Delicious food! Atmosphere is cosy and friendly. Great for cocktails. Definitely recommend.

been a few times staff very friendly and attentive. food is great had Charcuterie board and wine lots of variety and choice of meats, cheese and fruit on board. had the Sunday dinner a few times meat is cooked to perfection (beef, lamb, pork belly with the all important crackling). veg is spot on never over cooked and variety of veg, proper meat gravey and roasties. reasonably priced also.

Went for a roast dinner today, the best we've had from a while. Plenty of veg and it was all really tasty! Will be back soon.

Called in tonight with my friends after seeing a show in Manchester. We didn’t book a table but was seated immediately. Had a lovely meal and wine at a very reasonable price. The staff are lovely and attentive. Will definitely return.

I've eaten at Grape N Grain many times. The Sunday lunch is delicious and comes with a lovely variety of accompaniments. The portions are plentiful and well presented. I've also had the small plates on offer. The cheese pie is perfect to name but one! The atmosphere is always very relaxed, with a good choice of background music to enjoy the food, beers, wine and lovely cocktails. The staff work so hard to give an enjoyable, relaxing experience to the customers at this Bar and Restaurant. I hope they continue to be successful!

Been there few times before and never had any issues, food was good, plenty of staff. Went there again on Sunday 15.09.24 and what a DISSAPOINTMENT!!!! When I walked in no came to sit me down, found my own table. Received food but no plates to eat it ! And then my excitement went from 10 to 0 in seconds regarding food. We have ordered: Truffle fries AKA ( cheese chips ) one good thing on the table actually but no one can go wrong with chips! King Prawns (4 prawns for £7.50!!!) served in overflowing sauce, no fresh bread on menu to dip in. Chicken skewers ( size of 10cm skewer with tiny diced chicken pieces ) sizing for this price well disappointing! Garlic mushrooms which were served on 3 slices of baguette covered in sauce and balsamic vinegar (not everyone likes it, we do not) which made bread soggy and not pleasant to eat, and vinegar killed non existent taste of garlic. And last but not least Pork dumplings served with ginger dip ( about which chef did not know and when asked waitress had to say it is on the menu) but that is not the worst part, out of 5 dumplings served 4 of them were black burned, dry on edges and we had to cut it all out. Then after nearly 20min second portion arrived when we finished eating ( but that portion was good, dry on edges but more edible) And for the last dish DESSERT - ppls favourite CHUUUURROS got very excited and as before excitement went from 10 to 0 in seconds!!!! Rock hard!!!! Raw inside!!!! Not possible to cut them with spoon! And for all that there were no one to put complain to! Most enjoyable thing we had was COCTAILS! I do not know if that was different chefs or they were just not bothered on Sunday but this meal dffinetally changed my opinion and wanting to come back.

Went here Sunday, we hadn’t booked and the place was full to the brim but the lovely young girl found us a tall table next to the bar which was great 😊 Cocktails arrived and we ordered from the Sunday menu. Food was delicious and plentiful! Can only thank them for their hospitality and have booked for Saturday with my girlies for bottomless brunch. 🍸

I dined here a while ago, and the experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to finally write a review. The atmosphere was tense, with a manager yelling at a waitress right in front of customers, which ruined our mood and made the place feel hostile. The BBQ sauce, a key part of their menu, was bland and sour, a major letdown. The waitstaff seemed stressed and disorganized, likely due to the poor management. Overall, it was not worth the visit. There are plenty of better options with better food and a more welcoming atmosphere. Avoid this place if you can.

3rd time . Food was very good. Only seems to be 1 barman/server. He was very pleasant but sometimes he wasnt available when needed.

This place is my absolute favourite place to go in Littleborough. The whole vibe and atmosphere is amazing. The bar staff are so lovely and welcoming, the chef, Matt is self taught and next level. The food never disappoints and to be honest this place absolutely slaps!!! It knocks anything out of the park! Please PLEASE come and try this place out, come and support them. Help them thrive, it's the least they deserve!

Went in on father's day it was busy but service was good. Food on the other hand was disappointing. Great flavours let down by poor quality chicken and meats.

