Needed a place to stay for one night in York This place is like a hidden little gem 💎

I got a good deal booking direct. Nice room. Quiet. Easy parking for £5 per day. Great location.

Really nice place, clean rooms, check in process was good and ticked all the boxes. Good location to the town, would go back!

A decent and charming little guest house not too far away from the old city wall of York. We booked a room at Grange Lodge for a weekend while exploring York and the region of Yorkshire. Its location was good and convenient not being too far away from things and being in a somewhat quiet neighborhood. The room however, is as small as it can be, but you get what you pay for. It was decent and alright and it definitely had its charm, but it was sadly not too clean and not very isolated either making it possible to hear all your neighbors in the lodge, especially when they check in/out or do «nightly activities». All in all an alright experience, but keep in mind the size of the room and how easily sounds travel in the old building. It is also not operated and you check in/out and more by yourself.

Nice little gest house easy simple no fuss. Warm Clean rooms clean bedding tea coffee facilities in the room freindly staff helpful easy to find from the station about a five min walk to city center local bars shops and restaurants very close. Would definitely stay at the grange next time I'm in york

Fantastic guest house , very clean , Mary and Jo go out of there way to do anything and go the extra mile . Brilliant location we will definitely be back to stay again

Small but comfortable food not available

We stayed here overnight the room was spacious very cosy and excellent layout it was very spotless and bathroom w as super clean .. bath bedding and bed excellent tv included and tea / coffee very secure very safe highly recommended thank you for the enjoyable stay 😀

Decent basic room clean everything you needed.gound other residents bit noisy

For the price we paid, not a thing to complain about! Room was clean and well presented. Ideal for the hospital, check in made very easy. Bed was comfy but maybe could have used a few more pillows. Great place to stay

Great location and price, the room was clean and tidy which is all we needed- quite small but it’s clearly stated when booking so no surprise there.

Superb location being minutes from the City Centre and it ticked every box for our stay. Clean rooms with everything needed and a seamless self check in service. Staff were also on hand when required and were super helpful with arranging parking without any hassle. All in all a perfect spot for those needing a comfortable base in York at a very reasonable price. Couldn’t ask for more.

The Room was quite small and there was a really old tv but the view and the location were decent

A short walk away from the centre, we booked very last minute as our previous choice had flooded on the day and the staff we were in touch with were wonderfully friendly and very helpful. Would likely be a first choice in future. Thank you.

It was my first time at York. This is an excellent place to stay. It’s central and easy to commute to the awesome tourist attractions. The service is beyond amazing. Definitely felt like home away from home. And yes I got all the care and attention needed as a tourist 😉
