The menu changes a lot so perhaps we were just unlucky when we attended. The spaghetti was hard, the meatballs and other starters were oily. The sauces were very good. The prices were a bit high for what was offered. The waiters were friendly but constantly reminded us that our booking was time limited, but were also quite slow in responding to requests.

The staff was friendly, kitchen and service, both attentive and kind. The farinata really delicious. I only had few starters, food was fresh. Thank you

Been meaning to try Grano for a while and it was as good if not better than expected. Perfect little Italian (proper Italian) ✨ we shared all of our starters mains and deserts which meant we got to try a lot of the menu which was a lovely way to spend an evening with friends. The pasta dishes were so YUM 😋 also so reasonably priced considering the quality of the food x

We stumbled upon this little gem by chance...great all round, chicken Focaccia..yum yum, lovely coffee and service..we'll be back!

Went for a lunch and was quite quiet for a Saturday afternoon, but the food was incredible. Would definitely recommend.

We came here for an early dinner on first table. The food was exceptional and the service was great. Even our 18 month old agreed. We will recommend and definitely be back.

Lovely air conditioned, dog friendly restaurant. I met my daughter Lottie in Bristol and we ate lunch here two days in a row. Excellent food, served by Levi who is the most welcome, attentive helpful and friendly person you could ever meet. He introduced me to various food and drink, different to what I would normally choose. All prepared perfectly and delicious. Thank you to all the staff especially Levi, will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

i always love coming here. the people are kind and the pizza ohhh my goddd the pizza 😭 it’s too good! the evil goat is my go too. the coffee is lovely and it’s all so reasonably priced. such a lovely place to sit in 🤎✨ levi is an exceptional server and i always love having a good chat with him. 🌟

We ate lunch here. Its a great little Italian bistro style establishment. The milanese chicken on focaccia was incredible! Great service and a brilliant atmosphere. Would definitely return!

We had a great experience at Grano. The food was outstanding! I would highly recommend the bruschetta starter, the caserecce puttanesca and the pesto gnocchi. Levi was very kind and provided great service. We will be back soon!

Food was quite good and prices reasonable. We had burrata and garlic bread to start, followed by pesto gnocchi and beef stew. All really good. The waiter forgot my red wine with the main course, then we waited ages for the bill after asking for it twice. Finally had to walk to the front to pay.

…another nice afternoon at Grano. Nice cocktails, excellent nibbles, nice friends. Levi was, as always very helpful and friendly. If you haven’t been I recommend you to book a meal there…

Lush little Italian in old market. I have been twice now and the food is really delicious! Lovely menu and lovely staff and atmosphere.

This place is mediocre at best, and waaaaay too expensive.

The food and service were good. However, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the 10% 'discretionary' service charge that was automatically added to the bill and pre-entered into the card machine. This isn't a practice I would expect in the UK, where tipping is typically optional and confirmed at the card machine. While I wouldn't mind leaving a tip, it should be an informed choice. Although this charge might be noted at the bottom of the menu in small print (I personally didn't notice that), it should also be verbally confirmed by the staff.

My better half and I had a great time here..if course we had to try some of the cocktails..food was fresh and tasty and you have a great view of the chefs preparing and making your meal..smelt great in here... Staff were fun and accommodating and we tried and gave feedback on a cocktail there were trying to perfect...we will be back!

Regular lunch spot for affordable and delicious weekdays, and today first weekend visit so tried so many other dishes and just wow. Lovely service and ambience and truly yummy authentic food

A stylish Italian restaurant with wonderful food and a great atmosphere. The front of house hospitality from Ruth and team was exemplary.

I don't understand the high ratings for this place. The food is really average (fairly bland, not exciting) and the service wasn't great (painfully slow, restaurant wasn't even open when we arrived for our booking). No reason to return here, especially when there's such great competition for Italian in Bristol.

I only had a coffee... but what a coffee! That's how a coffee should taste.

