of fish. I regret the sauce isn’t homemade. Not the best one I’ve tried but was ok. Nice staff btw!

Reasonable fish n chip shop. Had takeaway for a group on a Saturday night. The food was pretty good with everyone enjoying half pounders, fish & chips and fish finger butties. Not the classiest establishment but reasonably priced. Food cooked to order but that does mean a wait. One small table with two seats for very limited eating in opportunity

Freshly cooked service was acceptable food was typical chippy food no complaints the workie even washed his hands.

Ordered fish and chips x2. The fish was so thin there was hardly anything to the fillet. Think they must of sliced the fillet but charged the same amount. Avoid.

Local chippy to where we were staying. Fish and chips ordered. Small chips which was a v small portion. Dissapointing. They tasted fine though. Fish was small but delicious. All made fresh to order which is great but it took 10-15mins so bare that in mind. I'd eat there again but order large chips this time.

I'll be honest, not great, it was a Saturday night which you would expect to be busy and was! I used to manage a chippy, we'd have have atleast 5-6 fish cooked and on show at every given moment knowing it's going to sell, same goes for chips, sadly great British fish and chips was actually halal meat and just to get sausage and chips took us 40 minutes, there were people pushing In and getting served because they were loud as well, so all other customers who'd been there almost an hour waiting for 2 fish and chips had been pushed aside and forgotten about, we were asked 3 times what our order was, food didn't taste great at all and sadly will not be returning. The chip shop is definitely in need of improvement and time management.

Very good.. I'm impressed Used this chippy a few times now & the food, service & staff have all been first class. Nice colour on the chips, crispy batter on fish & sausages & quite possibly the BEST pea fritters on the planet Well worth the money, fresh food cooked to order & sensibly priced

Lovely battered cod and chips cooked to order. Reasonable price particularly considered increasing energy costs.

Very happy, generous portion size, very polite and freshly made to order, took a small amount of time waiting but worth it. I look forward to trying more of the menu. Had battered sausage, large chips and curry sauce (good taste and consistency) all for £6. (28/10/22)

Went in for a large chips and 3 sausages and chips was not a large by far it was a small at best I paid £3.50 for chips that will feed a 5 year old I had to cook more food when I got in £10.50 down the drain

Very poor service if your eating in your dinner should come on a plate not in 2 polystyrene boxs one Wooden fork between 2 no condiments fish was never cod as it was so thin it was transparent chips were cooked ages before so they were cold the batter was pure grease would I recommend No I don’t think we see any customer service

If what your looking for you is traditional fish and chips then please don’t waste your time. Frozen fish, frozen chips, microwaved peas, however they charge top prices! Please don’t be fooled it’s an insult to traditional local caught fish and chips!

Chips had a funny taste and the fish was an off yellow. Good value for money, but I won't be going back.

Previous reviews complain of poor service but that didn't happen when I visited. Order was taken quickly after person in front had given theirs and the food didn't take long. Service was good and very polite. Food was delicious and chips were nicely cooked, its what you expect from a good chip shop.

Very poor Customer Service and Organisations. Not looking to visit again. Placed order and waited outside the shop. Eight Customers walked after me. Everyone received their order and I was still waiting. Eventually been told that they got served first because they only wanted chips. Now my order was finally ready but guess what, the customers before me took all the chips so now I had to wait for one portion of chips. I suggest you avoid at all cost.

Fish was poor with soggy batter which I removed as it was unpleasant it was expensive for the quality of food. Positives chip's were ok and staff where friendly

I can honestly say next time I’m in Bournemouth I will be staying well clear of this place, they were rude to my partner and to top it of the fish and chips were awful, do not bother wasting your money.

Food was inedible, oily and cold. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the food after ordering, and when we tried to take it back, we were told we couldn't get a refund or better food, because the order was taken 40 minutes ago - most of that was just waiting for it to be ready. The staff were rude and the food was awful.

Not "great". A large portion of chips is a small in my opinion. Fried calamari taste stale and the sausage was ok. Sachets of Ketchup are 15p. Would re revisit nor recommend.

An utterly disorganised mess of a place.

Unfortunately compared to last year this has gone right down hill. There was nothing prepared so the 12 people queuing had to wait for every order, over 30 minutes to wait, the portions has got really small. The batter on the Cod could break your teeth . My suggestion would be take a look at how you was operating during the last summer and revert back to that, currently this isn't working with your new guy that is 6 months into the job.They definitely won't cope in busy hot weather .

If I could give 0 star I would . Over £9 for fish and chips . A battered sausage was bigger than the fish I recieved . Portion sizes are poor. Service was very slow . The server handled the food with bare hands and his fingernails were extremely long no doubt collecting dirt from everywhere and anywhere .

I've been here a few times. Chips are really tasty, fish has a nice flavour and a nice batter. Prices are reasonable enough.

We had a few things off the menu and it was all rough!! The chips tasted funky as did everything else.

The worst chips I have ever tasted. Inedible! Went back and got a new batch but no apology and family had already eaten their fish, nuggets, etc.

The worst fish and chip shop I’ve been too, all the chips were the one you get at the bottom of the bag and dry, COD batter was coming off, will not be going back.

Had chips from here. Was fried fresh and was decent. 30p for ketchup is a joke. No smile customer service and was to wait outside the shop while he tried the chips, we were the only customers so space wasn’t an issue

Strange colour to batter and an oily taste. Feel rather nauseous several hours after eating. Interior dirty especially around windows. Not sure why they advertise as Great British when they all speak to each other in their Mother tongue, which wasn’t English.

No customer service here, greasy food, I won't be returning

WORST EVER!!! We were starving when entered.. The Cod was very small, oil dripping , and coated in a batter that was not crispy and looked like an yellowish oily sponge. Chips were even worst as stuck to the batter! We left very disgusted and still peckish

For six adults we've all agreed Probably, no, DEFINITELY the WORST fish and chips EVER!!!!! Only one real choice of fish, Cod, unless you count Scampi. The Cod was so small, under cooked and coated in a batter that was more like deepfried sponge cake than batter. We couldn't even eat the fish with the batter removed. £4.20 for the EACH fish that ended up in the bin. The chips at £2.00 weren't much better, small chip ends with only 5 actual chips. £2.00! They saw us coming. We visit Bournemouth regularly, bjt this'll be the first and last time we visit this dump. If your tempted, don't, turn and run in the opposite direction. To make matters worse those that tried the fish all have dodgy tummies now. Really deserved a big Minus 10 stars.

Great local place for some takeaway Fish and Chips. My wife and I are from the states so not an expert but the portion and quality as well as price were a home run

We stumbled upon this fish & chip shop and thought we’d give it a try. The menu was straightforward and although there was a wait (about 5 minutes to order and 6-7 minutes to receive our order) the guy working was very pleasant; he apologized for the wait as well as the fact we had to deal with a VERY drunk man that was also waiting. We would have no problem going to this establishment again.

Asked if i could sample a chip, i was told no and then individual stuck his nose in the air and moved on to next customer. If you want poor customer service go here.