We booked at table for 6:30 last night (29th June) and were seated straight away, within 5 minutes we’d ordered drinks and placed our food order, others arrived after us and were also seated, 40 minutes had passed and we noticed others that had arrived long after we did had received and already eaten their food, we were looking around wondering what was going on to which the waitress came over to tell us she was sorry but she hadn’t put out order through, we then had to wait a further 30 minutes before the food actually came and when it did we could tell it had been rushed, we ordered chicken skewers off the small dishes menu and they were absolutely horrible, we couldn’t eat them and had to leave them, we were given 2 free drinks for our inconveniences but we were still charged £56 for food that took an hour and 10 minutes to arrive and wasn’t even edible, we left extremely disappointed as we have been to the grape n grain before and the food has been lovely, but sadly we won’t be returning, it was much better quality and service when it was toppo’s.

Family Birthday celebrations. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a mixture of full meals and tapas all were excellent. Dont miss out on the meat balls, patatas bravas and of course the "small" cheese board.

Another 10/10 Meal prepared from The talented young chef molly. Not had a bad meal Here yet the sea bass is amazing as are the weekly specials.

Sunday 2nd June 2024 This pub served beers from vocation brewey on keg today Pub was packed with really decent couples eating and drinking wines and beers Pub has a beautiful interior, and music played was easy to the ear. The owner was a very positive man who knows what the best ales and ways to run bars Keep up the good work sir

As we were driving to london we decided to take a break and have a rest at grape n gain service station where we got supplies and food. First we went to get food as it was lunchtime and we were hungry so we got mcdonalds and lastly we went to whsmith and got some sweets

Went with a group of 8 for a friend's birthday. It was relatively busy for a Wednesday evening and there was just the 2 staff working. With this said, we all enjoyed our evening and even with the 2 staff the quality of the food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend!

Our first visit in Feb 23 was fantastic so we returned last night. I am afraid the service was poor. The table was reserved and the reservation sign was on the table but the table was not set. It was sticky with glass marks on arrival. The service was slow. Had to wait for our wine for a long time. Eventually the closed bottle was served. Sent it back to open and they did not cut the foil. The bottle was returned untidy. Plus we never got our water. The cutleries and plates were just placed on the corner of the table for us to arrange them in front of ourselves. So the serving staff require serious training and are letting your business down. There were a few annoying fruit flies around. There was no atmosphere and the place was half empty. There were 3 or 4 items unavailable at 19:30 on a Sat night which is a real shame. On the plus side the food we ordered was really tasty and flavoursome.

My daughter had received the offer to do a couple of trial days at this restaurant she has gone in and tried her hardest and I went in yesterday to observe her make sure she was ok. This is what I noticed, she was sacked mid shift because the boss and the man who controls the pub didn’t communicate with each other about my daughter doing trial shifts so the boss was already against keeping her on, she got paid this Friday just gone after she worked for 4 hours once last week and the boss said she’d be paid on the Thursday. my daughter received a message mid shift saying she’s not getting the job because they have received complaints about her herself which is a lie since I was at the restaurant myself and most of the complaints were about the women behind the bar and the undercooked food that was constantly being served. I’m absolutely disgusted with the way she’s been treated she has been messed about and the manager “joe” said he actually wanted to work with my daughter since she was hard working and seemed like she wanted to learn, but the boss was already against it, so if she’s done good why sack her mid shift. NO Integrity in this horribly run business the staff are disgusting, on their phone constantly behind the bar the chef picks his nose while cooking peoples food overall terrible restaurant

Amazing food, good menu with a lot of variety, we had Sunday Lunch (which was awesome) and the hot beef and onion sandwich with chips SO NICE! and great atmosphere. Lovely staff, very polite and accommodating. Can even take dogs in after a long walk which we did. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again!

Went on Saturday for an impromptu lunch. Service was excellent and the food was lovely. I chose the cheese and onion pie, without a doubt, the best cheese and onion pie I’ve ever had. Ordered a side of salt and pepper fries as well and they were lovely too. My daughter had small plates which were all excellent. She requires a gluten free choice and they couldn’t place their hands on the gluten free bread so a member of the team nipped out to the local co op to buy some fresh. All in, it was a fab experience and we’ve booked to return this week :)

Lovely food and really friendly service. We had a little bit of a wait for our food but the waiter looked after us well whilst we were waiting. My only criticism is the selection of non-alcoholic drinks, but this is a problem for me in most places I go. I would love to see some good quality kombuchas, for example, on offer. A lot of care and effort goes into helping diners make their wine choices and it would be nice to see the same attention given to non-alcoholic drinks. I do get it. The name is GRAPE and Grain but I know more people are now choosing non-alcoholic options and it would be great to see somewhere local offering some more interesting choices.