What an amazing meal! My husband and I were in from Northampton and booked Grano at the last minute. Turned out to be the highlight of the weekend. Everything expertly prepared and as someone who is wheat intolerant, I found a really great selection. Service was also brilliant - attentive but also just right so we were able to really relax and enjoy a slow meal. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite places. Always excellent and impeccable service and delicious, value for money, comfort food! Delicious tiramisu, panacotta and pistachio coffee too! Best lasagna in Bristol for sure! Dog friendly too which is appreciated - our dog is always welcomed with love and treats which is lovely! Love that there’s outdoor seating to have a sunny lunch too!

We came here for a date night and had a lovely evening. The service was amazing and the food was delicious, in particular the arancini and meatballs to start and the mozzarella tomato gnocchi for main. We weren’t blown away by the tiramisu for dessert hence the 4* but otherwise everything was lovely!!

This is a hidden gem. The food is excellent & reasonably priced too. The salad is out of this world! I had the lasagne and we had a salad to share on the table. Delicious! £36 for three people. You should go there, nothing is too much effort for the friendly staff. I will be going again.

Very good food, in particular the salad and the tiramisu is a must

We very much enjoyed our first visit to Grano. We had a variety of small plates, the lasagna, ravioli, tiramisu and panna cotta and everything was absolutely delicious and indulging!

Ruth at Grano - some of the best customer service I've had in a long time. Very polite, informed; customer service done right. 5 star. And generally, Grano - nice food, good atmosphere, prompt service. Will be coming back.

I had a lovely meal, choosing the Spezzatino (beef stew with lots of thyme and a slice of polenta that has been baked, then fried) £16.00. Very tasty and enjoyable. The Barbera D’Asti wine (£4.75 for 125ml) was unfortunately harsh and acidic. Staff were very friendly and polite. 10% “discretionary” service charge automatically added to the bill and typed into the card machine without asking if it’s ok to do so.

Absolutely lovely Italian restaurant! It would be my number one choice in Bristol for sure, very lovely atmosphere, great service and most importantly top quality Italian food! Highly recommend :)

Popped in for a lovely lunch, service from Levi was excellent, an absolute must visit - the evil goat pizza slice is especially lovely!

Alberto is a great chef. The food is perfect. The lunchtime menu is simple yet divine.

The smell of freshly cooked Italian food hits you as soon as you enter. Everything we ate tasted fresh and flavoursome. Portions were a generous size without being overbearing. Waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at Grano as a large booking (we took up almost all of the restaurant) for a friend's birthday. There was plenty of great options in the menu (they even accommodated a special birthday request) the food was delicious and the service speed was ideal. I strongly recommend eating here, I certainly will do again!

Visited for lunch on Saturday where you can choose from the lunch or dinner menu. Took two small plates from the dinner menu (Arancini and meatballs) and two from the lunch (pizza and focaccia sandwich, the veronica). Everything was delicious but my favourites were the Arancini and focaccia. Would like to return on an evening for pasta. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Took my girl here on a date and what a date it was! Food was incredible, fresh and tasted homemade, even with allergies the kitchen staff were highly accommodating. The staff made the experience very welcoming and the atmosphere matched. Would reccomend to anyone wanting a lovely dinner, food and drinks were some of the best I’ve had. Well done Grano 👏

As all the other reviews state, this is a must visit! Everything about this place was excellent! Food? 10/10! Couldn’t have been more fresh! You can literally see the chef making your dish while you sit down. Service? Again! 10/10! Staff were extremely helpful and knew the menu really well. This meant they can help you with recommendations. Pricing? Excellent! The one place you can eat a proper nice meal without breaking your bank account. Will definitely be visiting again! Visit #2 (13/01/2024) Of course we visited again. We had an amazing time! The food was once again amazing! We loved the, Pickled Courgette and all of our mains; Lasagne, Pesto Pasta and Beef Stew! Can’t wait for visit #3!

We had a lovely meal here for 8 people. Service was impeccable and our waitress was very attentive. Food was very tasty, loved the anchovies, arancini and tiramisu were also my highlights. Also very good reviews of their pistachio coffee. Will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu.

The service we received was excellent, just fell a little flat on the food and atmosphere front (maybe because it was mid-week and we just caught it on down night).

Excellent food, fantastic service. We took our 8 month old baby and he was welcomed by very friendly staff. Glad to say we didn't need to use the baby change but great to know they have one! 😅 We'll be back for more arancini soon! 🤤

What a find- a really incredible Italian “family” style restaurant, with fabulous innovative dishes and sensational food- and very reasonably priced! Am the house wines are very drinkable!!! Bravo!!!

This is how food out should be for me and my family. Relaxed yet professional the team are all you could ask for. Delicate and varied aromas alongside fuller flavours, there is so much yumminess on this menu ; it is well thought out and an adventure for the palate. Barbar Asti red wine is supple and elegantly delicious and the Tiramisu 10/10. A proper delight of a restaurant and Def our favourite ! Grazie Mille from Jo and family

So grateful to find this place. Was super tired and hungry after a long day in Bristol. Staying at a local hotel but couldn’t find anywhere to eat. The chef made me something even though I just missed the kitchen close time so I didn’t have to keep walking in circles. Amazing staff, super kind. Thank you !!!! Amazing food too 🙂

Never have I been transported back to a love of food and great service as I have with Grano with my most recent visit. Alberto and Levi made sure both me and my friend were well taken care of and their care and passion for their craft was second to none that I’ve experienced in Bristol. I can whole heartedly recommend the sorrentina gnocchi, the giardiniera, the arancini to name a few. Great Bristol vibes inside and the comfort of an Italian home in one.

I highly recommend Grano if you're looking for good Italian food. The dishes are authentic and very well made, the staff are great and the venue has a good buzz.

Came here for a weekday date night. Amazing vibes, hospitality is great. Very crowded for Wednesday night, you might consider booking. We had burrata and garlic bread for starter and sorrentina gnocchi as main. Everything was absolutely amazing. Burrata was top notch. For dessert we shared affogato and tiramisu. Easily the best affogato I’ve ever eaten! Friendly and hardworking staff. Everything was wonderful. Definitely recommend!

Great Italian Restaurant in town. Truly enjoyed a group dine in. I am also surprised to see someone a political figure 😉 from my home-country Malaysia being part of Grano’s team. We tried their lasagna, nerano pasta, tiramisu and pana cota. Absolutely amazing! Very reasonable and soothing ambience.

Phenomenal food, with precise and very satisfying flavors, kind and attentive service. The burrata with confit peaches was heavenly, papadelle perfectly al dente, yum and thanks!!

Lovely small plates and very nice wine by the glass. Friendly and welcoming even though we only shared a few items and a drink. Great atmosphere.

Undoubtedly one of the best Italians in Bristol. The garlic bread was the right amount of salty and the affogato was the perfect way to finish our evening. The mains were the star of the show, though. The Large Lasagna was hefty and very good. The Parpadelle Narno was incredible, creamy and everything I anticipated. The service is impeccable - we never once had to ask for a refill of water because they were so on it. Also for three courses (splitting the dessert) and drinks it came to £30 each which is so reasonably priced for what you get! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The food at Grano is delicious and I would highly recommend it. The pickles small dish is very tasty and the bruscetta is next level. I really enjoyed it.

Lovely food and service. I'd highly recommend the lasagne but I personally didn't love the crab ravioli. My friends liked it though so might be personal taste.Olives and burata were amazing. Small menu but the Italian food was tasty and authentic. There was a slight delay on one of our dishes but waitress was hugely apologetic and offered a free drink. I'd go back.for the limonchello tiramisu - it was divine! Great local place with a great atmosphere.

Went on Saturday evening. They had no lasagne and no burrata. I’m all for a small menu, but you can’t then have 25% of your main dishes unavailable. I had the vegetarian pasta and it was just fine.

Quite disappointed, ordered a spritz that was transparent I could barely taste the aperol. Pasta portions are small and not amazing for the price. I feel like it was tastier and more generous at the previous location.