An impromptu visit, first time we've been. Nice food, Vocation beers, friendly staff and decent prices. We did have a little bit of a wait for the food but it was reasonably busy for midweek and they looked to be short-staffed. We weren't in a rush, though, and the food was tasty and well-cooked.

Had a lovely lunch here this week. Extensive tapas menu, reasonably priced and food quality was outstanding. Very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

The food was delicious. Quite surprised that there wasn't more choice on the main menu. Would have expected a fish dish (not just fish and chips) and would have liked more choice of 'specials'. But cannot fault the food we had; the seabass was especially nice. The prices were reasonable too. We had 3 tapas (small plates), cheese and onion pie, 2 pints, a bottle of wine and an Irish coffee for less than £60!! If I had to criticise anything it would be the dress code/presentation of the staff. Friday night I wouldn't expect to see someone working the bar wearing shorts and a t-shirt or the waiter/server wearing trainers and a big checked shirt not even tucked in....it came across as quite scruffy and not in keeping with the clientele. Having said that, all staff were very polite and helpful. We did not have to wait too long for food or drinks even though I think they may have been short staffed. Would definitely visit again soon.

First ever visit, and wowee!!!! The food was excellent, and the waitress and bar girl were brilliant, both having a fantastic sense of humour. The drinks were brought to our table all evening. It seemed that the early evening was mostly diners, and from 8pm onwards, it moved to drinkers, but not rowdy drinkers. Wonderful, peaceful atmosphere, I was surprised how late it was when I glanced at my watch. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening and definitely recommend. 4x small mains, 1 x chips, and 8 x G&T's came to £73. Excellent value for money.

I was looking forward to coming here, however me and my friends were very disappointed. Cocktails pricy and strawberry daiquiri come in small glass. Had to wait 25 minutes for my drink. Won't be going again!

Came for a second visit on Tuesday and have already booked for a Third. It was very quiet but that didnt affect the ambience at all. Food excellent really fresh and well cooked. Reasonable prices and a staff team who are helpful and efficient without being intrusive. We had 6 dishes from the small plates menu. Best Tappas around. Highly recommended

Went on 10/3/23 not really what I expected. Food not too bad and service ok price reasonable. Although I booked in advance they seemed unaware we were coming no table ready After eating I spoke to a member of staff and informed him I was surprised people were not asked to stop vaping. He informed me that vaping was allowed. I also pointed out someone had brought a dog in and he said they allowed dogs as it was a pub and not a restaurant I will not be going back again

I was introduced to this restaurant a few months ago. Since then I have brought several family members and friends. I can not fault this place, service, food, staff all get 5 stars.

Awful ! Rude staff ,no customer service skills - literally, no acknowledgment whatsoever Girl behind the bar stares are you as if it say why are you at the bar ? Well obviously to order a drink. Then slams the card reader for me to pay but no price confirmation or please/thank you Manners cost nothing Good customer service comes a long way So it’s a no from me and never to return again :)

Spent an evening here, after being initially hesitant to book as was struggling to find the menu. Really glad we did, the food is incredible. Split 6 small plates between 2 and there was an abundance of food. Also good selection of drinks (so glad you do Neck Oil). Service also great and we will be coming back in the near future.

Having heard some good comments, 3 of us visited on Sunday afternoon .2 went for tapas and I went for the 3 course Sunday lunch at £19:95 .We were all.delighted -reasonably priced , good quality ,tasty and well-cooked food .pleasant environment and excellent service . Will.definitely visit again .

Lunched here on Halloween eve and had 4 small plates (tapas). Everything was hot and very tasty. Well worth a visit, real ale too. About time Littleborough had somewhere that can produce something other than kebabs and pizzas!

The price is ridiculous for what you get, the portion sizes are smaller than children's, the food was undercooked and cold, the drinks are borderline a scam, will never come here again, fix your restaurant grape n grain.

Can’t get enough of this place. Been twice for the cocktails and tapas and the food is to die for. Best halloumi fries I have ever tasted, the sauce for the mushroom ciabatta is mind blowing. I could go on and on about how good each dish tastes. Tried the Sunday dinner today and I will never go anywhere else for Sunday lunch again. The chicken was so tender, Yorkshire puddings we’re huge!! The gravy was out of this world. The staff are so friendly and polite. They have a wide range of cocktails im yet to try them all but they are just wonderful and not selfish with the alcohol either.

What a amazing little place this is! Delicious food....the seabass was particularly delicious, lovely staff and although they weren't on the menu made the most gorgeous cosmopolitan! Will be back next week 😋
